About: $40 promo code for new Rover bookings. I'm new to Rover, but not new to animal care. I've trained my rescue dog Storm, using positive reinforcement methods, to be my service dog. He has a therapeutic effect on nervous dogs, and has helped socialize many cats to become dog lovers. I've been a part of many dogs training protocols, and am now exploring becoming a trainer myself! Take advantage of my low fees while I build my profile. I keep your little buddies entertained in ways that meet them at their level, whether it's long hikes, lazing in some grass, or playing with toys at home. I'm here to make you and your furry friend feel comfortable. ***Bonus*** you'll get some adorable pet pics whenever they stay in my care! I work from home most days, so I'm available to be a companion to your pet right off the bat! My work breaks are spent playing, training, and giving out treats! We like a house full of enrichment activities, with plenty of time for naps and cuddles in between. I have a 2br apartment that offers plenty of communal or private lounge space. It's been useful for boarding multiple animals, seperating eating as needed, quarantining for medical reasons, or just offering a shy animal their own quiet space. There are steps to my apartment and it's helpful if your dog is comfortable with stairs, or is 15lbs or under and can be carried. I live in a low traffic quiet neighborhood near a lot of parks and pretty outdoor spaces for walks. And there is some great bird and squirrel watching from the balcony doors.

About: I have experience walking two bigger dogs, and cat sitting. The two dogs were blonde Retriever mixs one is a boy and his name is Blue. He is 6 years old and is about 90lbs. The other dogs name is Anika. She is about 70 pounds and is about 3-4 years old. Furthermore, Ive watched an older long haired cat that needed more attention because he needed mesicine and had a strict feeding schedule. During the summer I am available 7 days a week. Hrs after summer will be posted closer to fall/ Early August. Hoping to make/ meet regular clients If im walking dogs I make sure the dog doesnt chase cats, squirrels, or any other small animals. I make sure they are well fed and hydrated after returning from the walk. If the owner instructs me to do anything otherwise I do that as well. For cat sitting/dog sitting, I will do all things needed to ensure the well being of the pet. (administer any needed medication, go on walks, clean up messes, keep pet entertained)

About: I specialize in overnight, in-home pet sitting so your dog can stay relaxed and comfortable in their own space while you’re away. I bring a calm, grounded presence and focus on keeping your pet’s routine consistent—walks, meals, and quiet time—so they feel secure and settled. This is especially helpful for dogs who are anxious, sensitive, older, or simply happiest at home. I stay overnight and provide a steady, reliable presence in your home. I treat your space with care and respect, and I communicate clearly so you always know how your pet is doing. I’m a great fit for: * Dogs who prefer staying at home rather than boarding * Anxious or sensitive dogs * Senior pets or those with established routines * Multi-pet households I currently work from home and have a flexible schedule, which allows me to be present and attentive throughout the day. I’ve lived in California for nearly 20 years and recently spent six years in my native Norway. My background in research has made me detail-oriented, responsible, and thoughtful in how I care for both animals and people’s homes. I’m happy to follow detailed instructions and keep things the way you like them. My goal is simple: you come home to a happy, settled pet and a well-cared-for, clean home. I genuinely enjoy the quiet rhythm of house sitting and the chance to give pets steady, attentive care. I work part time remotely, so I can schedule my time around pet sits and taking care of animals. I can work with weekdays as well as weekends, mornings or evenings. Being in your home I would follow the instructions you give me, whether that’s feeding or walking times. I work from home, and enjoy having pets around. I ensure the pet is feeling safe and tended to, and show care for them (as they may wonder who the stranger is). I am clean and organized, and take care of your home in the way I would care for my own home. I’m also a good communicator and will send you photos of us!

About: Spending time with animals has always been one of my greatest joys. I’ve had pets all my life—cats and my own dog—and even without one in my current apartment, I stay closely connected through a few long-standing clients whose homes and pets I’ve cared for over the past ten years. I’ve said goodbye to some of their longtime companions and now care for the new animals who have joined their families. My Rover availability is limited, and I take on only a small number of additional stays so every animal receives my full attention. love all animals, but dogs hold a special place for me. Their calm, steady presence brings out the best in me—lifting my mood, grounding my energy, and reminding me of what matters. They also make wonderful companions for my active, nature-filled lifestyle. I work for a small biotech startup and also run a life-coaching practice, which gives me a flexible and balanced schedule. I genuinely enjoy staying in new homes and exploring different neighborhoods with a furry companion by my side. During the week, I keep a regular gym routine, and many of my weekends are spent climbing in Yosemite—a reminder of how much I love nature and being outdoors. I maintain an active daily walking routine that your dog will happily join, and together we can explore nearby parks, beaches, and all the beauty the Bay Area has to offer. When I’m home, I’m quiet and content with a good book or cooking a simple meal, and I’m always glad to offer a comfortable lap to any cat who wants it. As a former homeowner and someone who regularly cares for friends’ homes over major holidays, I understand what it takes to look after someone’s space respectfully and responsibly. I’m clean, organized, and communicative, and I treat every home I stay in with the same attention and care I would expect for my own. I’m happy to provide updates as often—or as little—as you prefer. Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine. I split my time between working from home and going into my nearby office for a few hours when needed. I typically take dogs for a morning walk before starting my workday and another in the afternoon. I do go to the gym in the late afternoon for about two hours, so there’s a window when I’m away, but the rest of my schedule is flexible and allows me to be consistently present and attentive with the animals I care for. When I stay in a client’s home, I follow the routine their pet already knows—regular walks, feeding schedules, playtime, and plenty of companionship. I keep the home clean, organized, and treat it with the same care and respect I would want for my own. I provide updates as often as clients prefer, and I make sure pets feel safe, relaxed, and well-attended to throughout the stay.

Riley did an excellent job taking my Siberian Husky out for a walk. He was respectful and communicative through the booking process and punctual the day of the walk. For the walk, he asked thoughtful questions about my dog's care, preferences, and more. She came home happy, connected to him, and most importantly, tired. Thank you, Riely! Sydney followed all of the complicated instructions smoothly and handled my dog with separation anxiety gently in her first visit. She met my dog where she was and applied just the right amount of effort to try and get her out. Hopefully Sydney will be able to walk her again, so that they can get to know each other better and the anxiety will melt away. Thank you, Sydney!

Super responsive and communicative!!! It was our first time having Zorah walk our dog that we just adopted. She was comfortable with the fact that we don’t know the dog that well yet — she was willing to answer all sorts of questions about the dog’s behavior and even problem solve live via text! We spoke on the phone afterwards and she was very honest and clear in her communication. I really trust her to take good care of our new furry family member while we are at work.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
