I’ve interned at both the UC Davis Dairy and Goat Facilities, and worked with a number of other species. My work with animals is rooted in an applied understanding of animal behavior, combined with a knowledge of animal ethics and welfare. As a pet owner of 20+ years with various species, I understand how critical it is to build trust with both owner and pet. This is family we’re talkin’ about! Experience with senior/geriatric/end of life care. Formosan Mountain Dog and general rescue dog experience. Some rodent, bunny, tortoise, and snake experience as well. Experienced with anxious and fear aggressive dogs. If I can teach goats to walk on a leash, I can handle your pups! I work from home and have a very flexible schedule, though I prefer bookings in the mornings and early afternoons. I can usually work around any schedule though. During drop ins, I focus on meeting the pet’s needs per the owner’s requests. Then I’ll play and hang out with them, making sure they get lots of love. If they’re anxious, I’ll leave them alone until they feel comfortable to approach me first. I always make sure to check any safety hazards before leaving.

About: I’ve taken care of of dogs since I was about 7, I’ve owned two as a child growing up. As an adult I spent most of my years as a single soldier as a mechanic and many of my coworkers need it sitters for a variety of dogs that I was always happy to assist with. Currently I’m a full time student working on my degree in audio design. I typically have classes twice a week with one online. On the weekends I dj Saturday nights 9-1am. I’m a very active person I run 2 miles to the gym at 6am 5 times a week and walk back after my workout. I’m a 16 year military veteran and have a lot of past experience with helping raise, walk and watch a variety of different animals while I was single and on active duty so now that I have more time on my hands it would be a great way to stay active throughout the week! I typically don’t keep animals at my home, but in other people’s home I always like to be introduced to the pet by the owner and have a very in depth overview of the things their animals absolutely do not like. After that I really like to know the owners worries and what things they need in terms of communication to keep them comfortable. As for the interaction I definitely want to be slow with the pet has any sort of anxiety but I love to give them lots of attention weather that’s to play with them talk to them or let them get comfortable by sitting on my lap or holding them.

About: I love animals and pay them the respect and attention that I'd give a person. If a pet comes to me for attention, they'll get it everytime. I'm hoping to make pets my primary focus. Started my pet photography business and planning to involve pets more and more in my daily life. I take care of older cats in their home and younger ones in mine. I only host 1 family of cats at the same time and do not leave them alone for more than few hours. Most of the time I'm at home due to remote nature of my current 3D modeling job.

About: Hi everyone, I work in mental/behavioral health and am saving up for graduate school! I am very passionate about animals, especially dogs and cats. I moved to California from the Netherlands a few years ago. I am looking for new pet sitting clients in the East Bay or San Francisco. I can do overnight pet sitting as well as walks or visits during the day. I also live right by Lake Merritt so if you live nearby, I’d love to take your dog on walks around the lake. A full loop around the lake takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes (a little over 3 miles). I can pick up and drop off your dog at your house. I have several years experience in cat sitting as well as several years dog sitting and dog walking (middle-aged Labrador, middle-aged German Shepard mix, and puppy Border Collie). I work swing shift (roughly from 3-11pm) on Sunday-Thursday. So, I’m available for drop-in visits or walks during the morning/early afternoon. On Fridays and Saturdays, I might have availability but sometimes I have plans. Please just reach out to check if I’m available on those days! I can’t have pets at my apartment but at clients’ homes, we can play with toys, or we can walk around the neighborhood or to a nearby park. I like to know a little bit about them before I care for them so that I can try to make them feel comfortable being around me.

About: Hi! My name is Stephanie and I have been pet sitting for over 15 years. My love of animals has led me to initially start looking after family and friend's critters to wanting to help others as a way to care for their pets when they're busy or unable to. I have cared for both cats, dogs, even a pig, ranging from young to old. Currently, I provide daily check-ins to see how pets are doing. I also provide walks and play time so they get some engagement and aren't lonely while their owners are away on business or vacation or just busy with work. If you are looking for someone to help you with a walk, a check-in, or play time, please don't hesitate to contact me! I'm currently funemployed so my schedule is extremely flexible. For drop-ins, I drop in once in the morning at 8:30am and/or again in the evening at 6:30pm. For walks, they would be during middle of the day at around 1pm. Prior to an service, I try to communicate with pet owners about anything I should know. I prefer to over communicate to make sure everyone is on the same page and that I have everything I need to make every visit, stay, or walk successful. When visiting a client's home, I allow pets to come up to me first so they can get acquainted with me. I don't force interaction since that can break down trust. If any of the pets have soiled or damaged anything on the property, I'd document it, send it to the client, then clean up any mess. Whether I'm staying at someone's house or doing drop-ins, I give each pet lots of love and attention in the form of pets, belly rubs, and playing games with them. If they are skittish, I tend to let them approach me when they feel comfortable.

About: Other than my years in college, I have always had dogs at home. Sometimes rescue dogs and others from breeders. I’ve had 2 litters of frenchies that I’ve cared for from just after birth to adoption as well as my own dogs from puppies to adults. Familiar with most breeds and temperaments. I’ve had high energy huskies to a very mellow rescue dog. As a stay at home parent I am used to being available for the kids and the pets. Now that they are older and less dependent, I am able to devote more time to caring for pets I currently have two dogs and a fenced yard at home, both neutered females. They get daily walks and ole ty of play time in the backyard where they like to chase each other or play chew tug with toys. They are trained to only go in specific areas of the yard. The are fed on a schedule morning and night and generally sleep wherever they are comfortable, most often right in the middle of the floor. They enjoy a happy lifestyle with lots of love and attention

About: Since I was born, I have had pets running around my house and have been taking care of them for as long as I can remember. Throughout my life, I have had 5 cats and 3 dogs and I know everything there is to know about taking care of them. I will make sure your pets get the same love that my pets get at home. I don't have a job right now so I have plenty of time to hang out with your pets, but I will update my availability when I do find a job. I live in an area with lots of open walking space and places to use the bathroom. There is a park close by with wide open areas that I know pets would love to roam and explore.
