About: Small or large, reactive or secure, your dog will feel at home with me. For the last 10+ years I have been pet sitting and walking my neighbor's pets and this summer I'd like to expand my reach to the rest of the East Bay. I have experience administering medication, cooking food for pets, and making dogs feel at ease in my presence. In the last year or so I have picked up some dog training, and I would be happy to incorporate some of this training into my walks with your pup. Summer 2026 will be an extremely flexible time for me to pick up pet walking/sitting gigs. I have a dog of my own that will join dog walks only if my client is okay with it. I have a fenced yard and a housemate who works from home and loves dogs as well. I make sure my dog gets plenty of time outside and some movement throughout her day.
“Yu provided excellent care for our cats. She played with them and sent us update throughout the week. She also left everything in our home tidy. Thank you so much for your help. Will definitely rebook.”

“Patricia was great with my two cats! Even though it was her first visit, both of my indoor kitties came out and greeted her. My senior cat, Juliet, who only likes me and my daughter, actually came out to say hi to Patricia! She truly is a cat person and will take good care of your fur babies. I’m sure I will be booking her again!”

About: I grew up surrounded by dogs and cats since birth and have spent my whole life building a deep understanding of animal behavior and care. Growing up, my family raised two litters of puppies, giving me hands-on experience with everything from newborn care to socialization and training throughout various life stages. I currently share my home with three dogs of my own and regularly care for friends' cats and dogs, both in my home and theirs. I'm comfortable with dogs of all sizes, from small lap dogs to large breeds, and know that each comes with its own personality, energy level, and needs. People tell me I'm not just a dog person but also someone dogs are drawn to. Cats have been a constant in my life just as long as dogs have. I know how to read their cues, respect their space, and earn their trust on their own terms. I genuinely love every stage of a pet's life and know how to meet each animal where they are, whether that's an energetic puppy, a curious cat, or a laid-back senior. I’ve worked in human crisis intervention for over 6 years, which means I stay calm under pressure and know how to respond quickly and clearly when something unexpected happens. That same steady, caring approach is what I bring to every pet I look after. I do Rover to supplement my nonprofit career, so when I take on your pet it's because I genuinely want to be here, not because I have to be. Your pet won't just be cared for, they'll feel right at home! I work from home on a flexible schedule that I set myself, which means I'm present with your pet throughout the day rather than leaving them alone for long stretches. We have a fenced yard for outdoor time and can separate pets as needed, so your animal has a safe, comfortable space even with my own dogs in the home. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priority. I treat every pet like they're my own. My home is pet-proofed with a fenced yard, and I can separate animals as needed so everyone has their own safe space alongside my own dogs. I always want to know your pet's routine, quirks, and preferences ahead of time so I can keep things as normal and comfortable as possible for them. With a lifetime of experience with dogs and cats of all ages and sizes, I'm confident handling whatever comes up, and my crisis intervention background means I stay calm and act fast if an emergency arises.
“I’ve never used a cat sitter before and am so glad to have come across Victoria on Rover. Being out of town for several weeks, I felt completely at ease with my old lady cat in Victoria’s care. She’s timely, dependable, and quick to respond. I will definitely keep using her as my go-to sitter in the future!”

“I have rebooked Michael multiple times to take care of my cats, because I always know they are in great hands. Our first time booking, Michael suggested leaving out a bowl of water next to our electric fountain in case of power outage, which I had never considered, but showed me that he was truly thinking about the best care for my cats. Thanks for always taking the best care of my cats, Michael!”

“Mariana was WONDERFUL- so communicative, had very thorough and thoughtful questions when I gave her the run-through of my cat’s routine, and had no trouble following specific instructions for feedings due to some recent digestive issues my cat has had. Her care put my mind at ease during a nearly two-week trip abroad. Would book again :)”

About: I've had pets since I was a child, first a hamster, then a rat, house finches, more rats, cats, dogs, a tortoise.... When I take care of other people's pets I've been responsible for medications, training and even administering fluids with a bag and needle (I am a California state licensed phlebotomist). I've also fostered puppies, kittens and pregnant cats until they found their forever homes. I've recently moved back to the Bay Area, (as of September 2022). My beautiful Scottish terrier Gadget has passed away and I have lots of love to give your pets. Furthermore, I do not have pets of my own, as I have rehomed my African Sulcata tortoise Donatello and he's doing wonderfully in Washington state. I'm able to give your animals my full attention. I love traveling around the Bay Area and it is a pleasure to come to your home and housesit while you are away. My main priority during my stay is to spend a lot of time with your pets while keeping your home safe and clean.

“Cyndi was such a big help when my husband and I got a new puppy. She came over twice a week for two weeks to help us give him lunch and provide some snuggles and play time. Cyndi does a great job of updating you with photos and a summary of the time she spent with our pets. She also provides a lot of great information and feedback if you have questions about a veterinarian or food products/toys. Overall, she did a lovely job and we will definitely be using her for future puppy needs?”

About: I’ve been around dogs my whole life and have had three of my own, which has helped me understand their different personalities, routines, and needs. I regularly take care of my cousin’s Husky and Shih Tzu when she’s busy, making sure they’re fed, exercised, and comfortable. I also care for my boyfriend’s cat at my home whenever he’s away, including feeding, cleaning the litter box, and giving lots of attention. In addition, I’ve been feeding a stray cat in my neighborhood and even set up a small outdoor shelter for her to keep her safe and warm. Caring for animals has always come naturally to me, and I truly enjoy making sure they feel loved and cared for. 🐾 I have classes only on Tuesdays and Thursdays, so I’m free the rest of the week to hang out with furry friends and give them lots of love and attention. I'm available for in-home visits on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays,s and Saturdays all day. I'm also available for walks on those same days. I make sure pets feel safe and comfortable in my home or theirs. I keep their space clean, provide fresh food and water, and give plenty of attention and affection. I follow any instructions from the owner carefully, and I create a calm, secure environment so pets feel happy and relaxed while in my care.
“Carrie was our first experience with Rover. It was obvious, when meeting our cat for the first time, that Carrie made a special connection with our cat. She paid attention to the instructions we left for her to follow, and helped us feel confident in our selection, especially with daily photos and postings of our cat. We are totally pleased with Carrie and the wonderful care she provided for Ms Mimi. Mimi and her parents look forward to the opportunity to using her services in the future.”
About: I appreciate the love and energy that dogs bring into one’s life! I had five dogs at a young age, and I grew up with one dog for 10 years. Although I don’t have professional training, I tend to care for pets as if they were my own! I am currently working full-time Monday through Friday, so my availability starts after 4:30pm. My weekend availabilities are more flexible. I am always open to ideas and feedback! I always go by what you (the owner) prefers when it comes to pet care. When at home, I make sure the pet is in a visible area, and I make sure there aren’t any hazards that are easily reached by the pet. If the dog requires specific attention, I will make sure to provide the needed attention. I also make sure to send owners picture updates! :)
“Gabby was very responsive and willing to book with us on short notice to start building a relationship with our skiddish dog, Juniper. Juniper had no experience with having a dog walker or sitter before and so we knew it was going to be a trial and error process and Gabby was very helpful in reporting back to us how Juniper did during her visit. Thanks, Gabby!”

This was a long hall being separated from Edger for a month. Te' did a great job. So many litter box refreshes, many cans to open and serve and dental treats to dispense. All done expertly. I go home earlier than expected but no reason to adjust any payout. My place was as good as I found it and Edger actually met me at the door late in the night of my return. Thanks to Te' my month out of California ended peacefully and calmly.

Rong is fantastic! She’s taken care of my kitty a couple of times now and always does a great job. She’s been super accommodating to last minute schedule changes, and is always kind and thorough. My cat loves her and I feel so much better leaving knowing Rong is watching her!

Sophia was a very respectful, responsible, and caring provider toward the needs of all of my indoor and outdoor cats. She provided us with excellent updates and pictures after every visit. I felt very confident and at ease while on vacation with Sophia as our sitter. Her services were 5 star plus.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
