I am an experienced companion animal care provider with 10+ years of professional experience currently working at Claremont veterinary hospital in Rockridge. I am deeply passionate about supporting the welfare of animals and providing compassionate, individualized care. I see every animal as an individual with their own unique needs, wants, and personality, and I tailor my care to the animal in front of me by paying close attention to their body language, behavior, and history. I am confident in my ability to help animals feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for when their owners are away. I also utilize positive reinforcement training techniques, with proven success in helping dogs learn new skills and behaviors. I have experience with potty training and working with dogs who experience leash reactivity, always using patience, consistency, and reward-based methods. Above all, my goal is to make your pet feel safe, happy, and understood while you’re away. I treat every animal in my care with the same patience, respect, and attentiveness I would want for my own, and I want you to have peace of mind knowing they’re in caring and capable hands.

I have a 15-yr-old rescue Pom who tends to keeps to herself when other dogs are around (shes a people person).. If you’ve got an anxious furry friend, I will make sure to provide plenty of patience and gentleness. My goal is to create a safe environment for comfort and play for your pup.

Very good communication and great rover card updates. Impressively, our usually very shy cat, came out by day 2 and was totally at ease with Elena! Usually she doesn't poke out until day 3 or 4 for a quick peek

Elena helped us out when we needed a sitter on short notice. She was very easy to communicate with and I felt that our pup was in great hands while we were traveling!

Schedule
I am currently working full-time at Claremont Veterinary Hospital in Oakland. Animal care is a passion of mine and is very fulfilling for me. I am available before 9am and after 5:30/6:30pm on weekdays for drop-in visits (potty break, feeding, playing, medication, etc.) and open availability on weekends for drop-ins and house/petsitting.

- I find it important to know ahead of time if your dog has high energy levels or attention needs. If so, I like to make sure my schedule will accommodate. It’s also necessary to know if your pup understands boundaries with other dogs. My dog is older and mostly prefers her space.
