“Maria came through for us and took care of Raylan when we needed. She even adjusted her schedule to fit some changes we needed and was easy to communicate with. We loved all the pictures and reports she provided. We will definitely book her again.”

About: I work for a professional dog service that's been open 10+ years with a private dog park. I'm looking for extra work other then working at the dog park. I also do two dog pack walks after the park with the dogs that cannot go to the due to a variety of issues including aggression and/or anxiety. Whenever there is an issue I am the go to for these dogs who love me with all their heart and I in return. Currently work from 9am-2:30pm Monday through Thursday and Friday 9am-12pm as a dog handler so I am available for afternoon/evenings. I am also free on the weekends. I have a three bedroom house with a large backyard with tall wooden fences and a chain link fence to access it. Two bedrooms are unoccupied so I have plenty of space available and also live near point Isabel.

About: Hi! My name is Vivi and I love dogs. (Actually, I love all animals!) I grew up with family dogs and adopted my own last year (she's a complete sweetie). I also have a cat, a bearded dragon, and fish. I worked in a local dog daycare and hotel for over three years and loved it! Now that I'm in a graduate program, I couldn't keep up the hours but missed the dogs. My favorite part of that job was walking the dogs and now I'd love to walk your dog. I really enjoy connecting with each dog, getting to know their personalities, taking care of them, and giving them the attention, stimulation, and fun that comes from being together and enjoying the day. I am currently working on my clinical hours for my degree and am busy Monday and Wednesday after noons 1-5pm and Thursdays at the same time and at 7am-10am every other week. Any other time is all good for me! When I take care of a pet, I care for them in any ways that they might need. I have had experiences with reactive dogs, dogs with specific medical needs, young dogs who are practicing training still, and senior dogs. I want to do what is most comfortable for the dog and am super happy to accommodate for any needs that they have when caring for them! I have experience reading and reacting to cat and dog body language and know when my presence is invited by them and when they might need more space. It's important to look for the animals consent and comfort when working with and taking care of them so they can remain as happy and stress free as possible!
“Mable loved Alix. She's responsible, communicative and reliable. Did I mention punctuality and the check in photos of Mable having more fun with her than me? Sigh. Will definitively book Alix again.”

“Alexandra went well above and beyond what we asked her to do for our cat, as well as our fish tank and tortoise. She cleaned, took out trash, washed pet bowls, and more. She was thorough, organized, and very patient with our anxious kitty. A genuine animal lover.”

From volunteering at local animal sanctuaries and pup events to working as a professional dog sitter, my love for these furry friends has only grown over the years. I truly believe that dogs are more than just pets; they're members of the family. That's why I'm committed to providing the best possible care for each and every dog that comes my way. So if you're looking for a reliable, experienced dog sitter who will treat your pup like their own, look no further! I can't wait to meet you and your furry friend soon. Pet care is an essential part of my daily routine. I am dedicated to ensuring that my furbabies and furbaby guests receive the best possible care while in my care. This includes providing regular exercise, feeding on schedule, administering any necessary medication, training and giving lots of love and attention. In addition to my daily routine, I also have a weekly schedule that includes regular grooming, cleaning of living spaces, and any other necessary tasks to keep my fur babies and fur guests happy and healthy. Overall, my commitment to providing high-quality pet care is an integral part of my daily and weekly routine, and I take this responsibility very seriously. I ensure that my home is clean, safe, and comfortable for my pets. This includes a clean backyard for them to run, a living room with a rug for them to wrestle, multiple beds, and soft blankets in the bedroom for them to rest and sleep. I established a regular routine for feeding, exercise, and playtime. With lots of toys and access to filtered water. I provide regular opportunities for the pet to go outside in my backyard to get some sun, play, run, and take potty breaks. I keep the pet's living space clean and free from hazards. During playtime, I am present, for tug of war or fetch. Throughout the day I monitor the pet's behavior and health closely, trying to understand their needs.

I have raised a few batches of kittens. I will treat your pet as if they were my own. My counterpart and dog, Milkshake, is a great host and adapts well to the personality and boundaries of visiting pups. He is also great at bringing out visiting dogs' playful sides, and your pup will likely return home having been expelled all of their zoomies. I understand how important our pets are to all of us, one thing I love to do while caring for someones pet is to send them multiple photos/videos per day to show what their fur baby is getting up to. I live in a 6 bedroom home in North Berkeley, an established grouphouse with 4 other folks in their late 20s. We have a peaceful, fun and stress free home. My housemates are great with animals and provide additional attention, pets and socialization (2 work from home, 2 work out of the home).
“Keiki is an excellent pet sitter and a wonderful person, I'm so happy I found her! She is very professional and kind, I could tell she really cared about our cats and was very detailed in asking questions about their needs. And she sent really cute photos of them :) I trust her 100%, thank you Keiki!”

“This is my second time having Amber care for my kitties while away and once again she took such great care of my fur babies! I will definitely be using her again. Thank you Amber!”

“Wonderful to work with! Professional, responsive, and thorough. She was able to accommodate a last minute request from first time bookers (wife and myself) and helped us navigate the process. We had some complicated instructions for keys, and our cats and such and Phuong was patient and helpful throughout. We would absolutely work with her again!”

Growing up with dogs and cats at home, I have always loved being around animals. My two dogs have been a German Shepherd mix (Bela) and a miniature poodle (Linzee) so I have lived with and know how to care for large and small dogs! I grew up with two cats, Slate and Pippin. I currently have my own kitty, Thomas. I love dog walking, and I always make sure there is lots of play. Your dog and/or cat will be lovingly cared for and have a super fun time! I look forward to meeting you and your pet :) 🐶 🐈 🩷 *NOTE: I am only available to do overnight stays for no more than one week at a time. Thank you! I’m currently between jobs (most recently worked for Kaiser Permanente) so I have lots of time to dedicate to your dog or cat, and house-sit if needed! I take house and pet instructions to heart, and make sure I have everything I need to be able to give the best care possible.
“Emily is an amazing pet caregiver! We were out of town for a week and Emily took care of our dear cat who is not the friendliest to strangers. The multiple photos and videos Emily sent every day gave us great peace of mind. Would highly recommend Emily!”

“Our cat is very shy and cat sitters barely see him when doing check-ins. Somehow Rebecca gained his trust on the second day and he was comfortable being approached and pet. It made us feel better being away knowing that our cat wasn’t hiding the whole time we were gone. I’d definitely reach out to Rebecca again in the future.”

Kyla was professional, courteous, dependable, and took excellent care of my cat,Baxter. She provided a great sense of comfort and peace of mind for me to leave my cat under her care for five days. Twice a day, I received pictures showing me that Baxter was being well cared for. All my directions for his care, including medication, meals, litter box and treats were followed to the letter. For future care of my pet, there would be no hesitation on my part to entrust Baxter‘s care with Kyla. Thank you💕

Kari was wonderful. Our cat can be particular about people and she warmed up to Kari very quickly, since she was being attended to so well. I love how she talked to Kibs, payed attention to her litterbox and eating habits and did all the extra little things to keep her routine in place. I'm confident our cat had a nice time on our trip. All the rover cards were very detailed.

Ana is the best; she is a true professional. We have hired her twice now: once for house/animal sitting and once for cat care drop ins. Her communication is prompt and clear. She is a pleasure to work with and is our first call when we need pet-sitting. Thanks!
V was absolutely wonderful. They took excellent care of our diabetic kitty, who has multiple daily medications to take. They were very detail oriented, always on time, and regular with updates. Unexpectedly, we received some very large packages while we were out, and V kindly moved those into the house for us!!

Sandrine has provided care for my elderly, diabetic cat a number of times, and every time she does a wonderful job. My cat is happy, and my house is in perfect condition. I'm so grateful for her, she makes trips possible for me, despite my cat's care needs. Thank you, Sandrine!
Kylie was a great catsitter. She was communicative and attentive the whole time, followed all my instructions, and set clear expectations upfront. Really respectful of my space too. When my cat had a throwing-up incident, she handled it calmly, cleaned it all up, and was even mindful about which towel she used. Reliable, thoughtful, and easy to work with. I would absolutely book her again and hope she is available for another trip I’m taking in two weeks.

My second time booking John for drop in visits with my 2 cats. Really appreciate his great communication and thoroughness. He showed a lot of care and patience with my cats, even though they're extremely skittish and spent most of the time hiding. Definitely recommend John for any of your pet care needs!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
