“Our first visit with Amber was great and we will definitely rebook in the future. Amber is very responsive and reliable--we appreciated the many photos of our cats and the timely updates.”

“Our cat is very shy and cat sitters barely see him when doing check-ins. Somehow Rebecca gained his trust on the second day and he was comfortable being approached and pet. It made us feel better being away knowing that our cat wasn’t hiding the whole time we were gone. I’d definitely reach out to Rebecca again in the future.”

“Sheryl took care of our two cats for a week over Christmas and she did a great job! We felt comfortable leaving our cats in her care and came home to happy and healthy kitties. She followed all instructions and took excellent care of them.”

“Francesca truly went above and beyond for our cats! They warmed up so quickly to her, even our very shy/timid cat. She took the time to get to know them and made them feel comfortable during our vacation. We were at ease knowing they were in the best hands! We would absolutely want Francesa to watch our kitties again! Her knowledge of cat behavior is an added bonus!”

About: I’ve taken care of many dogs and cats over the years. I love spending time with animals and provide careful and loving attention to them all. I’m an avid hiker and trail runner so I love being outside with active animals. I am currently working part time and my work schedule is flexible! I’m around weekends and early mornings. I make sure to fit pet care in with my other responsibilities. I make sure to carefully follow instructions left by the pet owner and always ask questions if I have them and send regular updates about the pet.

“Vivian was wonderful with Honey. They knew just what to do and gave me great tips to help with her issues of separation anxiety and crate training. They took a walk during the 3 hrs I worked and I never heard any barking as I had in the past. I really appreciated that they made themselves available at late notice and the thoughtful care they used in dealing with Honey.”

“Maria came through for us and took care of Raylan when we needed. She even adjusted her schedule to fit some changes we needed and was easy to communicate with. We loved all the pictures and reports she provided. We will definitely book her again.”

About: Hi I’m Aurelia! I’m dedicated to sharing in the joy, fun, cuddles, walking, and love of all the dogs and cats I can find (and who find me)! Growing up with dogs and cats at home, I have always loved being around animals. My two dogs have been a German Shepherd mix (Bela) and a miniature poodle (Linzee) so I have lived with and know how to care for large and small dogs! I grew up with two cats, Slate and Pippin. I currently have my own kitty, Thomas.💕 I love dog walking, and I always make sure there is lots of play. Your dog and/or cat will be lovingly cared for and have a super fun time! I look forward to meeting you and your pet :) 🐶 🐈 🩷 *NOTE: I am only available to do overnight stays for no more than one week at a time. Thank you! I’m currently between jobs (most recently worked for Kaiser Permanente) so I have lots of time to dedicate to your dog or cat, and house-sit if needed! I take house and pet instructions to heart, and make sure I have everything I need to be able to give the best care possible.
“Keiki is an excellent pet sitter and a wonderful person, I'm so happy I found her! She is very professional and kind, I could tell she really cared about our cats and was very detailed in asking questions about their needs. And she sent really cute photos of them :) I trust her 100%, thank you Keiki!”

“What a great cat sitter! Phuong’s updates and photos showed a relaxed and happy kitty, and my cat was peaceful and not stressed when I returned home. Randomly, a stray dog showed up in my backyard and after checking in with me that I didn’t know the dog and it was ok to share my address, Phuong called the number on the dog’s collar and waited for the owner to pick the dog up. She’s a truly caring animal lover!”

About: Hi, I'm Trevor! I'm a dependable and attentive pet sitter who understands that pets are family. Whether it's dog walks, cat care, drop-in visits, feeding, playtime, litter box maintenance, medication schedules, or overnight stays, I focus on making sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and well cared for while you're away. I'm comfortable caring for both dogs and cats with different personalities, energy levels, and routines. I pride myself on being patient, communicative, and reliable, and I provide regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind while you're away. Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine because I have a flexible schedule and enjoy staying active. I'm available for walks, drop-in visits, feeding, playtime, and overnight care throughout the week, including evenings and weekends. I make it a priority to follow each pet's routine closely and provide consistent, reliable care while keeping owners updated with messages and photos. I prioritize safety, trust, and consistency when caring for pets. In a client's home, I follow all care instructions closely, including feeding schedules, walks, medications, and household rules. I make sure pets have fresh water, plenty of attention, and a safe environment while their owners are away. I keep owners updated with regular messages and photos so they always know how their pet is doing. My goal is to make pets feel comfortable, maintain their normal routine, and provide dependable care that gives owners peace of mind.
“Sandrine took good care of our large floof babies (Saint Bernards) Belle, who is usually very people shy took to her faster than expected and we were able to enjoy our short 4 day vacation without having any worries of what was going on with our babies back home.”

About: Throughout my life, I have never gone a year without living with a dog. I've learned that our canine friends are more patient and forgiving than many people I have run into, and I've learned how to show that same compassion towards them. Spend the time and you can form an unforgettable relationship! I am an Environmental Science graduate living in El Cerrito near the BART, so I can get around the city fairly quickly! If you are living in a more complex area or farther away, no problem! I have my Prius C to carry me there. I make sure my cats are fulfilled, get their nutrients and hydration, get playtime, feel safe, get some environmental stimulation in some way, and more. If you have an extensive instructions/rule list, good! The more detailed the instructions, the better!
About: I am a college student athlete looking to pick up dog sitting & walking gigs. I have experience taking care of various animals on a ranch. However, I currently love and cherish my dogs and geckos. I am energetic & attentive so I want to provide an interactive experience. It is important for pets to be mentally engaged throughout the day. I am willing to perform other services such as transportation upon request. I am empathetically connected to animals, staying attuned to what they need. I am passionate about fashion, cooking, exercise and spiritual practices. I genuinely believe all living things deserve to be treated with equal respect. I am available intermittently throughout the week. I fit in dog sitting gigs with my college schedule. I enjoy getting outside with the dogs and going on adventures! When I am in a clients home, I am respectful of the space that I am occupying, while still providing fully immersive care for your pet. I will keep a line of excellent communication open, and I will do my best to retain cleanliness. I am active, so I will want to take the dogs for walks and runs in the neighborhood/park often. While the dogs are hosted in my home they will be treated like family!

About: I’ve spent my entire life caring for dogs, starting with my childhood pets and continuing with my own as an adult. My passion for animal care led me to work at my local animal shelter, where I gained hands-on experience supporting dogs of all ages and temperaments. I have extensive experience working with everything from young puppies to adult dogs with behavioral challenges, and I take pride in providing compassionate, thoughtful care that helps each dog feel safe, happy, and understood. I currently have open availability and can easily accommodate pet care opportunities into my schedule. I’m an early riser—typically up by 6 AM—and ready to start the day, making me flexible and reliable for morning routines and other time-sensitive needs. I have a secure, fenced-in yard that dogs will have access to during their stay. I never leave them unattended and enjoy spending time outdoors with them to ensure they feel safe and engaged. Each day includes 2–3 walks, and I always care for your pets as if they were my own—providing them with love, attention, and a structured routine.
“Ana has been fantastic with dropping in on our shy cat when we've been away. Great communication and really appreciate her flexibility with last minute bookings when we were delayed getting home.”

About: Whether high-energy pups or senior dogs needing a softer touch, I’ve built strong bonds with dogs of all ages, temperaments, and needs. I’m often the sitter called when a dog needs extra presence, patience, or someone who just “gets” them. I grew up always having dogs, and they are some of the best emotional support a person can ever get, and I think they deserve the same! Many dog parents have told me their pets don’t usually take to strangers — or men — but often within an hour, we’re friends. As long as their person is there in approval! I don’t rush connection. I listen, I observe, and I let each dog feel safe and that they have their space until they trust me to lead and care for them. Recent Dog house-sits have included: • A 1.5-year-old German Shepherd–Husky mix with boundless energy and some behavioral challenges who doesn't get along with his housemate, • A 15-year-old Border Collie–Akita senior companion with mobility needs. She has such a sweet heart, and she just needed to have her space protected, and they were able to start walking regularly together with me! • A 17-year-old Chihuahua-Chow mix with memory loss and low vision who is afraid of most people. It took him 2 months to bond with his "dad!" With support from his "mom," we were buddies within 30 min, and they are repeat clients! • A 17-year-old Beagle who doesn't like to be touched by anyone — but gave plenty of kisses and playfulness once she trusted me From long walks to short sniff sessions, playtime to quiet companionship, I adjust to each dog’s energy and needs. I treat your dog the way I’d want someone to treat mine — with genuine care, attunement, and respect for their space. My schedule & flexibility: I am pet sitting for my program and work remotely most days for Creative Generations, my pre-professional ballet dancer mentorship and wellness program! So I'm home and available for pet care, walks, and companionship throughout the day. Saturdays (and occasional Sundays): I coach some dancers and may be away for 4–5 hours. Once or twice a week (often Fridays): I help out at a friend's calm, quiet local shop. If you want, I've occasionally brought smaller, well-behaved dogs with me when appropriate—always with permission and only if the dog is comfortable! 🏡 How I Care for Pets in Their Home I treat every home I stay in with the same care, respect, and calm energy that I would my own. I know how important it is that your pet feels safe and secure in their space, especially while you’re away. I always begin with a calm, gentle introduction — usually a 20-minute visit — to make sure your pet feels at ease with me before I arrive for the sit. I pay close attention to their body language and routines, so the transition is smooth and stress-free. During my stay, I keep things peaceful, tidy, and consistent. I respect house rules and your pet’s routines — meal times, walks, play, downtime — so they feel supported, not disrupted.
Kensington cat parents share their Rover experiences
Amber has been a loving care giver to my sweet cat, Noodle. It is so nice to know he is being well cared for while I’m away. I also appreciate her flexibility. This last trip I had to stay a few extra days and she made it easy for me to make that decision knowing Noodle was in good hands.

Laurena has watched our pets a couple of times now and we're so happy to have found her. We didn't have to worry a bit about our kitties while we were away. We received updates and photos regularly and the house was in great condition when we got back. Thanks again Laurena!

I had a wonderful experience with Amelia, who took care of my cat for three weeks! She is incredibly attentive and patient. When she first arrived, my cat was very scared and hid away. However, Amelia didn't rush things at all. With her gentle approach and great patience, my cat slowly warmed up to her, and they eventually started interacting and playing together. Having her around for three weeks gave me total peace of mind, knowing my shy cat was in such loving and reliable hands. I am so glad I found Amelia on Rover, and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for an exceptional long-term or short-term pet sitter! Thank you so much Amelia ❤️

Tammy is a truly awesome cat sitter who goes the extra mile to take care of our cats. Her updates are always detailed with great pictures (talented photographer!) and she clearly takes time to know and understand the cats and their unique personalities. Tammy helped a lot with our Litter Robot breaking down as well. Feel very much at ease going on vacation thanks to Tammy.

Before Beatrice, I wouldn’t even dare imagine a cat-sitter so responsible and caring, and I feel so grateful that I found Beatrice! She is super friendly and kind, and very attentive to details during her visits for my cats. It’s very obvious that Beatrice truly prioritizes the needs of my cat babies, and she makes real efforts to ensure that both of my cats can have a great time. I strooooongly recommend anyone who needs a cat-sitter to consider Beatrice, and she’s simply the best ❤️

Natalie was a great cat sitter for my 16 year old hairless cat. She was thoughtful, reliable, punctual, and followed instructions perfectly. The photos of him licking his chops or emerging from his blankets were so cute! Thank you so much Natalie! I plan to call you again.
