Pet care experience

Waiting to meet my new best friend!

Hello, I am Te’Arie (you can call me Tea). I have spent the last 8 years working hands on with dogs and cats professionally at a non-profit animal rescue in Richmond. During that time, I've cared for pets of all ages and needs, from playful puppies & kittens to seniors to special need pets, even dogs and cats with behavioral challenges. I share my home with my dogs, Nova Reign, Roux & Yeti, who are my pride and joy and I will care for your pet with he same love and respect. I have also expanded to cat care within the past 5 years and have had a great time learning about their unique personalities. Because I am in currently in school, I have plenty of flexibility to give your pet the time and attention they deserve. Whether it's long walks or hikes, playtime in my fenced yard, or simply relaxing inside, your pet will always be safe, loved and never left unattended. I can also provide crating or safe separation if that's what your pup needs. I can't wait to meet your furry family member and make sure they feel right at home!

This was a long hall being separated from Edger for a month. Te' did a great job. So many litter box refreshes, many cans to open and serve and dental treats to dispense. All done expertly. I go home earlier than expected but no reason to adjust any payout. My place was as good as I found it and Edger actually met me at the door late in the night of my return. Thanks to Te' my month out of California ended peacefully and calmly.

Tea and Nova were so great with my boy, Mako! She was so patient with getting to know Mako and making sure that I was confident that the two pups would get along. She definitely has lots of training experience which was great because Mako can be reactive. Plus Tea sent lots of pictures! I'll definitely have Tea watch Mako again ❤️

My dog (sage) had an amazing time with Te’Arie. Sage can be reactive to bikes and Te’Aire was fabulous to ensure she got exercise but stayed safe. Te’Arie was extremely responsive and sent a lot of pictures while I was traveling, so I could see how Sage was doing. She used to work at the recuse I adopted Sage from and you can definitely see her years of experience with all types of dogs. I would highly recommend her for both boarding and daily walks as she’s helped walk Sage during the day as well!

The booking started off OK with communication and meet and greet but was a complete disaster after my dog's boarding started. My dog came back totally filthy after just a 4 day boarding and had an OPEN SORE/WOUND on his leg. Communication was totally sparse to non-existent and zero pictures. I don't think there was any attention to his care and when I picked him up he seemed absolutely desperate to get out of there (which never happens he's usually has the friendliest, sweetest demeanor and is super chill) so I don't think the environment/location for the boarding was adequate for him at all. I do not think this boarder is adequate at all especially given they charge among the highest prices in the area. I definitely do not recommend this boarding service.

Tea is amazing with our reactive pup Hank! Hank takes time to warm up to new folks and Tea was up for the challenge. She is super patient and her dog shelter experience really shines through. We did a few meet and greets with Tea and her pup Nova, and she let us know what to expect and how she would act to go at Hank’s pace in terms of getting comfortable with her. After three weekly meet and greets, we scheduled a drop in in preparation for a longer overnight stay, and Hank greeted Tea with excitement! She gave us updates throughout the visit and sent us a pic! We feel confident that Hank will be comfortable and in good hands for our upcoming trip! Thank you so much Tea!

Schedule

Pet care is naturally part of my daily routine because my own dogs, Nova, Roux & Yeti need regular exercise, play, and attention. That means your pup will join in on the same walks, outdoor time, and enrichment my dogs enjoy. I build my schedule around the pets in my care, making sure they get plenty of activity, companionship and love every single day.

Safety, trust & environment

I care for pets in my home and in my client's homes with the same love and attention I give my own pups. In my home, pets enjoy a safe, fenced yard for play and exercise, two friendly companion dogs, and plenty of supervised freedom (with crates or separation available if needed). Pets are never left unattended, and I make sure their environment is secure, comfortable and tailored to their needs. For walks, I prioritize safety, only using secure leashes, watching for triggers and keeping a steady pace that matches your dog's energy. For cat drop-ins, I provide not only feeding and litter care, but also play, affection, and companionship so your cat feels comfortable and cared for while you're away! Whether in my home or yours, I treat every pet like family, making sure they're happy, safe and well loved.
