Pet care experience
Loving care with resident doctor
I’m an artist & resident doctor in training living in Albany, and I’ve always loved being around animals. I grew up in İstanbul, Türkiye with both a dog and a cat. Spending time with dogs and cats brings me so much joy, and pet sitting has become a really nice way for me to stay connected to that part of my life. I also live with my partner who had a Cocker Spaniel dog since he was a kid, and cats as well. We both loved growing up with pets and are enjoying getting to know and taking care of dogs together. I have had a cat for 16 years (she lives in Istanbul), and now I am in the phase where I feel ready to have a dog! Growing up we fostered a golden-labrador puppy for 3-4 months and it was one of my favorite experiences ever. As a training doctor it has been hard to find time to have my own dog, so I decided to start out filling this wish by doing Rover. It makes me very happy to take care of dogs, have them over at home and cuddle them as much as they let me. I will take your dog on walks, runs if they are feeling up for it, play around in the grass yard outside our apartment. And will send you many photo updates throughout the day! I enjoy spending time outside, going on hikes or sitting in the sunshine, or sometimes just cuddling watching TV or reading a book. I’m comfortable with dogs of different sizes and personalities. I try to follow each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible so they feel comfortable while their owner is away. Your pet will always be treated with kindness, patience, and lots of affection while they’re with me. I speak Turkish, and a little bit of Spanish. Lived in Oaxaca, Mexico as part of a medical rotation in November and also got to enjoy their love for dogs :)

Yagmur and her partner took excellent care of my special needs dog. The steps up to their apartment were a bit challenging for him, but they managed him beautifully. I am so appreciative of the care that provided to him.

While visiting the Bay Area, we were lucky to find Yagmur. Montague had fun daycare visits with Yagmur for a few days. She kept us up-to-date during his stays with her, sending photos regularly and providing other updates on his other activities. We got a bit late picking him up one evening, Yagmur was the most accommodating about it. We highly recommend her for your dogs daycare or boarding needs. It was absolutely lovely for us and we would use Yagmur’s services again.
I’m so thankful that Yagmur took care of my puppy. She was kind, communicative, attuned to my puppy’s schedule, and patient. My puppy came home relaxed, tired and calm, which is amazing for an energetic 8 month old. My puppy was so well cared for. Thank you, Yagmur!
Yagmur is awesome. She was so communicative and told me how my boy was doing throughout his stay. He is going for an overnight next week.

Schedule
My routine changes depending on my rotations, some days I have more time and can be home earlier. Usually I am more available on the weekends, but my partner is a graduate student and has a more flexible schedule so usually he is home even if I am not available, and would love to take care of your dog if he is available.

Safety, trust & environment
I live in a calm, clean home on the third floor with my fiancee. We have a nice balcony and access to two nice big yards full of grass great for walks or runs. There are two rooms in our apartment and happy to have your pet in all parts of the house except our bedroom.
A typical day
We will play fetch, explore Albany bulb and the area nearby. I will send you photo updates from the beach and the parks. I can also let them run freely in the fenced yard outside my apartment. I am very flexible to whatever you would like.
