About: I grew up in a household where we always had cats and dogs, and it was the best!! Now, I have a sweet dog and our newest addition, a rescue cat. Our home has two lush green lawns where our pets love to play. Because I work from home, I’m available to nurture and care for my pets all day long. I work remotely from home, so I am free all day to walk pets, entertain pets, and take pets out to potty. Because I already own a dog and cat, caring for others’ will align perfectly with my schedule. I have a large fenced yard with a grassy lawn where your fur baby can sun bathe, run, and play as desired. I like to send photos/video/updates in batches at the start and end of the day unless requested otherwise.
“Natalia was awesome. Not only she was able to help me watch neeko at a very last minute due to me having to work but she took great care for her. She even walked Neeko for me during her day care stay which was a first from all the different sitter I had. Thank you Natalia!”

“Tatiana is a nice, sweet, and pleasant lady. She welcomed us even though I was late for a scheduled drop off time. She answered my questions right away and I understood how she spent her day with Tatiana’s care. She took my dog out to the park and walked her around the park. I know my dog enjoyed staying with her because she seemed tired when I picked her up and went to sleep right after we got home.”

“Our recently adopted puppy had his first doggy daycare stay with Beatryx. Beatryx made sure that we felt comfortable that our puppy would be introduced to other pups in a measured and controlled way, and that Beatryx would give us updates about our pup's day. Sure enough we got plenty of picture updates, our pup made friends, and was happy as a clam when we picked him up.”

“She is a total sweetie and very accommodating! My dog can get shy and anxious around new people and other dogs and Julia took great care of her adapting to what will work best to ease some of my girls anxiety. Sent lots of pictures and updates as well, we already booked her for more overnights as well as drop ins! She is very flexible with her schedule and meeting her clients needs. Thank you Julia!”

“Jasmine and Gabriel watched my 4-year-old dog and 3-month old puppy, while my husband and I were at Disney for the day. They took great care of them, and sent us photos during that time, which was very appreciated. We would let them watch our babies again, thank you guys for watching them!”
“The boys completed their first daycare visit; all went well and they seemed to have enjoyed themselves. Also, appreciated the good communication between Owner and Sitter. We'll be back for another visit soon :)”

“Rosa was great with Ricky. We don’t live far and sometimes on our walks we pass by Rosa’s place and Ricky will pull and fight to try and go there. Owner and pet approved dog sitting!”

About: I have been providing home-style dog boarding and pet care since 2017, with over 9 years of hands-on experience. I also worked for two years at a professional dog boarding and daycare facility in San Francisco and have experience in animal rescue. I am experienced in caring for dogs of all ages and personalities, especially puppies, senior dogs, rescue dogs, and dogs with anxiety or special needs. What sets me apart is my small, home-based care approach. I only accept 1–2 dogs at a time, which allows me to provide full attention, a calm environment, and truly personalized care for each dog. I am patient and attentive, and I adjust my care based on each dog’s personality to help them feel safe, comfortable, and at home. I stay at home most of the time and have a flexible schedule, so caring for pets is a natural part of my daily life. I take dogs out for walks, feed them, and spend time with them every day. I only accept a small number of dogs so I can give each pet plenty of attention and care. Home-style care in Castro Valley. Only 1–2 dogs at a time, never more than a small pack — so every visitor gets personal attention and a calm, consistent routine. Quiet indoor spaces to nap, multiple walks outside each day, and free meet-and-greets before any stay. I've been caring for dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs and more since 2018 and specialize in small and medium dogs under 45 lb.
“Emerson and his family were great sitters for Bernie. Communication was strong, he even sent pictures and a video to let me know how things were going. We meet the day before so that they would be familiar to my dog. It was a good match from the very beginning. We will definitely use them again.”

“Stache had a great time with Golda. He came back to us calm, stress free and happy. That is a sign that he was very comfortable around Golda. We appreciated the frequent updates and photos!”

About: Hello! My name is Tabatha and I've taken care of dogs for the past 10 years outside of having dogs myself for my whole life. I’ve used Rover for my dog too, so I understand the level of care pet parents look for! I also foster dogs from local shelters from time to time so I’m used to working with all kinds of pups. I recently started working from home more so I have more availability to hang with your pup. :) I currently work from home on the days I’m available & love to take the dogs out for a romp in the yard or walks in the neighborhood. There’s a doggy door to my fenced backyard so they can also come & go as they please. :) I have a fenced in yard and am familiar with walks and parks in my area. I also love playing and engaging pets with toys and training.
“Briana came through for us in a pinch, responding promptly to our daycare request and providing top-notch care for our pup. We felt completely at ease leaving her with Briana, especially knowing that she also had a furry friend in Banks. Briana's regular updates, with videos and pictures, kept us connected and reassured throughout Maple's stay. The extra gesture of taking Maple on a lengthy walk, keeping her occupied with toys and treats, speaks volumes about Briana's dedication and kindness. Maple returned home happy and thoroughly worn out—a thank you Briana!”

“Terry is beyond what we could ask for in a dog sitter/trainer/caregiver. He is truly the best. We are new to the area and wanted a reliable and caring space for our puppy to stay and he has treated our pup like his own. We are so excited to have Terry as our go-to person for our pup!”

About: I care for pets like my own. I go above and beyond and make sure they are clean and happy. I love taking the dogs I care for on long walks and I also enjoy playing with them, and giving them attention through a good 'ole fashioned belly rub. I am happily retired and love animals. My husband and I were pet owners to a beautiful spunky, honey-colored Pomeranian, named Daisy. Sadly she passed away in 2021 after 13 beautiful years together. I haven't replaced her since. I dog/pet sit for my friends' dogs on occasion. Pet sitting helps fill the void of my Daisy and I would like to do it more for those that may need it. My friends and family entrust me with their pets because they know I will care for them as my own. When I dog sit, I give them attention, play with them, and take them on walks. If I'm not taking them for a walk around the neighborhood or the local park, I have a backyard for them to handle their immediate business. I have a fenced backyard, a spacious living room and a large bonus room that is connected to our living room that allows dogs space to roam around. And if requested, I can also administer medications or have your dog sleep in their crate, if needed.
About: Our dogs are the most important beings in our lives. We want to share our oasis with other small dogs. Our goal is to have an animal sanctuary with many kinds of animals, but we are starting with small dogs in our home. We have two small loving dogs, Button, an 11 year-old Lhasa Apso, and Bow, a 9 year-old Doxiepoo. Our dogs have their own nursery, and our canine guests will stay next door in their own space. We have a beautiful garden the dogs will have continual access to, as well as two walks a day--one a longer adventure to Chabot Park, the beach, or a comparable change of scenery. We have always been very stressed about leaving our dogs when we go away, and all the commercial pet resorts seem to be glorified kennels: noisy, spartan, overwhelming, incommensurately expensive for what they offer. We are new to hosting canine guests; the Doge Palace is brand new, so we will only be taking one small dog at a time and keeping our initial rates artificially below market rate. Your dog needs to be trained not to pee or poo in the house and be accustomed to spending time with other dogs. Our guests will sleep in their own bed nestled near our own dogs. In the future, half of the proceeds will be donated to the East Bay SPCA to provide assistance to people who cannot afford veterinary care and Nobody's Perfekt Dogs and Cats Rescue for disabled or elderly dogs. At the moment, we want to help the many abandoned pets in Ukraine, so we will be sending contributions there and to Poland where pets of refugees are in need of help. Jeffrey routinely does pro-bono work through his college counseling company for the SPCA--his regular rates are paid for through a direct donation to the SPCA by the client. We want to grow these donations by contributing half of what we make to two animal care organizations and the rest to our dream of having an animal sanctuary. We have a dedicated dog nursery where they can play, a beautiful large fenced-in, quiet garden oasis, and plenty of toys. The dogs get to get out half a dozen times a day for potty breaks and to enjoy themselves outside. We take them out on a walk at noon and in the early evening. Our canine guests will get a one hour-long outing to a park or beach. Robert is a biotech executive that works from home three days a week, and Jeffrey is a professor who works at home all the time. There will always be somebody home and when we leave the house for more than a couple hours, we bring the dogs with us. I work from home, and I always have time to take the dogs out to the garden and on walks with my dogs, Button and Bow. We have a fenced in garden. The dogs go outside in the garden with me. We also play with toys in the house and go on walks.

Super pleased- Jonathan stepped up & accepted our dog sitting at the last minute- after our other dog sitter fell through. Absolutely appreciate the videos & pictures of our boys - Thank You Jonathan for taking care of our boys- I would recommend Jonathan & definitely use his service again .. 👍

Lily was amazing with our dog Poppy! She kept us updated throughout the day with tons of photos, which we really appreciated. She also took Poppy on a long 2.5 hour hike and Poppy came home happily exhausted. It was clear Poppy had a great time and was very well cared for. We’d absolutely book with Lily again!

Taty and Lenin are amazing sitters for Oreo. They are kind, communicative, & keep him active so when I’m home from work, he’s happy and calm. They’ve been very mindful of what he eats, walking him, training, as well as trying to get him to be less scared of.. well.. everything! 😅 I began booking them everyday in at work to ensure Oreo is well loved. I highly recommend these two wonderful human beings for anyone’s fur baby.

Emerson and his family were great sitters for Bernie. Communication was strong, he even sent pictures and a video to let me know how things were going. We meet the day before so that they would be familiar to my dog. It was a good match from the very beginning. We will definitely use them again.

Julia and Michael have been amazing with our girl Bubba and have always been flexible when we’ve had early or late pickups for her. Bubba absolutely loves coming over and playing with their dog, Cas and always gets excited as soon as we pull up to their place!

My dog had a wonderful time with Jason & Anna! They sent many great photos of Fatima enjoying her time including rest time, play time and walks! Fatima definitely had a wonderful time with you both and I’m thankful for the time you spent helping her feel comfortable and cared for. Thank you!!!
