“Our 14 month old dog had never been boarded away from home. Mariola took great care of him at her home for a brief 24 hour stay in anticipation of a longer upcoming planned stay. The communication was excellent and our dog enjoyed spending time with Mariola and two other small dogs. We appreciated having our dog boarded nearby with Mariola in Berkeley.”

About: I work for a professional dog service that's been open 10+ years with a private dog park. I'm looking for extra work other then working at the dog park. I also do two dog pack walks after the park with the dogs that cannot go to the due to a variety of issues including aggression and/or anxiety. Whenever there is an issue I am the go to for these dogs who love me with all their heart and I in return. Currently work from 9am-2:30pm Monday through Thursday and Friday 9am-12pm as a dog handler so I am available for afternoon/evenings. I am also free on the weekends. I have a three bedroom house with a large backyard with tall wooden fences and a chain link fence to access it. Two bedrooms are unoccupied so I have plenty of space available and also live near point Isabel.
“Didem and Eren take such good care of our Sparky (3-year old Border Collie). We know that she'll be loved, walked and played with daily. She's a high-energy dog, and it's comforting for us to know she's in a loving home when we're traveling. Didem sent much appreciated updates every few days with photos and videos. Sparky will be staying with Didem again soon!”

“Ruthy took the very best care of my baby boy. She made feel like he was apart of her fur family for the day. She is super flexible, warm, and welcoming. Highly recommend her services for any of the fur babies needs. :-)”

“Our dog loved his stay with Rob. We were sent lots of cute photos of our dog and his dog being best buds. We loved knowing that while we were on vacation, our dog was having the best time going to the dog park and lounging around. Will definitely book again with Rob next year when we take our next vacation ☺️”

“Dylan and his wife took amazing care of my sweet dog, Lulu. They went way, way above and beyond when I was in a bind and she needed extra care. They were thoughtful, responsive, and so kind. I recommend them to everyone I know that needs dog care!!!”

“Anchisa was a wonderful sitter for my dog Felix! He came home healthy and happy, she was super clear in her communication and very responsive and considerate, and sent plenty of photos. It was clear Felix was very comfortable with her and her partner and got lots of love and care from them. They were also very accommodating and conscientious about understanding his needs. I would absolutely ask her to sit for Felix again, thank you for everything!”

“Everything was easy and efficient with Michelle, and she kept us supplied with pix of Ivy's stay. And our mellow pup came home as happy and snuggly as ever, so all was well.”

“Jenny and Dominic were so great to Moose! They were flexible, sent lots of updates, and their dog Riku made the stay a lot of fun for our dog. Highly recommend!”

“We were so happy with the service that jakree. Provide from the first inquiry he was responsive, detailed and provided us with daily updates of how our pup was doing. He has a great location where the dogs can be outside. He will for sure be our go to whenever we need sitting!”

“He said he is not one, but Joshua is a dog whisperer! Daisy loved Joshua and she seems so comfortable with him. Immediately, she felt comfortable and safe when we dropped Daisy off. Joshua was professional and made sure there was a process to drop-off and pick-up. We received daily updates and photos. This was our first Rover experience and we cannot ask for anyone better! We will definitely consider Joshua for future boarding and sitting.”

About: I have only pet-sat for friends doggos and cats in the past. Now that we are in a bigger place with a small yard, I’d love to work with you and your dogs. I will follow your directions and love your doggo right. I have had several Ridgebacks and Dobermans, a greyhound, and a viasla in my life and now love my two small ones - a rat terrier mix and a Pinchiweenie. I work from home and my desk is downstairs right by the back door so the door is open all day for my pets to go out as they please. I live in a quiet neighborhood with sidewalks for nice walkies around my neighborhood which has lots of grassy areas. I have time throughout the day for walks if needed and I make a point to have playtime with balls or toys throughout the day. We live just a few minutes from Oakland Airport in an 2 story townhome with a small (20 ft x 20ft), fully enclosed yard with areas for potties. It has great morning and early afternoon sun and I always have beds outside for sunning. The door is open for them to goes out as they want. We allow our pets in the couch and I office downstairs to keep an eye on the doggos. I have several water bowls around for hydration. I feed my girls a combination of kibble and homemade dog food, so “special meals” are not an issue for me.
“We are so happy we found Zach for Scout while we were out of town for the holidays. He is very kind and took great care of her. She can be quite anxious but she clearly had a comfortable stay. We really appreciated the daily pictures and updates. Hope to book him again in the future. Recommend!”
“Bill took such great care of Mika. He was attentive of her needs throughout her stay and communicated with me every day of her stay! She’s a handful, but he was so patient with her the entire time!”

“We’ve used River several times over 11 years and we’ve always had positive experiences, but this was the best. Josephine was so caring and she sent us reports and photos while we were abroad. When we came back, Rocco was just happy and well adjusted. Thank you!”

“Benjamin and his family were great with my pup, Moose. Upon meeting, I quickly felt like he was going to be well cared for and that his needs would be met for his overnight stay. Everything went as smooth as could be. Thanks again!”

“We felt so comfortable leaving our pup Henna with Maria and Kevan’s family! They did a great job keeping us updated and Henna seemed to have a very fun time there. Thank you so much for taking such good care of her!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Emeryville
Alexandria is amazing! She came highly recommended, and did not disappoint. This was the first time we’ve left our 9 month old puppy with anyone and the experience could not have gone better. Great communication from initial contact through to the time away and our return. We felt very comfortable and confident that we left our girl in great hands. She can back to us happy and ready for a long nap. We wouldn’t hesitate to use Alexandria again.
Stephanie is truly exceptional at her work. She continues to adapt Otis’s stay as he evolves as a pup and reinforces his growth with mini training sessions along with her own dogs. This is an added bonus to already thoughtful and conscientious care. Otis is maturing and his time at Stephanie’s is undoubtedly a huge part of growth. As always we highly recommend her and Sunny!

Bill was responsive, caring, and knowledgeable. I could tell Minnie was well taken care of. I loved that we arranged our dogs to meet ahead of time to ensure they got along, and they did. She had the best time with her new friend. Bill kept me updated with videos of her so I knew she was at ease with him. 100% will return to Bill with my future pet sitting needs.

Taylor and Kevin took great care of our golden, Pemba, over the weekend. She went on many adventures with them—to the park, on walks, even out to eat! Pemba got lots of love, attention, and belly rubs. Taylor is very patient and understanding with Pemba and super communicative. We got lots of updates so we knew exactly what they were up to. Thanks so much for taking wonderful care of Pemba!

Jiaxi did a great job taking care of Laika for a long weekend (3 nights, 4 days). I would have preferred to receive more updates - even if it was just a message/pic a day to let me know things were going well -- so just make sure to communicate those preferences beforehand.

Anchisa and Michael did a fantastic job caring for Willie! From the first communication, I can tell they’re caring dog lovers. They sent me frequent updates with pictures throughout the stay, and made me feel at ease. I can tell how much Willie enjoyed spending time with them, and will definitely use them again!

Sarah was absolutely wonderful! Ewok took to her immediately from the meet and greet. While she took care of Ewok, Sarah sent daily updates and photos. She took wonderful care of Ewok and seemed content when we picked him up. Sarah even printed out a picture of Ewok which was adorable and I can’t wait to frame. So happy that we found Sarah!
