About: Lifelong animal lover and shelter volunteer! I have cared for cats and dogs of all kinds but have spent a lot of time specifically with senior animals that need medications and special care. I also have experience with reactive dogs as I have owned one in the past and understand how much work and patience that takes! I will align with your pet's needs and care for them like they're my own! -- My parents got me and my sister a dog when I was only 12 years old. His name was Cookie and he was a Shih Tzu and Lhasa Apso mix. Cookie lived to be 18 years old! He only passed away a few years ago and lived a very long and happy life but with his old age, he developed dementia and other ailments that required medications and ointments. I learned so much from having a senior dog and after he passed, I wanted to continue spending time with senior animals and hopefully give them a little more love and happy moments in their last few years. That's how I ended up volunteering at Muttville, a senior dog rescue in San Francisco. My role was to take these grandma and grandpa dogs for walks, give them cuddles and help keep their space clean. As an adult I've had 2 additional dogs-- a Boxer/Pit mix (Muggs) and a Staffy/Shepard mix (Riker). Muggs was an angel and barely needed any training but my second dog, Riker, came with a lot of trauma and reactivity. I did a ton of research to learn how to handle all the anxiety and stress that this poor dog was experiencing. A plastic bag moving in the wind would set him off! After years of training and exposure therapy and anxiety medication, Riker has calmed quite a bit and I'm very proud of the work we did together! Unfortunately, my bigger dogs have also passed. I wish big dogs had the same life expectancy as smaller dogs. Recently, I found out about a housesitting site that would allow me to travel while housesitting for families with pets. I work as a recruiter in tech which gives me a ton of flexibility to work from anywhere. I have housesat for several homes now all over the US and I'm excited to continue my housesitting adventures through Rover as I navigate a career change. My schedule is wide open for your pets! I'm usually an early riser so for any housesitting opportunities, I can match your pet's feeding and walking schedule. I'm used to having a pet so my schedule is very much dictated by the animals I'm watching. I can be flexible so please reach out and I'm happy to accommodate! I have experience with all sorts of animal behaviors. I've had dogs who like to eat rocks, dogs who think everyone and everything is an enemy, dogs who need eye drops every few hours, cats who refuse to leave my lap, and cats who need days to adjust to your presence. I'll align myself to whatever the animal needs in order to feel cared for and safe. I'll also likely ask a lot of questions to understand your pet's needs beforehand.

About: My partner Travis and I truly enjoy caring for animals and homes. We have experience with many types of pets including Labradors, Cockapoos, Bichon Frise, Pit Bulls, mixed-breed dogs, cats, and birds. We also travel with our own cat Sophie, so we understand how important patience, routine, and love are when caring for pets. We enjoy walking dogs, playing with them, feeding them, keeping their routines consistent, and making sure they feel safe and comfortable while their owners are away. We also respect and care for each home as if it were our own. In addition to pets, we also have experience caring for houseplants, making sure they are watered and healthy. We make sure pets are supervised, fed properly, exercised, and kept in a calm and safe environment. When staying in a client’s home, we respect the space, keep everything clean and secure, and treat the home as if it were our own. We are also happy to send regular updates and photos so owners feel reassured that their pets are safe, happy, and well cared for.

About: Whether high-energy pups or senior dogs needing a softer touch, I’ve built strong bonds with dogs of all ages, temperaments, and needs. I’m often the sitter called when a dog needs extra presence, patience, or someone who just “gets” them. I grew up always having dogs, and they are some of the best emotional support a person can ever get, and I think they deserve the same! Many dog parents have told me their pets don’t usually take to strangers — or men — but often within an hour, we’re friends. As long as their person is there in approval! I don’t rush connection. I listen, I observe, and I let each dog feel safe and that they have their space until they trust me to lead and care for them. Recent Dog house-sits have included: • A 1.5-year-old German Shepherd–Husky mix with boundless energy and some behavioral challenges who doesn't get along with his housemate, • A 15-year-old Border Collie–Akita senior companion with mobility needs. She has such a sweet heart, and she just needed to have her space protected, and they were able to start walking regularly together with me! • A 17-year-old Chihuahua-Chow mix with memory loss and low vision who is afraid of most people. It took him 2 months to bond with his "dad!" With support from his "mom," we were buddies within 30 min, and they are repeat clients! • A 17-year-old Beagle who doesn't like to be touched by anyone — but gave plenty of kisses and playfulness once she trusted me From long walks to short sniff sessions, playtime to quiet companionship, I adjust to each dog’s energy and needs. I treat your dog the way I’d want someone to treat mine — with genuine care, attunement, and respect for their space. My schedule & flexibility: I am pet sitting for my program and work remotely most days for Creative Generations, my pre-professional ballet dancer mentorship and wellness program! So I'm home and available for pet care, walks, and companionship throughout the day. Saturdays (and occasional Sundays): I coach some dancers and may be away for 4–5 hours. Once or twice a week (often Fridays): I help out at a friend's calm, quiet local shop. If you want, I've occasionally brought smaller, well-behaved dogs with me when appropriate—always with permission and only if the dog is comfortable! 🏡 How I Care for Pets in Their Home I treat every home I stay in with the same care, respect, and calm energy that I would my own. I know how important it is that your pet feels safe and secure in their space, especially while you’re away. I always begin with a calm, gentle introduction — usually a 20-minute visit — to make sure your pet feels at ease with me before I arrive for the sit. I pay close attention to their body language and routines, so the transition is smooth and stress-free. During my stay, I keep things peaceful, tidy, and consistent. I respect house rules and your pet’s routines — meal times, walks, play, downtime — so they feel supported, not disrupted.

St that point I gave her to a person that would take care of her as I would. Since that time I have adopted cats as I lived in homes that did not allow dogs . I had to get my dog time in caring for friends and neighbors dogs whenever I could I’m currently working but have a flexible schedule. About: Husband and wife team here to help with your pets. We both grew up with pets, and currently have two dogs, a tortoise, and a fish tank. Who are we? Chandlor, UO class of 2025, UC Berkeley class of 2028. Chandlor is also the Race, Equality & LGBTQIA+ reporter for Richmond Confidential, and an freelance journalist for other publications. Originally from the DC metro area. Alison, Dartmouth class of 2014, accountant at UO, part time musician, farm girl at heart. Two for the price of one!
