“Megan and Jenny were fantastic! They communicated multiple updates throughout the day — every day, and multiple times — with photos. They made sure Pancho was well taken care of and enjoyed a variety of activities. They were responsive, attentive, and kind. Drop-off and pick-up were efficient. Highly recommend — we’ll definitely be repeat customers.”

We loved getting the daily updates and photos—it really put our minds at ease while we were away. It was clear our dog felt right at home at her place and was treated like family. We’ll definitely be booking with her again!”

“Baxter had a great first stay with Kristen and Ryan! He took advantage of various comfy lounging spots in their home as well as sunbathing in their backyard. Baxter was in great shape when I returned. Kristin and Ryan are very friendly and kind, and their communications were clear throughout. I received updates with pictures at least once a day, as requested. I greatly appreciated their flexibility to extend Baxter's stay a bit and coordinate a different pickup arrangement when my trip plans changed. I would certainly book with them again!”

“Meera was great and professional. She was very communicative and always sent photos of my dog the whole time, I really appreciate it. She was very sweet and gentle with jazz and took her on walks and hikes. I would recommend to anyone”

About: I absolutely love all animals! Growing up, my family always had a minimum of two dogs at a time. Since I was young, I have been trusted by friends and family members to watch over not only their pets, but their plants as well. As an adult living alone, I have only ever had 1 cat at a time in my home, however, my plant game has grown to a bit of a jungle! On top of taking care of animals, I also LOVE a clean house and I take it upon myself to always leave people’s homes cleaner than I found them in! I’m currently looking to open my own business doing just that: Pet sitting and deep cleaning while folks are out of town. In my opinion, there is nothing better than coming home from a vacation or a work trip to a clean home and a happy animal! I have been working with Meowtel watching cats for the last year and have found it to be exceptionally rewarding. Recently, my sweet cat passed away and I left my demanding job. Due to these circumstances I have decided that since I have the time and opportunity, opening my home to board would be a great way to expand my offerings. I look forward to meeting this community and giving dog (cat, plant, etc.) owners peace of mind while they travel, get stuck working a double, or just want to support their companion with an extra afternoon walk. I left my extremely demanding job in December after my cat got sick. I wanted to spend as much time with him as possible. Since his passing, I have focused on taking care of pets and cleaning homes. This has brought me more joy than any demanding corporate job, and I hope I can continue to work in this capacity for many years in the future. My schedule is very flexible! I am an animal lover living in an animal free home at this moment. Because of this, I am open to boarding. I am not concerned with animals who want to sit on the couch with me or lay on the bed, but I will follow the rules of what they’re allowed to do at home if you prefer that. My home will be their home, and I will do everything to make sure that they feel safe and cared for while in my hands. I’m an active person and love taking long walks and hikes. So, if that’s something that your dog is into, I am happy to schedule an adventure that meets their mileage needs! On the contrary, if you have a small dog or one who just wants to go out for a stroll around the block or to do their business in the grass, I’m happy to do that too! I have a small unfenced side yard to accommodate. I live on the second floor of an apartment building with no elevator, so if your pup is not able to do stairs and is too heavy to pick up, my home wouldn’t be a good fit.

“Could not have asked for a better accommodation and care for my pooch! Patrick communicated and provided updates and photos daily and I could see that my dog was well-cared for and loved. I would definitely recommend him to all other pet parents! Thank you, Pat!”

“We left the country and left our German Shepard our love , our precious Lexi with Chad . And while we traveled we felt she was safe, cozy, happy and comfortable even though she missed us . Thank you Chad .”

“Nasreddine was super helpful to me in a pinch! She was communicative, responsive, flexible with my travel plans and kept me updated on how my baby was doing while I was away with lots of photos. Thanks Nasreddine!”

“Marlene was wonderful! She was very responsive, kind, and reliable. We met before, so she could be introduced to and ask questions about Birdy. She has a great home environment, and I definitely felt like my pup was in great hands. I would be more than happy to work with Marlene again (as would Birdy!)”

“Our fur baby Fred loved his stay with Cassandra. He was well cared for, made new furry friends, and this dog mom was updated regularly. I would recommend Cassandra and plan to use her in the future!”

“Danielle was very communicative and was very attentive to Zag. She sent lots of pics and vids, said she gave him a bath when he got dirty, and took him out for sunshine and playtime. He got along very well with her super sweet pup as well. Danielle also just seemed very sweet and good with dogs!”

“We feel so fortunate to have connected with Shanley when we relocated to the area. She is absolutely amazing and I felt comfortable trusting her with our cats and home from the moment we met. She was always punctual and provided detailed visit notes and the best photos! We will absolutely engage Shanley’s services the next time we travel.”

“Marian was wonderful, I can tell that she really cares about animals and that she really wanted to make sure my cat was as comfortable as possible. Since moving out of a house with roommates I have never left her alone for a week before and I was really nervous. After the first check-in I felt so much more reassured that she was in good hands and we were able to enjoy our vacation without stress. We will definitely be reaching out to Marian for future cat sitting needs.”

“Laura was amazing. Our two furbabies barely noticed that we were gone, and with all the cute photos that Laura sent, we could tell they were in good hands. Would definitely work with Laura again.”

“Christine was amazing. My cats loved her and my older cat takes a while to warm up to new people. She was out and playing on the first night Christine watched her.”

“Zsa-Zsa was a great sitter for my sweet cat Zelda! She sent multiple cute photos and updates along the way. She also graciously watered my tomato plant even though I did not ask for that in my initial posting. This was my first time using Rover and working with Zsa-Zsa, and I’ll happily hire her again.”

“Our cats really like Patrick and he gets them to come so we can see all is well. they are pretty shy usually and he is really dependable. will definitely use his help again”

“We have had Cindy stop by to clean our cat’s litter box and food plates while we’re gone on trips and she does a great job! She also gives our cat lots of pets while we’re gone. Great cat sitter! 😃”

“I always come home to happy cats whenever Jessica helps out. I have one skittish cat that just loves her! It’s a happy surprise that he warmed up to her so quickly & makes me feel better while I’m out of town. Thank you!!”

“Richard was great! He was friendly, professional and an excellent communicator. My cats loved him and he sent cute photos of their time together. I recommend Richard as a sitter!”

“Shelly was great at taking care of my cat. She sent great pictures everyday and was able to win over my finicky kitty. She was easy to work with and very friendly.”

About: I would be delighted to care for your pet! Whether they need lots of exercise or prefer cozying up, I'm here to ensure they have a great time. With a background in biology and a passion for animals, I bring both knowledge and enthusiasm to pet care. Being new in town, I'm excited to explore the neighborhoods with your dog. My experience includes caring for my family dog, a wonderful Lab, and being the go-to pet sitter for friends and colleagues for 20+ years. I genuinely love being around animals and can't wait to meet your pet! Hablo español. Falo português. I am a researcher who works from home, so I have a flexible schedule and can take care of your pet's needs in busy peak work times. I like to walk and explore new parts of town, so pet sitting is an ideal job for me. I will follow your guidelines, maintaining your pets' routines and ensuring they follow their regular schedules. I can offer them exercise and engage in playful activities or keep them company at their own pace, all while keeping them happy and stimulated.

“Presley and Freya loved having Melissa take care of them! I arrived home from my trip yesterday with two pretty relaxed kitties, and a slew of new photos to add to my collection 😁 She was a great communicator, and left everything just as she found it.”

“Joyce is a very responsible pet sitter! My cat is very shy and scared with strangers, and Joyce really took the time to get along with my cat. During the visits, Joyce and my cat became great friends, and she absolutely takes the BEST pictures of my cat. Joyce was also flexible with my change of schedule where we added two more visits. I can tell my cat got great care from her because my cat looks very happy, healthy, and energetic when I returned home. Highly recommend!!”

About: I have taken care of cats my whole life. I have seen cats through life from kitten to elderly, providing medications and cleaning up countless messes. Nothing will surprise me! I attune to every personality well: I love snuggling with the snuggly ones, take care around skittish ones, and everything in between. I am punctual and respectful your time and space.

About: Cats are my specialty — I’m an amateur feline behaviorist. I’ve earned the trust of even the shyest and most “impossible” cats thanks to my deep understanding of feline communication, stress signals, and needs. My cat care comes with litter box maintenance and 𝓬𝓸𝓶𝓹𝓵𝓲𝓶𝓮𝓷𝓽𝓪𝓻𝔂 𝓰𝓻𝓸𝓸𝓶𝓲𝓷𝓰: brushing (a must for bonding) and minor mat removal (we don’t like pain). Nail trimming, ear cleaning and baths available for an additional fee. I’m well-versed in feline nutrition (I make my food for my own cats!), grooming (brushing, mat removal, nail trimming, bathing), play (=prey), and administering medication. I create calm, safe environments where cats can decompress, thrive, and feel seen. If your cat needs someone who truly gets them, you’re in the right place.

“Caitlin and Chris took such great care of Ellie, and they provided just the right number of updates/photos so we never had to worry or wonder how she was doing in their care. They were attentive to her needs and paid attention to our care instructions. Ellie came home a happily tired out pup after her day playing and cuddling with them!”

About: I had a dog for 15 years and while we are holding out on getting a new one for a few years till we stop traveling so much, we would love to hang with yours periodically when in town! We have a fenced in yard to throw a ball in (and a six and nine year old who never tire in doing so) and love taking walks to all the local Piedmont parks with a pup. My husband is mildly allergic, so unfortunately only able to take in non shedding, hypoallergenic poodle type mixes. And of course dogs need to be kid friendly, but my kiddoes are very sweet and gentle with dogs and will give the dogs lots of pets and affection in return. My husband and I both predominately work from home so there's always someone around to love on a furry friend or take a break to get outside for a walk. I predominately work from home and I love frequent walks with a pup. We live close to many Piedmont parks which is a great place to go and visit other dogs or just explore some new grounds. I have a fenced yard and loving older gentle children who adore pets. I can crate your dog if desired to sleep, but also have an 8 year old that would be very happy to snuggle if preferred. You can trust that we will care for your pups as if they are our very own family dog for the duration of their stay.
About: As a dedicated and experienced pet sitter, I am passionate about providing the best care possible for all types of pups. As a specialized pet sitter for bully breeds and small dogs, I understand the unique needs and quirks of these adorable dogs. With years of experience and a deep love for all things pup, I am committed to providing the highest level of care and attention to your furry friend. Everything from numerous short walks and playtime (temperature permitting) to feeding and medication administration, you can trust me to provide reliable and compassionate care for your dog. I am dedicated to ensuring your pet feels safe, happy, and loved while you're away. My home has ramps to access all furniture and gates to prevent pups from running up and down stairs to protect their spines and potential IVDD flare ups. Our morning starts off with a walk around the neighborhood, then it’s breakfast time which means training and play with positive reinforcement! Your pup then has playtime with toys and with my dog Penelope if they are up for it or can snooze away. We then take a quick walk during lunch to stretch our legs and say hi to our friends at Rocky’s. After work we love to be in nature and hit the trails or parks to get some steps in! After dinner I love nothing more than to cuddle with the pups on my couch before bed! We have an outdoor deck that the dogs always have access to. Mostly serves as a sunbathing lounge 😎. The deck is also equipped with grass patches for easy potty breaks. Your pup with have the company of my dog, Penelope. She is a playful and well behaved French bulldog. I have a robust routine for her to keep her healthy and prevent her from being affected from her predisposed IVDD. I can easily incorporate any special needs or request that your day may need.
“Kelly was amazing! She is so thorough in getting to know both the dog and owner at the meet and greet. She put our shy dog at ease immediately, and our dog was very comfortable during her first daycare day. Thank you, Kelly!”

“Fadi was great with Benji. He sent regular updates and photos, and Benji seemed happy and relaxed throughout. We felt very comfortable leaving Benji in his care and highly recommend him.”

“Tamara was a wonderful dog sitter for our "puppy" Ace! Ace is a 8 month old, big, German Shepard who had only stayed with family members prior to his time with Tamara. He was a little shy at first but it was clear that Tamara understands how to work with dogs. Her dog Finn is a lovely dog who was also very welcoming to Ace. Ace had great fun playing with Finn and was content and exhausted at the end of each day. Ace looks forward to staying with Tamara again in the future!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was a kid. We always had pets growing up. I work from home and watch one dog at a time, giving them the attention and care they need. I work from home with a flexible schedule, so I have plenty of time for walks, play, and pets. I am able to accommodate to the dog’s that I’m watching schedule. I live in a dog friendly neighborhood that is great for walks. I make sure dogs are well fed and will cook for them if needed/wanted. I am also comfortable giving dogs medication they may need.
“Sarah was wonderful with Bijou! He is a well-behaved dog but has a ton of energy, and it was clear that Sarah understood his personality perfectly. You could easily tell from the pictures she shared that he was having a blast. She took him on a couple of walks, and he came home completely happy and tired out from all the fun. I highly recommend Sarah for doggy day care and will definitely use her services again!”

“Latricia was great! My dog can be a bit difficult with new people, but Latricia was patient and understanding. She kept me updated with pictures throughout the day, too, so I had peace of mind.”

“Nasreddine is such an amazing dog sitter, I can’t recommend her enough! From working with our schedule to sending us updates on Kay she was on it and fantastic! Highly recommend her to anyone’s pups!!”

“Meagan was wonderful! We had a last-minute need for care on Thanksgiving for Rory, our 6-month-old Husky mix, and Meagan really helped us out. We scheduled a meet and greet for the prior Sunday so that Rory could meet the other doggo friends she'd be spending the day with. Rory loved sniffing around the backyard and eating plants (sorry!!). Meagan watched her all day on Thanksgiving, and based on the photos she shared, Rory clearly had a blast! We're really grateful for the care that day, and to have such a great option for future care. Thanks, Meagan!”

About: I’ve been lucky to grow up surrounded by both dogs and cats, and I can’t remember a time when there wasn’t at least one furry friend in my home. My pup, Ray Charles, and I truly enjoy the company of dogs of all sizes and personalities and foster on the side as well. I personally used Rover for my pup when I traveled for work so I treat every sitting as if it were my own pup. From outdoor exercise, park playtime, and lots of frequent updates, I will ensure your pup is having a lovely time and you have peace of mind! To make sure everyone is comfortable, I like to arrange a friendly meet-and-greet before we set anything in stone! I work remote and have a lot of flexibility of schedule. Ray Charles and I spend our days exploring the beautiful parks and trails of the East Bay—and we’d be thrilled to have your pup join us for some fun walks and fresh air! Ray and I live in a cozy but spacious one-bedroom with a backyard, perched at the top of a hill in a safe, peaceful neighborhood that’s perfect for walks and outdoor play.
“Krishna and her partner provided excellent care, attention and affection for my husky during my stay in S.F. They brought their sweet dog Milo out for meet and greet, all went well and my dog had a great stay. Highly recommended!”

“Sophie has been amazing with my girl Rosie as she adjusts to city life. She has made a huge impact on keeping her calm and helping keep her active by giving her good exercise and working with to stay calm and focused while encountering squirrels, other dogs and loud noises on their walks. I have noticed such a change due to Sophie's interventions. Sophie is prompt, communicative and kind. A one of a kind! Rosie adores her!”

Love the rover.com app and the report card feature! Christine clearly followed the protocol, gave informative daily feedback and put our concerns about leaving new foster pet at ease. Thanks Christine!”

“Tim provided wonderful care for my puppy during a difficult time. They understood her needs, communicated clearly, were really respectful of my home. I noticed that they remembered specific concerns I had made sure to keep those im mind. I also appreciated the thoughtful pictures they sent and their intentionality in the details they provided about how the care went and how much puppy was doing. Thank you, Tim!”

About: I have had and cared for pets since childhood, rescuing (literally from the streets) a lovely pitbull named Olive when I lived in Philadelphia. Moved to CA in May 2026 from East Coast. I recently moved to CA to support my wife’s new job in SF. I have a fully open schedule at the moment and with a love of animals I thought that this would be a better way to learn and love my new community than digging through online job ads. I am willing to sit, play, walk, feed and care for your pets as needed. I’m an active (formerly collegiate) runner and can go as fast or slowly as your pet needs. I have reliable transportation and experience in pet first aid as I recently completed my tenure as an Emergency Manager with the American Red Cross.
“Adam was awesome with our two dogs while I was at school. He listened to all of our concerns with our older dog and Adam went above and beyond to make sure he was walked safely.”

“Shelly was available right away to walk my dog while I was stuck at work. She responded quickly to me and took care of my dog really well. I highly recommend Shelly!”
“Victoria walks our friend’s dog and I was so impressed on quick passing that we signed up our dog too. She clearly takes her dogs on proper exercise walks and pays a lot of attention to them along the way. Super friendly and thoughtful.”

About: Hi there! I'm Karly, a lifelong animal lover who has been caring for dogs and cats for as long as I can remember. I spent about four years as a dedicated dog walker in Southern California, building a loyal community of pups (and their humans) who kept coming back because they knew their babies were genuinely loved and well looked after. These days I'm based in Oakland, and I'm so excited to bring that same energy to your dog. Over the years I've lived with dogs of all shapes, personalities, and breeds from big goofy pitbulls to spirited blue heelers, so I'm comfortable with the whole spectrum. I'm also experienced with oral medications and the extra patience and care that special-needs or picky pets require. Your dog's routine matters to me, and I'll always do my best to honor it. One thing I hear a lot: shy or anxious dogs tend to warm up to me pretty quickly. I think it's because I let them set the pace, just patience and a calm presence until they feel safe. It's honestly one of my favorite things to witness. At home I share my space with my sweet one-eyed black cat Lady, so I'm used to a house that revolves around an animal's needs. I'm very flexible with scheduling and availability, especially through the summer, so please don't hesitate to reach out even if your timing is a little unconventional. I would love to meet your pup! 🐾 Pet care isn't something I squeeze into my life — it's genuinely central to it. I currently work part time in the nightlife industry, which means my days are largely free and my schedule is wonderfully flexible. The other half of my time is already dedicated to pet sitting, so caring for animals is quite literally built into my weekly rhythm. Because I'm not locked into a traditional 9-to-5, I have real availability during the hours that matter most: mornings, afternoons, and daytime check-ins when most pet parents are at work. I'm rarely in a rush, and I think animals can feel that. If something comes up last minute or you need a little extra flexibility, I'm almost always able to make it work. When I'm caring for your dog/cat in your home, my number one priority is making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and like their normal routine hasn't been disrupted. I follow your feeding schedule and system exactly, and always make sure fresh water is available throughout the day. Beyond the basics, I make sure your pup is getting plenty of attention, affection, and enrichment while you're away. Whether that's belly rubs on the couch, a good play session, or just calm company for a dog who doesn't love being alone. You'll never have to wonder if your dog is just sitting in a corner somewhere. They're loved on.

“Emily is so lovely! She is very patient, flexible and clearly works very well with dogs of all temperaments. One of my dogs is a bit of a special one-requires a specific approach and Emily was very easy to chat with and willing to take on a bit of a challenge. She was super friendly and sent amazing pictures of the pups. It was my first time trying Rover and I will definitely do it again, especially with Emily!”

“Zsa-zsa is phenomenal and did a great job caring for my old dog while I was out of town. She is communicative and kind and clearly has a way with the four-legged among us. She'll be our go-to-gal from here on out!”

About: I’ve always had at least one dog in my home and am happy to care for yours! I recently moved from Seattle area and I’m unemployed for a few weeks so I have plenty of time to dedicate. Walking dogs also seems like a great way to explore the city. I’ve had many experiences w/ behavior challenged pups and/or rescue animals. I have spent my fair share of time with nervous and aggressive dogs and although I love them dearly I would prefer to keep to drop-in/walk visits for such pups as I have occasional visitors and a dog of my own. My pup Luna and I frequent dog parks and local trails often and we love furry friends! I have a nursing schedule so my days off are completely free. Plenty of time for green lake, discovery park and dog parks just to list a few of the favorites. We are a very relaxed pet family with one dog. Shedding and messes are not uncommon and not a problem. Happy to host when possible.
“Esteban is awesome! He takes good care of Sunny, my terrier puppy. And sends me lots of detailed updates and wonderful photos. Sunny seems very relaxed and happy after walks/hangs with Esteban. Thank you so very much for all that you do!”

About: Years of experience with animals ranging from horses, goats, cattle, pigs, birds, turtles, cats, and (of course) dogs. I am very comfortable around all shapes and sizes and have some experience with animals with special needs and behavioral issues. If you are seeking help with a more challenging pet while youre gone, don't hesitate to reach out! I would love to meet your furry friend and see if I would be a good fit for you care needs! My schedule varies, but it is highly flexible! With advanced notice I am able to work around most dates/ times to better fit your pet care needs I have two dogs of my own in a second floor 1 bed apartment with a large patio space. My neighborhood is quiet (perfect for walking furry friends), and there is a park nearby. I have two dogs in my home, a blind Chocoalate lab named Tramp, and a small cocker spaniel mix naamed Juliet. Both pups are crate trained, threshold trained, etc.
About: I have experience walking two bigger dogs, and cat sitting. The two dogs were blonde Retriever mixs one is a boy and his name is Blue. He is 6 years old and is about 90lbs. The other dogs name is Anika. She is about 70 pounds and is about 3-4 years old. Furthermore, Ive watched an older long haired cat that needed more attention because he needed mesicine and had a strict feeding schedule. During the summer I am available 7 days a week. Hrs after summer will be posted closer to fall/ Early August. Hoping to make/ meet regular clients If im walking dogs I make sure the dog doesnt chase cats, squirrels, or any other small animals. I make sure they are well fed and hydrated after returning from the walk. If the owner instructs me to do anything otherwise I do that as well. For cat sitting/dog sitting, I will do all things needed to ensure the well being of the pet. (administer any needed medication, go on walks, clean up messes, keep pet entertained)

“Alex kept my golden retriever for a week and left me feeling GREAT about the boarding. From the daily pix & videos, it seemed that Alex integrated Mika into her family life completely, even having her at their backyard easter egg hunt! Mika got lots of play time & tons of petting, played with her daughters at the playground across the street, and did her napping right under Alex's feet when she was working. Such a great feeling to know your dog is well cared for when away. Thanks so much Alex!”

“Once again, Ben and his family too such good care of our dog Hank. Ben and his family treat Hank like he’s one of their own. From the moment we drop him up to when we pick him up we can relax knowing he’s in excellent care. We couldn’t recommend Ben and his family more!”

“Truly such a great experience for my dog. Stephanie was so nice and flexible with my schedule. I needed a last min booking and Stephanie truly went above and beyond to help accommodate and give my dog a great time. She exposed my pup to some new activities, like bike riding, which he loved!! It was also my pups birthday when she took care of him and she even gave him a little homemade peanut butter lick mat to celebrate. You won’t regret booking with Stephanie if you’re looking for someone to treat your pup like her own! :)”

“Meagan took such wonderful care of our Kaya girl! She sent so many videos/pictures and updates on how she was doing throughout the whole stay. Kaya particularly loved playing with Rocko and the two seemed to have really bonded! All this made us feel so comfortable knowing she was in very good hands!”

“Angela did a wonderful job caring for my senior pup! She is kind and attentive and made sure that Elsie had a great stay. I would book with her again when the opportunity presents!”

“Spunky did a trial overnight stay and Joann was super sweet and welcoming! I got regular updates, photos, and could tell that my dog was truly comfortable and well cared for.”

“Luna had a great time! She was able to go in and outside as she pleased, and they took her on long walks and out to play. They sent regular updates and I was so glad to leave our pup with someone who gave her so much love and attention.”

“Robert was absolutely wonderful with our girl Phoebe on her first overnight! We were a bit apprehensive as Phoebe has separation anxiety but she was happily occupied with multiple walks and so much love! Robert's level of conscientiousness is unmatched and we completely entrust him with Phoebe's health and safety, including keeping her away from other dogs so her reactiveness isn't triggered. We couldn't ask for more!”

About: I’ve grown up with cats and kittens my whole life and continued adopting them as an adult — animals have always been at the heart of my home! I’ve raised and trained a puppy from 8 weeks old, cared for up to 3 medium-sized dogs at a time, and have experience housing and caring for rabbits, birds, and reptiles too. 🐶🐱🐰🦜🐸🦎 Your pet will be welcomed into a warm, loving home where they’ll be treated like family! I’m also a pet parent myself — my 1-year-old pup and 9-year-old cat are both incredibly friendly with people and other animals and absolutely love making new friends. They’re always excited to welcome new furry guests! 🐕🐈 I believe pet sitting is so much more than just filling a food bowl twice a day — it’s about being real company for your pet. Surrounded by cozy blankets, their favorite toys from home, and plenty of love, your pet will feel comfortable and right at ease from the moment they arrive. I’m happy to provide multiple daily walks and plenty of undivided attention throughout the day!
“Alexis was great. Very communicative and was able to take care of my dog that had many special needs, many medications to take, and a specific routine needing to follow. I highly recommend booking with Alexis!”
