“Marlene was wonderful! She was very responsive, kind, and reliable. We met before, so she could be introduced to and ask questions about Birdy. She has a great home environment, and I definitely felt like my pup was in great hands. I would be more than happy to work with Marlene again (as would Birdy!)”

“Danielle was very communicative and was very attentive to Zag. She sent lots of pics and vids, said she gave him a bath when he got dirty, and took him out for sunshine and playtime. He got along very well with her super sweet pup as well. Danielle also just seemed very sweet and good with dogs!”

“We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter! From the start, Tierra was incredibly considerate of our dog’s routine and needs. We loved getting the daily updates and photos—it really put our minds at ease while we were away. It was clear our dog felt right at home at her place and was treated like family. We’ll definitely be booking with her again!”

“Madeleine was awesome with our two year old American Bully Nala for an overnight. Nala got very comfortable with her and we are now doing an extended four nights with her.”

“Mariola is such a sweetheart. She is great at communicating and our pups look like they had the best time with her. Mariola sent us pics everyday and let us know exactly how our dogs were doing. If we weren’t moving we would have Mariola be our Rover all the time!”

“Thank you so much for taking such good care of our love bug. Great communication. Great updates on his walks, eating habits, nap times, and play times. We love that he gets socialized with other pups. Drop off and pickup was easy and smooth. Highly recommend. Great sitters.”

“Joann was great! She took us on with really late notice, sent updates of our cute sleepy dog, and our pup came home super happy. Would work with Joann again in the future!”

About: I absolutely love all animals! Growing up, my family always had a minimum of two dogs at a time. Since I was young, I have been trusted by friends and family members to watch over not only their pets, but their plants as well. As an adult living alone, I have only ever had 1 cat at a time in my home, however, my plant game has grown to a bit of a jungle! On top of taking care of animals, I also LOVE a clean house and I take it upon myself to always leave people’s homes cleaner than I found them in! I’m currently looking to open my own business doing just that: Pet sitting and deep cleaning while folks are out of town. In my opinion, there is nothing better than coming home from a vacation or a work trip to a clean home and a happy animal! I have been working with Meowtel watching cats for the last year and have found it to be exceptionally rewarding. Recently, my sweet cat passed away and I left my demanding job. Due to these circumstances I have decided that since I have the time and opportunity, opening my home to board would be a great way to expand my offerings. I look forward to meeting this community and giving dog (cat, plant, etc.) owners peace of mind while they travel, get stuck working a double, or just want to support their companion with an extra afternoon walk. I left my extremely demanding job in December after my cat got sick. I wanted to spend as much time with him as possible. Since his passing, I have focused on taking care of pets and cleaning homes. This has brought me more joy than any demanding corporate job, and I hope I can continue to work in this capacity for many years in the future. My schedule is very flexible! I am an animal lover living in an animal free home at this moment. Because of this, I am open to boarding. I am not concerned with animals who want to sit on the couch with me or lay on the bed, but I will follow the rules of what they’re allowed to do at home if you prefer that. My home will be their home, and I will do everything to make sure that they feel safe and cared for while in my hands. I’m an active person and love taking long walks and hikes. So, if that’s something that your dog is into, I am happy to schedule an adventure that meets their mileage needs! On the contrary, if you have a small dog or one who just wants to go out for a stroll around the block or to do their business in the grass, I’m happy to do that too! I have a small unfenced side yard to accommodate. I live on the second floor of an apartment building with no elevator, so if your pup is not able to do stairs and is too heavy to pick up, my home wouldn’t be a good fit.
“Megan and Jenny were fantastic! They communicated multiple updates throughout the day — every day, and multiple times — with photos. They made sure Pancho was well taken care of and enjoyed a variety of activities. They were responsive, attentive, and kind. Drop-off and pick-up were efficient. Highly recommend — we’ll definitely be repeat customers.”

“Felt very comfortable with my pup staying at Latricia's home. She sent so many photos during his stay that I appreciated very much. She is also responsive with messages and kept me updated. Would recommend her as a sitter !”

“Mary did such a fantastic job watching our pup for a week and a half while we were out of the country! Our pup has some specific needs so I was nervous but Mary was so sweet and patient with our pup. The photo updates made it easy to enjoy our vacation. I’d recommend Mary for anyone obsessed with their dogs.”

“Isaac and Jordan were amazing. They sent a good amount of updates and made sure Nemo felt right at home. I look forward to having them watch Nemo again!”

“Truly such a great experience for my dog. Stephanie was so nice and flexible with my schedule. I needed a last min booking and Stephanie truly went above and beyond to help accommodate and give my dog a great time. She exposed my pup to some new activities, like bike riding, which he loved!! It was also my pups birthday when she took care of him and she even gave him a little homemade peanut butter lick mat to celebrate. You won’t regret booking with Stephanie if you’re looking for someone to treat your pup like her own! :)”

“Timothy and his family was absolutely an amazing rover experience. They sent daily updates and made sure he got all the love while I was away. Their dog coco was also so sweet and an amazing companion for Eddy; he loved her! Would recommend and definitely will be booking again!”

About: I’m a full time artist and WFH sitter with over 15 years of experience caring for dogs and cats of all ages including Puppies, seniors, special needs pets, and sensitive personalities. I live a calm and quiet lifestyle with my senior corgi, Mochi, and my sweet, dog friendly cat, Mumu. Because I’m home most of the day, your pet will get steady attention, a peaceful environment, and care that never feels rushed. My dog Mochi is 10 and has had many health issues, including back leg mobility problems. Caring for her has given me strong experience with senior dogs, medication schedules, mobility support, slow routines, anxious pets and even stroller walks. I grew up with many pets, so caring for animals has always been a natural part of my life. I’ve experienced a negligent sitter in the past whose carelessness sent my dog to the hospital. Because of that I take this work extremely seriously. I’m attentive, detail oriented, cautious and I never take shortcuts especially with older or delicate pets. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. Because I’m an artist I’ll sometimes doodle a small portrait of your pet if time allows, just a little gift for you. A little about why I joined Rover: I recently moved into a larger space which has allowed me to comfortably host more pets. I also decided to start pet sitting as a way to help offset the rising costs of my senior dog’s insurance. It’s important to me that I can continue providing the best care for her and Rover lets me do that while offering attentive, reliable care to other pets as well. I WFH so I’m home most of the day. Pet care fits naturally into my routine I already have a senior dog with daily feeding, meds so I’m used to gentle and structured care throughout the day. I take breaks to give pets attention, walks, playtime and lots of calm company. Your pet would be part of my daily rhythm not an afterthought I maintain a calm and supervised home where safety comes first. Pets get slow introductions and secure spaces and constant oversight since I work from home. My corgi is crate-trained and my cat has high-ground access so everyone has their own safe zones. I follow your schedule exactly : feeding, walks, meds, and activities so your pet stays on their normal routine. They’ll have a safe comfortable place to play or nap all day and can sleep with me at night if they'd like to. Diet & Feeding I follow your pet’s exact feeding schedule and portion sizes to keep everything consistent. I always make sure pets stay hydrated, especially in warmer weather. I feed my dog and guest dogs separately to avoid any food guarding or stress during mealtimes. Hygiene & Cleanliness I keep pets clean and comfortable throughout the day : wiping paws if needed, cleaning eye discharge and keeping their space tidy. I’m very detailoriented about maintaining a clean safe environment. Walk Safety All dogs are leashed outdoors at all times. I stay alert around other dogs separate pets immediately if there are signs of stress or tension and prevent ground eating or unsafe sniffing areas. I’m always attentive and I clean up after them every time. Sleeping Arrangements My own dog prefers her own bed and doesn’t sleep with me but your dog is welcome to sleep wherever they feel comfortable whether that’s in their own bed, the crate or in the bed with me for extra comfort. I make sure every pet has a safe cozy sleeping setup.

I can’t wait to use her service again!”

About: I've always been around both dogs and cats and love them both equally. I know cats usually need a little more space to open up to new people. I provide calm and gentle companionship and let them set their boundaries.
“Sandee was great! She was very communicative and interactive with our 2 cats while we were away for the week! We felt confident with Sandee that our cats were in good hands and would definitely recommend her! Thank you!”

About: Choosing a pet sitter can be stressful, but with my background, you can finally relax. I offer more than just walks and playtime—I provide veterinary-level peace of mind. For over 15 years, I worked as a Veterinary Technician, honing my skills at some of the most respected animal hospitals throughout San Francisco. My clinical experience is vast, and I am proficient in everything from medication administration to monitoring post-operative patients. On top of that, I have unique hands-on experience caring for a wide variety of species gained during my time at the San Francisco Zoo. What this means for you: Safety First: I am highly trained to recognize and respond to potential medical issues quickly. Specialized Experience: Need someone comfortable with insulin injections, sub-Q fluids, or complicated medication schedules? I’ve got it covered. All Creatures Welcome: While I adore dogs of all shapes and sizes, my love doesn't stop there. I am highly comfortable and experienced in caring for your pocket pets (rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters) and even snakes and fish. My mission is simple: to provide reliable, compassionate, and expert care so your pets feel secure and happy while you are away. I currently work from home part-time doing administrative work for a leading veterinary company as I transition from in clinic work to pet-care full time. I'm available most of the day to assist with your pet's care. Whether in your home or my home, your pet will be cared for like they're my own. I will give each pet the chance to get to know me, as well to get to know them, so our bond will become as close as it is with you.
“Priscilla was reliable, responsive and went above and beyond checking in on our cat Marge. From the meet and greet, I knew Marge was already comfortable with Priscilla, and I could tell throughout the time we were away that Marge was getting along very well with her. There was playing, socializing, eating and treats for Marge every day. Priscilla even brought her a special treat for Christmas and it really meant alot to me knowing that Marge was being well taken care of. Thank you Priscilla for your amazing and caring check-ins with Marge!”

About: I grew up with cats and have a cat of my own now! I am familiar with cats of all different breeds, ages, and sizes. Additionally, I have experience with cats who have diabetes, need medications, or have vision and or hearing loss.
About: I’ve been raising a very cute black pug for four years. For some reason, I couldn’t bring him with me and I miss him a lot. I really love dogs, so I’d love to do some dog-related work in my free time. I’m happy to let dogs on the sofa or bed, since I always clean them up after walks to make sure both they and the environment stay clean. I’ve spent time with many different dogs, including some that were initially unfriendly. By offering treats, approaching them slowly, and taking the time to get to know them, I was able to build trust. I’m very patient with dogs! From Monday to Friday, I’m usually out for 2–4 hours a day, but I’m home all day on weekends. During my free time, I’m happy to take dogs out to play. 1. Diet: I carefully control meal portions and feeding times, and always make sure dogs stay hydrated—especially in hot weather. After walks, I wait 5–10 minutes before giving them water. 2. Hygiene: I clean eye discharge promptly and keep both the dogs and their environment clean. 3. Exercise: I walk dogs 2–3 times a day. 30min/walk. 4. Playtime: In my free time, I love playing fetch, tug-of-war, or hide-and-seek with them. 5. Companionship: I spend as much time with them as possible. 6. Safety on walks: Dogs are always leashed outside. I stay alert when they interact with other dogs and separate them immediately if there are signs of aggression. I also make sure they don’t eat things off the ground, and I always clean up after them. 7. Sleeping: I used to sleep with my own dog, so if your dog is used to that, they’re welcome to join me too.

“Tia was fabulous! Great communication and paid attention to all of my (perhaps gratuitous at times) instructions. My cat is often shy with folks but seemed to warm up to her almost immediately, which— I think— speaks volumes.”

About: I’ve been caring for cats for years and currently have two cats of my own, Michi and Kiki, whom I’ve raised since they were 8 weeks old. Through caring for them every day, I’ve gained hands-on experience with feeding routines, playtime, grooming, litter box cleaning, and making cats feel comfortable and safe in their environment. I understand that every cat has a different personality, whether they’re energetic and playful or shy and independent, and I always take the time to help them feel relaxed and cared for. I genuinely love spending time with cats and treat every pet as if they were my own.

“Fuliang did a great job. I felt my cat Alba was well cared for. I got a nice detailed report on the last day. Could have used a picture of my cat everyday but otherwise I am a very satisfied customer and will use this sitter again for my pet sitting needs.”

“Joyce is a very responsible pet sitter! My cat is very shy and scared with strangers, and Joyce really took the time to get along with my cat. During the visits, Joyce and my cat became great friends, and she absolutely takes the BEST pictures of my cat. Joyce was also flexible with my change of schedule where we added two more visits. I can tell my cat got great care from her because my cat looks very happy, healthy, and energetic when I returned home. Highly recommend!!”

About: I’ve lived with cats for 8 years consecutively, currently I own one cat named Gigi. I’m really good at understanding that cats take time to get used to someone new as well as that just being in the place and being still helps with them getting comfortable with you being in their home.

“Jes is super easy to communicate with and clearly has a passion for what he does! He was super experienced and thorough, asking clarifying questions and making sure nothing about my cat’s care was missed. Thanks so much, Jes! I’ll be looking forward to booking again in the future.”

About: I grew up in a family that rescued and fostered over 50 animals, which instilled a deep passion for and comfortableness with animal care. In the past 10 years , I have provided short term and long term care for cats ranging in age from 8 weeks to senior. This has included giving oral medication, pills, and post-surgery care. I’m fortunate to also have a strong network of folks with pet care and veterinary expertise who are knowledgeable advisers when I need it. In all situations, I lead with compassion for the animal first :) My work schedule is flexible and largely work-from-home with no location requirement, meaning I am easily able to housesit with a pet on most days. I have my own car so can travel as needed as well. Unfortunately I am unable to provide overnight stays for a pet in my home. However, I am happy to housesit, and can also provide plant care if needed! How I care for your pet in your home is up to your preferences, but when I am able I always try to be home with the pet throughout the day providing play and attention as needed :)

“Latricia was great! My dog can be a bit difficult with new people, but Latricia was patient and understanding. She kept me updated with pictures throughout the day, too, so I had peace of mind.”

“Loved all the photos!! Matthew and Van Joseph were so patient and caring with my nervous gal. It was obvious that Ramona felt comfortable there - she’s been super leash reluctant, but they got her to go on 2 walks during daycare!! Huge success. They were super communicative and great. Can’t wait to bring Ramona back and watch her settle in even more :)”

“My sweet puppy was warmly welcomed by Emily and her 2 daughters. Emily has a dog who got along beautifully with my puppy! When I picked up my pup she was happy to have had such good care. Emily sent me pictures of the two dogs. She communicated well with me both in person and by text. I will most definitely ask her again to watch my pup!”

“Dylan and his family were amazing! Pancho enjoyed spending time with other pups. Something that as an only child he doesn’t get to do very often. Pancho was a bit constipated at the time of drop off and Dylan kept me in the loop and tracked any updates. I also received many photos and even a video of Panchitos adventures.”

“Taylor is fantastic. I was in town for work with my wee guy and she took care of him during the times I couldn't have him with me. Rowlf and Taylor made a fast friends. They played and walked and cuddled, she took tons of pics and kept me up to date about their time together, and really supported me while I was working. I'm so grateful I found her. Taylor is super friendly, thorough, and loving. It can be so hard for all of us to trust the care of our babies to a stranger. You can't go wrong here!”

“Laura came through for my last minute request for a same day dog walker and was wonderful with my senior anxious pup. She clearly understands dog behavior especially those with specific needs around anxiety and fearfulness. It felt great to receive pics of my dog Ollie happy on her walk and get a detailed update from Laura - so reassuring for dog parents of anxious pups!”
About: I've grown up with big dogs and am now a dog and cat mom. Before my dog I boarded friends' dogs with me, watching them while they were away. My big dog is from the shelter and is fearful, so I have experience with shy shelter dogs, training, and managing their triggers. I also walk others' dogs. My schedule is flexible and is different depending on the day of the week. Communication is key , but I will try to make things work. At clients' homes I will follow their instructions and communicate any questions. I make sure the doors are locked when I leave, and try to be careful entering so animals don't potentially run away. Depending on instructions or pet temperaments, I will observe and work with them for enrichment and socialization needs. I make sure there is enough water in the bowls and feed as needed. For cats, I clean the litterboxes. They will not be in my home since I have pets.

“Becca is awesome! Super communicative, and Stella adores her! Two thumbs way up, all the high fives! It’s been wonderful and a major peace of mind having Becca around and knowing my pup is well taken care of :)”

“Oakley has improved SO much since she’s been walking with Zosha. She is incredible and understands dog behaviors/body language. She always knows when Oakley needs a slow walk, long play session, or exciting adventures.”

“Cindy was great from start to finish and I have recommended her to our neighbors. She was very communicative, sending a photo from every walk and coming over before our trip. She was also very responsible about fixing little problems for us. The usual walk we planned took less than 30 minutes and she used the remaining time to do small chores. We would definitely hire her again.”

I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and treat every pet with the same love and attention I give my own. I am currently a master’s student at UC Berkeley. Most days of the week, I end classes at 1pm, so I will be available after that, Sundays and Saturdays the whole day! I have a large apartment for your pup to play in!
About: I provide calm, attentive care with a focus on routine and safety. I understand that every dog is different, and I aim to keep their environment steady and comfortable while you’re away. I enjoy taking dogs on regular walks and occasional hikes, giving them time to explore while keeping things structured and safe. I adjust to each dog’s energy level, whether they prefer an active outing or a more relaxed pace. I’m organized, communicative, and reliable, and I take pride in making pet parents feel comfortable and informed. You can expect clear updates, thoughtful communication, and plenty of photos so you can feel at ease while your dog is in my care.
“Jes is amazing! Takes great care of my pup and is so professional and nice to work with. Jes is also a very talented photographer and sends wonderful pictures of my dog Sassy. Thanks Jes!”

About: I currently live in a home with 2 cats and a dog. I’ve professionally dog walked up to 5 dogs simultaneously, on and off leash, as well as dog/house sitting. Im currently working part time so have plenty of time to take care of pets on my days off! And love going on several walks daily, bonus cardio! I have great attention to detail and am fun with the pets but maintain a high professional demeanor - especially when it comes to respecting others homes.

About: I’ve owned dogs since I was 5 years old. I love pets and currently have two Guinea pigs! I’ve taken care of elder dogs, puppies, dogs with health problems, usually for friends and family. No pet is a bad fit for me :) As a PhD student, I have a lot of flexibility in my schedule. I am available when most aren’t. I can accommodate pet care into my schedule because I have the freedom to choose my hours. I always try my hardest to meet my clients expectations. I check-in with owners to make sure our needs and responsibilities are being met so you can have the peace of mind that your space and pet are well taken care of and respected.

“Alex kept my golden retriever for a week and left me feeling GREAT about the boarding. From the daily pix & videos, it seemed that Alex integrated Mika into her family life completely, even having her at their backyard easter egg hunt! Mika got lots of play time & tons of petting, played with her daughters at the playground across the street, and did her napping right under Alex's feet when she was working. Such a great feeling to know your dog is well cared for when away. Thanks so much Alex!”

“Nasreddine was a reliable and loving caregiver to Ernie! I loved the many photo updates she sent me, and it was clear he was happy and cozy while we were away. I recommend Nasreddine and would definitely work with her again!”

“As a former Rover host myself, I so greatly appreciate Rob for giving such loving and active care to our pooch and for his excellent communication with the humans. He will be the first person we go to any time we leave town and can't take Ozzy.”

“Alexis was great. Very communicative and was able to take care of my dog that had many special needs, many medications to take, and a specific routine needing to follow. I highly recommend booking with Alexis!”

“Once again, Ben and his family too such good care of our dog Hank. Ben and his family treat Hank like he’s one of their own. From the moment we drop him up to when we pick him up we can relax knowing he’s in excellent care. We couldn’t recommend Ben and his family more!”

“Angela did a wonderful job caring for my senior pup! She is kind and attentive and made sure that Elsie had a great stay. I would book with her again when the opportunity presents!”

“Robert was absolutely wonderful with our girl Phoebe on her first overnight! We were a bit apprehensive as Phoebe has separation anxiety but she was happily occupied with multiple walks and so much love! Robert's level of conscientiousness is unmatched and we completely entrust him with Phoebe's health and safety, including keeping her away from other dogs so her reactiveness isn't triggered. We couldn't ask for more!”

“Very responsive and gave me lots of updates about how my dog was doing during his boarding stay. My dog came home happy as can be and looks very well cared for and based on the pictures had an awesome time with Alexis.”

“Anna was as happy and healthy as the day I dropped her off! You guys did a great job with her… I now know at the next time I travel I have the confidence of leaving here in good hands. I bet she misses you guys. We should make a play date scheduled so she can see her new friends! Thank you again”

“Baxter had a great first stay with Kristen and Ryan! He took advantage of various comfy lounging spots in their home as well as sunbathing in their backyard. Baxter was in great shape when I returned. Kristin and Ryan are very friendly and kind, and their communications were clear throughout. I received updates with pictures at least once a day, as requested. I greatly appreciated their flexibility to extend Baxter's stay a bit and coordinate a different pickup arrangement when my trip plans changed. I would certainly book with them again!”

“Fuliang took great care of my old girl, even though it was on very short notice. He was very flexible with drop off and pick up times as well, which was super helpful.”

“Sharon is a dog owner’s dream. Charlie was so happy and comfortable, she looked liked Sharon was her owner, making my own vacation worry free. Lots of good walks and cuddling. We will be back in the future!”
