“Luna is one of the best sitters Shanti has ever been left with. I was a bit nervous about leaving her behind as this was my first time since she started her medication. But I could tell at the meet and greet that Luna is a reliable and detail-oriented sitter, which is crucial to my senior dog who needs to take meds and go out for frequent potty breaks. I also liked her senior dog friendly house with no stairs and easy access to a gorgeous backyard. I knew Shanti would be in good hands while I was away, but Luna went above and beyond the call of duty; carried my dog out under the umbrella a few times on a cold rainy day while she was reluctant to go out to pee. And she sent daily updates (e.g., Shanti ate all her food this morning, slept almost all day today, etc) along with lots of fun and happy photos, from snuggling under the blanket, walking in the park, sunbathing in the backyard, to playing/chilling with her lovely dog, Pepito. He’s such a sweet and mellow boy Shanti got along with. She looked so content and relaxed in every single photo, which was a huge relief to me. I highly recommend Luna and would ask her to look after Shanti again in a heartbeat!”

About: I've had pets most of my life. When I was born, my mom had three Cocker Spaniels. Over the years, I have had several large breed dogs and one small dog. I enjoy spending time hiking and training my own dog and others. Over the last several years, I have been helping my son with his pet care business, so I have had a lot of experience boarding pets. I am a retired teacher, so I am home most of the time. I do run some errands during the day or am out walking dogs. Most of our guest dogs stay in the living room where we spend most of our time. I have a fenced yard, a Standard Poodle that is very used to having guest dogs in my home, and three cats that live upstairs.

She did careful and thoughtful introductions with her doggies, took Bolo on walks, fed him, and made sure he was comfortable and happy. She also sent frequent updates and photos, so I could relax knowing my little guy was doing alright. Her house is perfect for dogs - she has multiple gates to separate dogs as needed and a big yard for the pups to play. She also lives on a quiet street, so there are not cars zooming by.”

About: I've had pets most of my life. When I was born, my mom had three Cocker Spaniels. Over the years, I have had several large breed dogs and one small dog. I enjoy spending time hiking and training my own dog and others. Over the last several years, I have been helping my son with his pet care business, so I have had a lot of experience boarding pets. I am a retired teacher, so I am home most of the time. I do run some errands during the day or am out walking dogs. Most of our guest dogs stay in the living room where we spend most of our time. I have a fenced yard, a Standard Poodle that is very used to having guest dogs in my home, and three cats that live upstairs.
About: Hi! My name is Vivi and I love dogs. (Actually, I love all animals!) I grew up with family dogs and adopted my own last year (she's a complete sweetie). I also have a cat, a bearded dragon, and fish. I worked in a local dog daycare and hotel for over three years and loved it! Now that I'm in a graduate program, I couldn't keep up the hours but missed the dogs. My favorite part of that job was walking the dogs and now I'd love to walk your dog. I really enjoy connecting with each dog, getting to know their personalities, taking care of them, and giving them the attention, stimulation, and fun that comes from being together and enjoying the day. I am currently working on my clinical hours for my degree and am busy Monday and Wednesday after noons 1-5pm and Thursdays at the same time and at 7am-10am every other week. Any other time is all good for me! When I take care of a pet, I care for them in any ways that they might need. I have had experiences with reactive dogs, dogs with specific medical needs, young dogs who are practicing training still, and senior dogs. I want to do what is most comfortable for the dog and am super happy to accommodate for any needs that they have when caring for them! I have experience reading and reacting to cat and dog body language and know when my presence is invited by them and when they might need more space. It's important to look for the animals consent and comfort when working with and taking care of them so they can remain as happy and stress free as possible!

My workday schedule is very flexible with ample opportunity for several short walks around the neighborhood throughout the day. I live in a 6 bedroom home in North Berkeley, an established grouphouse with 4 other folks in their late 20s. We have a peaceful, fun and stress free home. I have a fenced front hard with enough room for zoomies and easy access for potty breaks. I have a large sunny back deck for dog sunbathing. I also have a working fireplace for warming up the paws during the cold/rainy season. My housemates are great with animals and provide additional attention, pets and socialization (2 work from home, 2 work out of the home).
