I thought I was going to be an empty nester but my daughter has decided to live with me while she attends college locally. I have a large fenced backyard in Vallejo. However, the reason I am posting in Moraga is that I lived in Moraga(near Los Perales Elementary School) for 9 years until Sept.2018. I moved after my youngest graduated from high school in June 2018. I am intimately familiar with LaMorinda(and Oakland for that matter as we lived in 3 houses there). Frankly, there are more families that travel in LaMorinda than Vallejo. My reviews will substantiate my competence in caring for your dog(s). I am willing to pick up/drop off your dog for $10 each way to LaMorinda,Walnut Creek, Oakland and Berkeley or any communities close to those. I live in a nice house with a big back yard. If you want to drive up once and check the place out, perfect! If you prefer not to make the trek to Vallejo even once, I could drive down to meet you with pictures of my new home. I can give you personal references. In my world, dogs are a 10 and people(in general) are a 5. That is honestly the way I feel. Dogs are just so geeat. I love taking care of dogs and would welcome your dog into my home. Since my dog is allowed on the furniture and bed, so is yours! How long have you been a dog lover? Tell us about your history with dogs. I have been a dog lover all of my life. As a child, my best friends were my dogs. What would you like to know about a dog before sitting him or her? Do you have any breed preferences? Well, I have owned dachshunds, dobermans, corgis, and I currently have a senior miniature american eskimo but I love all breeds. Do you have reliable transportation in the event of an emergency? Yes, I have a Toyota Rav 4 and am 11 minutes from 2 local vets, 20 minutes from a night time, weekend emergency vet. Are you comfortable administering medication? Yes, I have had several if my own dogs on medications. I am very comfortable administering medications. How much time do you plan on spending with my dog each day? I am pretty much with these dogs 24/7 except when I do an errand where a dog is not allowed. With your permission, I would take your dog with me in the car unless it is too hot to do so . In the event I am gone several hours, I have an experienced high-school or college- aged dogsitter to watch the dogs while I am away. If you have a backyard, please describe it. A big fenced in backyard. Flat directly in back in an L shaped. Your dog would be watched out in the backyard. Where will my dog sleep? Usually your dog will sleep in my bed with me. If it doesn't like the bed, the dogs usually sleep on dog beds around my bed. The dogs like to sleep near me and I like them sleeping near me. Some dogs prefer sleeping downstairs on the couch which is fine by me. Occasionally I get puppies that sleep in crates and I sometimes(owners discretion) place the crate adjacent to my bed, usually with a sheet over it to limit distractions. Where will you take my dog on walks? Tell me about it. I will take the dog in my neighborhood in a large circle, and check with you about the length of time you want the dog walked if your dog is elderly, isn't normally walked, or has some special medical needs.
