About: Since childhood, I have been passionate about the animal world. Our household works from home, so your dog will always be supervised while they're here. Our neighborhood is fantastic for solo walks, and for social & active dogs, we're close to Pt. Isabel, the Albany Bulb, and the little dog park. One thing to note: I have a 10 year old human baby who is a dog (and bug, bird, reptile) lover and member of your care team in our household. About: I grew up with dogs and multiple cats in the household (at one point we had 8 cats!), including dogs of all sizes (mutt, American Eskimo, German Shepherd) as well as 2 snakes, so I've pretty much spent my entire life taking care of animals, walking them, cleaning litter etc. I have been taking care of both dogs and cats on Rover for over a year now, and it has been a pleasure looking after them. For multi-pet households or visits spanning over 4 days, my husband may come along to the meet & greet. He also does pet sitting and has around 5 years of experience with dogs, cats, and turtles, as well as a special knack for figuring out where your fluffy friend likes to be scratched. This way, we can seamlessly support each other in case one of us has an unexpected schedule change, ensuring continuous, top-notch care for your furry family members. I have a flexible work-from-home job, so pet care fits quite easily into my day! I do go out of town from time to time, please check my calendar or message me for the most updated availability. I take my time to establish a relationship with your pet depending on their temperament, particularly if they are shy and/or reactive! It can take a lot of time for a shy cat to open up or a fearful dog to become more comfortable, but I believe experience, patience, and adapting to the pet's needs and preferences is key. I typically don't take boarding requests, but may consider them if your dog would like a playmate and gets along with my German Shepherd. Cats are not recommended.
