“Sofia is a great sitter! She was able to watch our cat for a long weekend trip with less than a week notice, for which we are very grateful! She goes the extra mile even though our kitty isn’t very social. She even left us peaches from her family’s orchard!”

“Our dog & cat were in the best hands with Michael! He was so attentive and thorough, and the communication was great — it really eased our minds when we were away traveling. Can’t wait to work with Michael again some day!!”

“Cyndi was such a big help when my husband and I got a new puppy. She came over twice a week for two weeks to help us give him lunch and provide some snuggles and play time. Cyndi does a great job of updating you with photos and a summary of the time she spent with our pets. She also provides a lot of great information and feedback if you have questions about a veterinarian or food products/toys. Overall, she did a lovely job and we will definitely be using her for future puppy needs?”

“Melissa is a great cat sitter. She clearly cares a lot about animals and has an intuitive sense of caring for them. She rolled with the punches taking care of my indoor/outdoor cat, which comes with some quirks. She was always on time; and always very communicative. I’d feel great leaving her in charge of friendly again!”

About: I volunteer at a dog shelter which has improved my skills in dog walking and understanding dog behavior. I have been taking care of dogs for neighbors, friends and family since I was 12. I walk dogs daily, prepare meals, play with them, and give medication, if needed. Hi. My name is Yesica. I just finished my first year at university, so I am currently on summer vacation. My schedule is open and flexible so I have plenty of time to walk and play with your pets throughout the week. I am also available for housing on weekends and holidays. I care for pets by following their normal routines as closely as possible so they feel comfortable, stress-free and safe. In my house in particular I have a doggy door that I can open and close to make potty breaks and play time outside easily accessible. In both my house and a client’s home, I make sure to keep the environment clean and secure for the animals. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect the owner’s instructions, and I provide updates with photos and messages so owners feel reassured while they’re away.
“Yasmin was wonderful. Caring and loving of Besitos. I know Besitos felt safe and loved because our skittish Siamese cozied right up to her. I’m definitely going to ask Yasmin every time we go out of town.”

About: I have cared for pets my entire life. My family had dogs and I owned a horse that I cared for and paid for since I was 13 until I left home for college. St that point I gave her to a person that would take care of her as I would. Since that time I have adopted cats as I lived in homes that did not allow dogs . I had to get my dog time in caring for friends and neighbors dogs whenever I could I’m currently working but have a flexible schedule. Caring for or playing with your pet will be my pleasure and your gift to me. I love all dogs and cats but will admit I miss having a dog of my own I can care for any cat in my home. I would prefer to sit for dogs in their own environment. I will care for your friends with just as much love and attention as you yourself would
About: Two for one! My partner and I take an active role in your pet's overall wellness. We like to think we can be there for your loved fur-one when you need to go out of town or simply need a small break from your day-to-day routines. We are a family of fur-lovers and have a couple of years experience caring for dogs of all sizes and special needs. We are big fans of the outdoors and see your pet as our motivation to get up and move! But, we also are huge couch potatoes and will spoil your dog rotten at home with endless amount of snuggles and treats (all depending on your dogs overall needs). I work from home while my partner tends to have a more spontaneous schedule (entrepreneur life) - so we are very accommodating to majority schedules, week days and weekends. We usually keep dogs on the leash at all times unless owner specific requests not too. Once we’ve established a good relationship with them, we’ll usually take them to the dog park at let them have a bit of fun.
About: I have hands-on experience caring for animals through work at various animal shelters, where I helped care for them. I’m comfortable handling pets of different temperaments, including large dogs, and I have some experience recognizing basic health concerns and administering medication as needed. Pet care is seamlessly woven into my daily routine with a flexible schedule, ensuring pets receive the attention and love they deserve every single day. In both my home and my clients' homes, I prioritize safety, trust, and a comfortable environment for pets. With careful attention to detail, I ensure that surroundings are pet-proofed, hazards are minimized, and any specific needs or preferences are addressed. Whether it's maintaining a clean living space, providing enriching activities, or adhering to medication schedules, I go above and beyond to create a secure and nurturing environment where pets can thrive.
“Priscilla was attentive and communicative! She helped provide care for my kitties and my rabbit pretty last minute and I felt very comfortable after our meet and greet. She did not hesitate to reach out with any questions so she could provide the best care and sent plenty of photo updates. After her first few drop ins she clearly had a good system down! My pets were happy and healthy when I got home after a few days so I know they had a great time with her.”

“I cannot say enough good things about Angelina. She absolutely went above and beyond for my kitties when my partner and I went out of country for two weeks. She enthusiastically agreed to also watch over our plants and fish and did so beautifully - even when one of the tanks sprung a pipe (fixable but scary I’m sure!) she remained calm and communicative and made sure to stay until all was fixed and calm in the house again. She took amazing care of our cats, sent photos every day, kept us updated, and clearly kept our kitties happy, played with, and fed well!!! 15/10. I will definitely be booking her again next time we go out of town - best experience with a sitter we’ve ever had.”

“I chose Rebecca to look after my new 6-month old three-legged kitten. Based upon her profile and our meet & greet, I felt I could count on her to take good care of my precious little guy. Rebecca is an excellent communicator and detail oriented. My kitty was happy and well cared for when I returned. I will be reaching out to Rebecca next time I have to leave my little guy at home.”

“Carrie was our first experience with Rover. It was obvious, when meeting our cat for the first time, that Carrie made a special connection with our cat. She paid attention to the instructions we left for her to follow, and helped us feel confident in our selection, especially with daily photos and postings of our cat. We are totally pleased with Carrie and the wonderful care she provided for Ms Mimi. Mimi and her parents look forward to the opportunity to using her services in the future.”

Amber was absolutely wonderful! Our three kitties (ages 13, 12, and 8) have never spent a night alone in their lives, so leaving them was a big deal for us. Amber took incredible care of them, feeding them, playing with them, sending regular photos and updates, cleaning up after them, and making sure our middle child kitty received his twice-daily insulin and daily medication. She even handled an unexpected sink leak without missing a beat. Amber is dependable, trustworthy, thoughtful, and clearly loves animals. Knowing our kitties were in such caring hands gave us tremendous peace of mind while we were away. We would happily recommend her to anyone looking for an exceptional pet sitter!
Deborah is a wonderful pet caretaker. Our cat was recently diagnosed with diabetes and has to take oral medication every day and even though we have only been doing this regime for a week she was willing to jump in and help for the holiday weekend. She clearly loves animals and communicated while about how he was doing. We definitely recommend her and will use her again when we are out of town!

Michael did a great job caring for our shy and nervous kitty while we were away for a week. He did a great job reading the situation and used good judgment on how best to handle her when I was offline and unable to communicate with him. It was so reassuring to learn that after a few days she started making progress and came out to socialize with him!

Rae was terrific and treated our cats like her own. Our two kitties have sensitive stomachs and require very particular feedings, but Rae took it all in stride. She was friendly, approachable, arrived promptly, went above and beyond that ensure the kitties were well fed and well taken care of. It was great knowing they were in good hands while we were away. Thanks!
Laurena has watched our pets a couple of times now and we're so happy to have found her. We didn't have to worry a bit about our kitties while we were away. We received updates and photos regularly and the house was in great condition when we got back. Thanks again Laurena!

This was a long hall being separated from Edger for a month. Te' did a great job. So many litter box refreshes, many cans to open and serve and dental treats to dispense. All done expertly. I go home earlier than expected but no reason to adjust any payout. My place was as good as I found it and Edger actually met me at the door late in the night of my return. Thanks to Te' my month out of California ended peacefully and calmly.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
