“Wenxin took wonderful care of Moscow! She kept us updated with plenty of photos and videos, and it was clear that Moscow received lots of attention and outdoor time. If we ever need a sitter again, we wouldn’t hesitate to book with her!”

“Kelly was wonderful with my pup Mochi, and easy to communicate with. I just got Mochi (a rescue) a couple of weeks ago so I was nervous about leaving him for the day but Kelly was very reassuring and Mochi had a great time!”

“Really lovely family and will choose them again when we come back! They took such good care of our baby and send lots of pictures and videos throughout the day. You could tell our dog really liked his time there. Thank you!!”

“Lucas and his pack are disarming, kind, professional and understanding, which were crucial for my mini dachshund. She is a rescue pup with a history of fear aggression from no socialization for the first 2 years of her life. Recently and suddenly, she lost her brother and 24 companion. Long story short: Lucas and his pack took her in with their calm presence and gave her lots of space. Lucas is very organized, pragmatic, flexible, quick to reply and he speaks “dog”. Thank you Lucas!”

About: For boarding, my house as a large yard for any dog to run around in. For walking, I likely spoil any dog with treats if allowed Currently as I look for new job opportunities, I am available most days to look after your dog. I have a fairly flexible with my schedule and able to pick up and drop-off if nearby. I have a 45lb german shephard that is calm when indoors. If weather is nice then I will let the dogs run around in a fenced in yard. I would like to introduce them just to be safe, but my dog is friendly with all dogs.
About: ▍About Me ☺️ Hi, I’m Miumie — a gentle, detail-oriented pet caregiver with extensive experience in cat care. I’ve been involved in cat rescue and fostering for years, and I currently live with my under-one-year-old kitten, Bobo. I often travel with him, which has given me a deep understanding of how cats adapt to new environments. I’m highly attentive to animals’ emotional states, behavioral patterns, and physical conditions, and I provide care that is calm, patient, and respectful of boundaries. I’m also continuously learning about feline communication and animal social behavior. ⸻ ▍🏠 Home & Environment I live in a pet-friendly 1b1b apartment (~900 sq ft) that is clean, quiet, and thoughtfully set up for your pet: • A brand-new, dedicated litter box • Petlibro automatic feeder & water fountain • Multiple areas for free exploration (cats are allowed on the bed, dogs are welcome on furniture) • All furniture and decor are secured, with no small objects that could be swallowed • All household products are pet-safe and non-toxic • Access to a dog yard within the apartment complex I maintain daily cleaning, environmental upkeep, and close observation to ensure your pet stays in a safe, stable, and comfortable space. ⸻ ▍My Experience 📈 • Experience with cats of all ages, from kittens to seniors • Assisted with kitten deliveries and round-the-clock newborn care • Previously rescued and fostered stray cats in Chongqing, all successfully rehomed • Participated in a rescue case involving an illegal and abusive cattery in the U.S. I don’t just take care of animals — I truly enjoy living with them and understanding them. ⸻ ▍Boarding Process ① Adjustment Period 🐱 For every new cat, I provide at least one full day of a gentle adjustment period: • A separate, quiet space • Gradual exposure to new smells and surroundings • Careful observation of mood and appetite After that, I introduce them to my cat Bobo gradually, ensuring a safe and low-stress social experience. ⸻ 🐕 For dogs, strict isolation is usually not necessary. However, I still provide a short observation period and adjust the pace, especially for dogs who are sensitive to new environments or have limited social experience. I always tailor my approach to each individual pet, rather than following a fixed routine, so they can adapt at their own pace, with comfort and respect. ⸻ ② Live Monitoring ✨ I offer optional live camera access (Rola), so you can check on your pet anytime during their stay, especially during the adjustment period. ⸻ ③ Daily Updates Every evening, you’ll receive a daily summary including: • Feeding details • Litter / bathroom updates • Behavior & emotional observations • Photos and/or videos I’m also responsive throughout the day and may share spontaneous cute moments 💛 ⸻ ④ After-Stay Keepsakes 💖 After their stay, your pet may receive: • A handmade postcard • Polaroid photos • (More custom creations coming soon…) ⸻ ⑤ Pre-Boarding Communication • Before booking: I provide a detailed boarding guide • One day before arrival: I confirm all care details (diet, habits, special notes) This ensures a smooth and stress-free experience for both you and your pet. ⸻ ▍Daily Care • Pets are not left alone for extended periods (I’ll inform you if needed) • Daily interaction and companionship are guaranteed • Interaction style is adjusted based on personality • I minimize unnecessary stimulation and environmental stress ⸻ ▍Best Fit 🔍 I currently prefer pets who are: ✔ Emotionally stable ✔ Have good behavioral habits ⸻ ▍Medication & Special Needs 💊 If your pet has: • Medication needs • Special dietary requirements • Behavioral concerns Please let me know in advance. I’ll assess each case carefully and adjust care plans (and pricing) accordingly. ⸻ ▍My Promise 💗 I care deeply about: • Your pet’s safety • Emotional well-being • A calm and comfortable environment I hope to offer not just boarding — but a second home where your pet feels truly safe and cared for. I am available almost all day until June and can provide frequent updates on your cat’s daily condition and well-being. More details about my experience and home setup can be found in the details section. At the moment, I prefer boarding stays of three days or longer, as this allows cats to settle in comfortably and reduces stress. If your cat requires any medication or special care, please let me know in advance. I kindly ask for some basic information about your cat, including personality, preferences, daily routines, and companionship needs. If you have a busy schedule, at minimum please share any medication requirements (if applicable) and important care notes, so I can ensure consistent and safe care. I provide a calm, clean, and cat-focused home environment. Also provide out silted travel options if need. I live in a pet-friendly apartment that is fully set up for cats, including multiple litter boxes, feeders, water fountains, and dedicated resting areas. I carefully manage hygiene, feeding routines, and daily observation to ensure each cat’s safety and comfort. Cats are never left unattended for long periods, and I avoid unnecessary environmental stress. I value clear and consistent communication. I provide regular updates, including photos and notes on your cat’s condition, behavior, and mood. If anything unusual arises, I will reach out immediately. Your cat’s physical safety and emotional well-being are always my top priorities.
“We were worried about leaving our new puppy for the first time, but Alisha set up a Zoom so we could meet her the day before and it was immediately obvious that she would take great care of our little guy. Then, when we dropped him off, he practically jumped into her arms and made himself at home in the space she has set up which is perfect for doggy guests. She sent us updates and pics throughout the evening. We are very glad to have Alisha nearby for the future. I especially appreciate her depth of knowledge -- she is a great resource for those of us who have limited experience with raising puppies!”

“My dog had a wonderful time! Bonnie was incredibly accommodating and caring, and did a great job with a working breed — they had lovely walks and plenty of playtime together. I loved getting pictures and videos throughout the day, such a nice touch. She also sent updates on eating and snacking. Highly recommend for daycare!”

About: Hi! We are Angelina and Xavior & we are here to be your fur baby’s new favorite sitter! We joined Rover in 2018 & have met so many amazing fur babies & pet parents! I (Angelina) have been taking care of different animals since I was about 9 years old, however as of 5 years ago I’ve started to work with pets in a more professional setting. I started at a doggie daycare, until moved to a training & boarding kennel. The owner also did have a dog rescue as well. There I worked with one of the best dog trainers in Northern Virginia for almost 2 years & learned a lot not only about dog training but also working with rescue pups & how it sometimes can be a bit different! After that I worked at an SPCA location with rescue pups & kitties! We relocated to Atlanta for a while where we continued to do Rover & I also worked at another doggie daycare/kennel/rescue hybrid! Aside from this I do also have a dog training certification as well as a grooming certification. We both have experience with a variety of animals including but not limited to dogs, cats, cows, goats, horses, reptiles, birds, rodents, etc. We hope this gives you a bit more Insight on us both & we can’t wait to hear from you! I recently made the decision to work on rover full-time as I love being able to provide at-home care for your fur babies that cannot board in a kennel-like-environment. Pet care will always fit in perfectly to my routine! We will always follow your pet’s typical routine unless otherwise requested. We know how stressful it can be for both the pet & pet parent, which is why your baby is always our top priority. Whether it is a drop-in, quick walk, or month long stay we make sure to give your baby lots of love while their you are away! We have a dog who is quite the social butterfly! If your baby also loves to make friends she would be a great addition to keeping us company!
“Hope is a wonderful dog sitter. She follow all my instruction to take care my dog. She even sent me photos to see hows she’s doing. She even took her a long walk. She got along with my dog”

About: For as long as I can remember, I’ve had a natural connection with dogs. Whether meeting a new pup or caring for a familiar one, I build trust quickly and genuinely enjoy making dogs feel safe, comfortable, and loved. Over the years, I’ve become the go-to sitter for family and friends, caring for dogs of all sizes, temperaments, and energy levels from playful puppies to sweet seniors. I have a hybrid job and go into the office in San Francisco three times a week. My husband is recently retired and generally at home. We are available for boarding, walking, drop-in day care and sitting at someone's house when our schedule permits. Our home is a cozy one-bedroom condo in Marina Bay, Richmond, just steps from the beautiful Bayside Trail which is an ideal spot for dog walks, fresh air, and playtime. We also have a small balcony that’s perfect for a little sunbathing between outings. We take our dog out every few hours for potty breaks, neighborhood visits, and regular walks, and we’re lucky to live in a very dog-friendly community. It’s a welcoming environment where pups get plenty of attention, exercise, and social time.
“Julieth is so attentive and caring. She accepted a very last minute care but accommodated a call and a meet & greet in a very short time. They took such good care of Chiisai with lots of photos for just the one day visit. Chiisai has a new family now.”

The median cost per day for doggy day care in El Cerrito is $56

My dog had a wonderful time! Bonnie was incredibly accommodating and caring, and did a great job with a working breed — they had lovely walks and plenty of playtime together. Christiano is great with our dog. He is such a nice guy and you can tell he really cares about animals. We feel comfortable leaving our boy with him and know he's in good hands. It's really nice to have someone we can rely on when we need a dog sitter. He even was able to take our dog last minute/day of when we needed someone. Our dog also has some specific needs and Christiano is always accommodating. Definitely recommend him and his team!

My former Rover professional recently retired and I had to find a replacement. I was so, so glad I found this pair to watch my treasured Kyle. I have been interacting with Lucas. He is always prompt in meeting me when I drop off Kyle and when I pick him up. During our Meet and Greet Lucas showed me his home and doggie-perfect back yard. I was impressed. He also spent some time with me introducing me to the six other dogs that were there. The meeting was informative and a good chance for the two of us to see how Kyle fit in. Lucas is a true professional. He couldn't be better.

While visiting the Bay Area, we were lucky to find Yagmur. Montague had fun daycare visits with Yagmur for a few days. She kept us up-to-date during his stays with her, sending photos regularly and providing other updates on his other activities. We got a bit late picking him up one evening, Yagmur was the most accommodating about it. We highly recommend her for your dogs daycare or boarding needs. It was absolutely lovely for us and we would use Yagmur’s services again.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your El Cerrito commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
