I’m an artist & resident doctor in training living in Albany, and I’ve always loved being around animals. I grew up in İstanbul, Türkiye with both a dog and a cat. Spending time with dogs and cats brings me so much joy, and pet sitting has become a really nice way for me to stay connected to that part of my life. I also live with my partner who had a Cocker Spaniel dog since he was a kid, and cats as well. We both loved growing up with pets and are enjoying getting to know and taking care of dogs together. I have had a cat for 16 years (she lives in Istanbul), and now I am in the phase where I feel ready to have a dog! Growing up we fostered a golden-labrador puppy for 3-4 months and it was one of my favorite experiences ever. As a training doctor it has been hard to find time to have my own dog, so I decided to start out filling this wish by doing Rover. It makes me very happy to take care of dogs, have them over at home and cuddle them as much as they let me. I will take your dog on walks, runs if they are feeling up for it, play around in the grass yard outside our apartment. And will send you many photo updates throughout the day! I enjoy spending time outside, going on hikes or sitting in the sunshine, or sometimes just cuddling watching TV or reading a book. I’m comfortable with dogs of different sizes and personalities. I try to follow each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible so they feel comfortable while their owner is away. Your pet will always be treated with kindness, patience, and lots of affection while they’re with me. I speak Turkish, and a little bit of Spanish. Lived in Oaxaca, Mexico as part of a medical rotation in November and also got to enjoy their love for dogs :)
