“Great job, our pets and their space was well take care of! Before we left, Megan & Jenny R were collaborating with us on how to provide the best care, and stayed in touch during their visits.”

About: Hi, I’m Eleanna and caring for animals has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember! I grew up spending time in my Greek village, I was always rescuing and caring for stray pets. I rescued my own stray kittens, spent time on Greek farms surrounded by dogs and cats, and later fostered and rescued three cats and a dog in the US. I’ve built strong relationships with my clients and have had the pleasure of caring for many pets through Rover. I have experience with all types of doggies like seniors, special needs, anxious and high energy dogs. I take pride in being reliable, communicative, patient, and attentive. I always aim to make both pets and owners feel safe and can have peace of mind while they are away, and I make sure to send regular updates and photos so you always know your pet is happy and cared for. I specialize in house sitting and in-home care, so your pet can be comfortable in their own environment and regular routine. This is especially helpful for pets who are anxious, older and I make sure to keep a calm, peaceful environment. I’d love to meet you and your furry family and want to be a person that you can depend on to feel safe and trusting with your fur baby. Schedule: I am currently fully available and have a very flexible schedule, which allows me to dedicate a lot of extra time, attention, and consistency to your pet throughout the day. I can usually accept request with short notice. I like to see the pet sitting almost as a “vacation” for your pet so they get extra fun and attention, and this also helps keep them happy if they have separation anxiety and miss their owners. I specialize in house sitting and in-home care, so your pet can be comfortable in their own environment and regular routine. This is especially helpful for pets who are anxious, older and I make sure to keep a calm, peaceful environment. I treat every home with respect and care, and follow your instructions closely to maintain your pet’s routine. I am very tidy and open to helping with any home tasks needed as well. My goal is for your pet to feel safe, calm, and loved, and for you to feel at ease and trust that your pet is in good hands.

“Maricruz did an incredible job checking in on my furbaby. She was so gentle, sweet, and clearly cared a lot about making sure my “Buddy” was comfortable and well looked after. He is 15 years old so I get really nervous leaving him but her communication was fantastic, and the updates made me feel so reassured. I’m very grateful for the care she gave and would happily trust her again. Buddy seconds that! :)”

“Lucy was absolutely wonderful! She was communicative throughout the entire booking—quick to respond and always kept us updated with the cutest photos. She followed all instructions carefully, and my cat HaoHao was happy and well cared for. We felt at ease knowing Lucy was looking after her. Will definitely be booking again!”

“Zoe is communicative, friendly, and got along great with our cat! We would recommend her services to anyone looking for a pet sitter (and have already rebooked her for next week ourselves!)”

“Jana was great with taking care of our cat for over three weeks on our recent trip away from home. She was punctual in her daily visits, spent close to an hour with him daily, and our cat accepted and befriended her easily despite being shy with strangers. Jana provided us with daily reports and spent us fantastic pictures of our cat on a regular basis. We felt reassured that our cat was well taken care of. Jana also watered our outdoor plants for us. We will not hesitate to have Jana take care of our cat again in the future.”

“Diana was wonderful! She was so communicative, easy to work with, and gave great updates. I would definitely recommend her to others. We’re grateful she pet sat our cats while we were gone!”

About: I grew up around dogs and have always been around them. I have a senior husky I got as a pup, and my wife and I have a poodle mix that we got at eight weeks. I lived with a Malinois during its puppy years and really enjoyed training with her. I also have experience pet-sitting for many friends' dogs ranging from a ten-pound chihuahua mix to a one-hundred-pound Malamute and many in between. I work a service job and my schedule is irregular. I am looking to care for pets when I am not at work or caring for my own! I have a fenced backyard and I have two dogs that are very friendly and playful. I would want to have our dogs meet for some walks and play times before I would consider boarding them in my home. I am also really good at solo walks with dogs, and have a background in hospitality so I know how to treat others' pets and homes with the kindness and respect they deserve.

About: Thank you for considering me to be your dog’s home away from home! I have over 8 years of experience caring for my childhood dogs, along with caring for dogs outside of Rover. I have experience with taking care of dogs as young as 2 months old and as old as 16 years old. With my experience I understand that all dogs are different and need special care and attention. Being away from your dog, and your dog being away from you can bring a lot of anxiety for the dogs as well the owner; but I am more than happy to help ease the anxiety and make sure your dog is loved and care for and receiving all the attention they need while you are away. Although I don’t have a yard, I am walking minutes away from the beach, and parks nearby. I work from home Monday-Friday which will allow me to keep a close eye on your beloved fur baby; and will also allow more flexibility for drop off and pick up. I am currently working full time remotely which allows me more flexibility with accommodations. Please send me a message for any scheduling accommodations you may need. I am able to provide your fur baby at least 3 walks/day (Morning, noon, evening). Depending on your preference, I can send an update once or twice (morning and evening) a day. I have experience working with senior dogs therefore I am familiar with administering medication if your dog has any medications they are taking.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Alameda
Bryanna did an outstanding job taking care of Mellie. Bryanna was so kind, friendly, and thoughtful when it came to communication. She listened and took notes during our meet up so she’d know exactly what to do. Bryanna fed Mellie her “special foods” as instructed, took time to play with her, and let her have outside time. Also our kitty is normally so shy but Mellie warmed right up to her. Will definitely hire her again!

Thank you for spending time with our cats. We know they loved having you around. We really appreciate how you went above and beyond, making sure our apartment was in good condition when we came back as well, and the extra time you spent playing with them. Thanks for the videos and photos, your narratives were always so lovely to read.

Cyvanah was so attentive and experienced with our rambunctious (difficult) cat and our shy, timid cat. We appreciated the daily pictures, messages and updates on their daily shenanigans. She was very communicative and when she couldn’t find our shy cat Mina, she made sure to call us to check other hiding spots, which was thoughtful. Would highly recommend Cyvannah to others - you will be in trusted hands!

Liz was wonderful! She was very communicative throughout the weekend, provided detailed updates after each visit, and shared plenty of pictures so we always knew our fur babies were doing well. We felt completely at ease knowing they were in such great hands. We would happily rebook Liz in the future and highly recommend her!

It was my boyfriend and I’s first time leaving our kitty alone for the weekend while out on a trip and Maggie was a huge help! She was professional, kept us updated on each visit, and sent lots of pictures. Our kitty was so happy during her visits and we will definitely be rebooking (:

Julia was a fantastic sitter for our two kitties! I really appreciated her thoroughness with everything and loved getting her very detailed rover cards every day. She left such nice pictures and notes about how our cats were doing and it really helped us feel better while we were missing them on our trip. She was great to work with and we will definitely book her again!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
