What I can offer you is longevity, consistency, communication and enthusiasm. I have years of experience taking care of cats, my own and others. I have roots in my community and no plans to relocate, so you’re unlikely to be searching for a reliable sitter after a time or two because I’ve left the Berkeley area. My extended family is also mostly local, so I’m around during holidays when others might be traveling. Also, I’m at a place in my life where I have the time and flexibility to prioritize care for your kitty(s)! Communication is important to me and I do a lot of it, so you will not be left wondering how things are going at home while you are traveling (unless you opt out of receiving messages and photos). Finally, caring for your kitties is not ‘just a job’ for me…they truly bring me joy, and I love looking after them!

We love Bea! She went above and beyond to keep our kitty entertained and happy while we were away for the week. She brought over new toys, helped our kitty explore new parts of the house, etc. She’s a gem!
Back home cats seem in good shape. Thank you very much! Sorry about all the packages-- one reason we were traveling this week is for a baby shower so lots of stuff is coming for that.
I had a wonderful experience with Beatrice. She took care of my two cats for 10 days while I was out of the country, and I felt completely comfortable knowing they were in her care. She was reliable and punctual, kept everything clean and tidy, and also took care of my plants while I was away. Most importantly, it was clear that she genuinely cared about our cats and made an effort to spend quality time playing and interacting with them rather than simply taking care of the basics. It gave me a lot of peace of mind while traveling. I would absolutely book her again and highly recommend her!
Beatrice is the best. She has been helping us with my two cats when we are not around. She spends a lot of time with my cats and my cats love her. She sends good photos and always communicate in time and responses very fast. Thanks again!

Schedule
I am semi-retired, which gives me flexibility. That said, drop-in visits work best with my lifestyle, whether you prefer I come once or twice per day. If you have only one cat, your cat isn’t very social, or you’d like me to come twice a day, 30-minute visits may be sufficient. If you have multiple cats, one who needs more company/play/special care, are outside my usual service area, or would like me to water plants or the like, an hour might be more realistic. (There’s a discounted rate for one-hour visits.)
- CatsBeatrice can host up to 5 drop-ins per day
- Please let me know whether your cat has special health or dietary needs or if they have habits, preferences or hiding places you think I should be aware of. It’s also helpful to leave me their vet contact info and the location of their cat carrier…just in case. Thanks!
