Ran a neighborhood dog-walking & pet-sitting business (dogs, cats, birds, small mammals) for years as a teenager and have continued to offer those services to friends & neighbors in my adult years. I also have experience working in animal shelters with anxious or traumatized animals, with administering medications or following special routines, with reactivity & obedience training, etc.

I like to get a sense of what forms of communication the pets are familiar with and what boundaries are they expected to maintain, in addition to the basic instructions around feeding, walking, playtime, etc. This information always leads to the best experience for the pets.

Crystal was again, wonderful with my cat. She is so level headed, reliable, and caring. The challenge this time was an ant invasion around the cat food. Crystal cleaned up the mess (voluntarily), innovated a very effective way to keep them away from the feeder that involved water—no poison. I also appreciate that she went to the store and picked up additional food when there was not enough. She took great photos on each visit, which made it clear that he was in excellent hands. Everything perfect when we got home. Crystal’s capable care made this part of being away from home stress free.
They were great! We loved receiving the humorous daily updates about our kitty and we felt comforted knowing our kitty was well taken care of.
I had a wonderful experience with Crystal. She is a true professional—knows the right questions to ask from the beginning and executes her responsibilities flawlessly. The daily notes and photos show that she gives your pets the love and care that you would give them if you were not traveling. For me, the bittersweet part of going on vacation is leaving my pets behind. Now that I have had a positive experience with Crystal, I will feel 100% comfortable and book with her again.

Schedule
I work from home on a very flexible schedule, meaning I can get your dog out & moving early in the morning or feed your finicky cat late in the evening.
