“Shanley was great with both our dogs and even adjusted her schedule to take them on earlier walks when a heat wave came in the middle of our trip. We so appreciated her flexibility and her concern for our doggos’ well-being!”

“I am very happy to have found Chloe on Rover. She's a super nice person, and my dog, Raffi, is in love with her. She's helped me out for 2 weeks, and she's been on time every day, gives good long walks, and always gives me a heads up when she's on her way. She's also flexible when I had to make some last minute changes in schedule. I highly recommend her for your dog walking needs. MY dog will miss her!”
About: Spending time with animals has always been one of my greatest joys. I’ve had pets all my life—cats and my own dog—and even without one in my current apartment, I stay closely connected through a few long-standing clients whose homes and pets I’ve cared for over the past ten years. I’ve said goodbye to some of their longtime companions and now care for the new animals who have joined their families. My Rover availability is limited, and I take on only a small number of additional stays so every animal receives my full attention. love all animals, but dogs hold a special place for me. Their calm, steady presence brings out the best in me—lifting my mood, grounding my energy, and reminding me of what matters. They also make wonderful companions for my active, nature-filled lifestyle. I work for a small biotech startup and also run a life-coaching practice, which gives me a flexible and balanced schedule. I genuinely enjoy staying in new homes and exploring different neighborhoods with a furry companion by my side. During the week, I keep a regular gym routine, and many of my weekends are spent climbing in Yosemite—a reminder of how much I love nature and being outdoors. I maintain an active daily walking routine that your dog will happily join, and together we can explore nearby parks, beaches, and all the beauty the Bay Area has to offer. When I’m home, I’m quiet and content with a good book or cooking a simple meal, and I’m always glad to offer a comfortable lap to any cat who wants it. As a former homeowner and someone who regularly cares for friends’ homes over major holidays, I understand what it takes to look after someone’s space respectfully and responsibly. I’m clean, organized, and communicative, and I treat every home I stay in with the same attention and care I would expect for my own. I’m happy to provide updates as often—or as little—as you prefer. Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine. I split my time between working from home and going into my nearby office for a few hours when needed. I typically take dogs for a morning walk before starting my workday and another in the afternoon. I do go to the gym in the late afternoon for about two hours, so there’s a window when I’m away, but the rest of my schedule is flexible and allows me to be consistently present and attentive with the animals I care for. When I stay in a client’s home, I follow the routine their pet already knows—regular walks, feeding schedules, playtime, and plenty of companionship. I keep the home clean, organized, and treat it with the same care and respect I would want for my own. I provide updates as often as clients prefer, and I make sure pets feel safe, relaxed, and well-attended to throughout the stay.
“Christine came to the rescue on short notice to walk our foster dog while we were on vacation. She was patient, understanding and offered great care. Love the rover.com app and the report card feature! Christine clearly followed the protocol, gave informative daily feedback and put our concerns about leaving new foster pet at ease. Thanks Christine!”

“Shelly really understands our big girl dog, and is always prompt, follows directions to a T, and sends the cutest photos. This time she dropped by to give our dog her dinner (diet, so kibble with a bunch of veggies) and a walk. Thanks, Shelly!”

“My pup takes a long nap after every date with Adam! He’s calm and friendly - a natural, gentle leader. Adam’s attention and care have helped my timid puppy to gain confidence. Highly recommend!”

About: I care deeply about animals and treat every pet as I would my own. Along with fostering dogs, I share my home with my gentle 5 year-old dog, which has taught me how important patience, kindness, and thoughtful caregiving is. I’m very attentive to routines, emotional cues, and what helps each dog feel secure. I also have experience caring for senior dogs, and I aim to create a calm, loving environment where dogs feel relaxed, understood, and truly secure. I had a dog growing up so I’m extremely comfortable with and around dogs. In fact, I think I communicate with them better than humans :) I'm usually available most days since I work from home. And sometimes on weekends as well. If you’re looking for someone last minute, feel free to ping me and I will try responding within the hour. Looking forward to long playtimes and walks with your pups and dogs! And maybe some basic commands as well, if desired :) PS I could potentially do overnight house sitting as well, but would have to consider it on a case by case basis. Sorry about that! Pet care fits very naturally into my day. I work from home and set my own schedule, so I’m around throughout the day for walks, meals, playtime, cuddles, and check-ins. Pets are never left alone if they are at my place, and I enjoy building my day around their routines so they feel comfortable and cared for. I care for pets in a calm, loving, and closely supervised environment. In my home, dogs have access to a secure yard for safe outdoor time and a sunny deck where they can relax and enjoy fresh air. Pets are never left alone - there’s always companionship, either from me or my friendly 5-year-old resident dog who genuinely enjoys the company of all animals. I’m very thoughtful about safety, routines, and comfort, and I pay close attention to how each pet is feeling throughout the day. My resident dog does have mild separation anxiety and is currently in training, which means I’m especially mindful about creating a steady, reassuring environment and managing transitions gently and responsibly. In your home, I follow all instructions closely and focus on maintaining familiar routines, minimizing stress, and keeping pets safe and comfortable in their own space.
“Natalie did a wonderful job taking care of my dog, Ava! She went above and beyond by doing two walks in one day, making sure Ava got plenty of exercise and attention. I felt totally at ease knowing Ava was in such good hands. Natalie was reliable, communicative, and clearly cared about my pup’s needs. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and kind dog walker—we’ll definitely be booking with her again!”

“Esteban is the best! I was very afraid I would not find anyone to walk Piper as she is strong and slightly dog selective. Also certain dog folks do not want to walk her with a muzzle which is confusing to me, he has no issues with it. Esteban came for a meet and greet and it was a great fit! Piper has come home happy and exhausted! Can’t wait to grow our relationship with him! He’s the best!”

About: I’m a lifelong animal lover who takes caring for your pets (and your home) seriously! Since I’m not able to have animals in my apartment, I love being able to give my full attention and care to yours in the comfort of their own space. I work from home full time, which allows me to provide consistent companionship, maintain walk schedules, and be present during the day — great for puppies, senior pets, or animals who prefer extra company. I’m attentive to routines, comfortable following detailed care instructions, and happy to provide regular updates and photos so you always know how your pet is doing. I also enjoy caring for small animals like hamsters and rats, and I’m comfortable in multi-pet households.
About: Your cats will love me! 😺 ----------------------- Howdy! I have had the great pleasure of loving and taking care of many different pets—horses, reptiles, fish, dogs, and cats. Don’t tell the other species, but I have a special connection with and fondness for felines. (When I was an infant, Isadora the Siamese spooned me while I slept in my cradle. So, I consider myself part kitten.) Cats are my first crush, but sadly, my doggos (senior chihuahuas with attitude) are not cat fans, so I’m seeking out other folks’ kitties to give some affection to. (BTW: My partner volunteers at Oakland Animal Services and fosters unhoused dogs, and most recently, bunnies! -- so, we are an animal rescue family.) I'm versed in pill giving, administering subcutaneous injections (insulin, etc), giving fluids; I also adore all my elder or special needs kittenz. I am highly responsible, reliable, and detail-oriented. I am COVID vaccinated. I provide photo updates, so you can relax and refuel! Another fun fact: Cat Sitting is a full time thing for me; I'm no fly-by-night operation, and I love what I do! I'm available weekdays, weeknights, and weekends. I live near Piedmont Avenue, with easy access to the surrounding neighborhoods. I prefer local, so I can walk, but I do have a vehicle and take my kitty-care most anywhere. From Grand Lake to Piedmont to the Avenue to Temescal and beyond (Rockridge & South Berkeley, I'm looking at you 😺)! Previously, I opened and owned an art framing & gallery space (Panorama, on Grand Avenue); was a commercial photographer; and was a bookseller -- I also currently freelance in the digital realm and pursue art making. If you are traveling for work or for holidays, or need a drop-in when you're not wfh, please reach out! >^•-•^< Any pets who are under my care get the same treatment I would hope for myself—patience, kindness, unconditional love, and acceptance. And, oh yeah, treats. :-)
About: I am the go to “dog auntie” for my friends and family and am always the first to volunteer to care for friends and families pets. I grew up with dogs for my whole life and truly love spending time with them. I have had experience dog sitting, fostering, walking and doing dog check ins with various types of dogs (from puppies to seniors and small(Chihuahua) to big(German Shepard)). I work remote most days and have a flexible schedule throughout the week. I always aim to go on a daily walk or hike in the neighborhood and would love to be able to bring your dog along! I am more than happy to take your pup out for a walk or to do home check ins to feed them, let them out, provide medication etc. I hope to hear from you and to get the chance to meet your pet! I work remote most days and have a flexible schedule throughout the week. I typically aim to walk in the mornings and early afternoon but reach out and let me know the timing your looking for, I can always adjust. I will make sure I take the necessary steps to ensure your dog is safe. I can easily crate a dog or make sure they are kept in a designated space in the house as needed.
“Laura is an amazing dog walker. She connected with both our dogs effortlessly and made sure that they both got what they needed from her time with them, despite the difference in their ages and physical health. She is also a fantastic photographer and great communicator - I looked forward to her updates each day :) She is now our go-to for all doggie exercise needs!!”

Ananda was wonderful with our pups. We have a very shy skittish girl who warmed up to Ananda immediately. Our wild boy also adored her and couldn't wait to see her arrive for walks. Quiet and calm,Ananda was timely, communicated about the pups walks and great with our dogs. I highly recommend her.

I am very happy to have found Chloe on Rover. MY dog will miss her!
Laura is awesome! She pays close attention to our reactive pup's cues and works to stay within her comfort zone to have a successful walk. Laura also has super communication, sending detailed updates and walk reports. We're so grateful for her reliable care!

Anna always does an amazing job communicating her availability and time with me. She is always happy to take care of my pup and kitties when she is available. Bubba is always happy to see her, and she does a great job walking him even though he can be leash reactive with other dogs.

Talissa is a great dog walker! Walking my Koa for the past month or so for a couple of days a week and Koa loves going on walks with her. I couldn’t have asked for a better person so caring and timely. Communication is absolutely amazing and I love the daily updates. Definitely recommended!

Esteban is the best! He’s the best!

Yonte took incredibly good care of my dog over an extended period of time and I am very grateful for her support. My dog has some behavioral reactivity and Yonte was willing to put in the time to get to know how best to care for her. She then took care of my dog for several months, going above and beyond to meet her needs for exercise and love. I would trust Yonte with all pet sitting, from short walks to extended stays. She definitely has an intuitive sense with pets and is very loving with them. She is also incredibly kind and easy to work with. I cannot recommend Yonte highly enough for the extraordinary care and love she puts into pet sitting! Thank you, Yonte!
