About: As the owner of four cats, I have daily hands-on experience providing consistent, attentive care to animals. Caring for multiple pets has taught me to be patient, reliable, and attentive to each animal's unique needs and personality. While my personal experience has been with cats, I'm comfortable caring for dogs by following their established routines, including feeding, walks, playtime, potty breaks, and providing plenty of love and attention. I'll treat your dog with the same care and dedication I give my own pets! I'm currently a graduate student, which gives me a flexible schedule for pet care throughout the week. I keep my availability up to date and do my best to accommodate your pet's routine, whether that's morning walks, midday drop-ins, or evening visits. I believe consistency is important, so I'll always communicate clearly and provide dependable, attentive care while you're away. Your pet's comfort, safety, and well-being are always my top priorities. Since I'm entering their space, I believe it's important to let each pet take the lead. I take the time to build trust at their own pace and never force interactions or affection. Every pet has a unique personality, and I respect their individual needs and boundaries. I'll follow your pet's routine as closely as possible, whether that includes feeding, walks, playtime, potty breaks, medication (if needed), or simply providing companionship. My goal is to make your pet feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away by maintaining the consistency they're used to. As a pet owner myself, I understand how much trust it takes to leave your furry family member in someone else's care. That's why I'll keep you updated with photos and messages throughout each visit, so you can have peace of mind knowing they're happy, safe, and receiving the same level of care and attention I'd want for my own pets.
About: I had a brother who loved to bring animals home which I had to take care of. Now I have two daughters who love to take care of dogs , cats and other animals. I’m working part time at home so I have more time to play with your pets when I’m on break. I love to play with and to care for animals I have a home with a fence so they can pace around my yard freely without escaping. I don’t have many harsh rules for animals in my house so they can move anywhere they want any time .

About: Hi there! I’m a lifelong dog lover with years of experience caring for furry friends, and I’m excited to help your pup feel happy and loved while you’re away. Though I recently had to be separated from my own dog, I’ve been surrounded by dogs my whole life, so I know how to give them attention, comfort, and fun. Whether it’s a quick visit, a long walk, or overnight care, I treat every dog like a part of the family. I’d love to meet your pup and provide the care, attention, and companionship they deserve! I work from home in a pet-friendly community, so your dog will get plenty of walks, cuddles, and attention all day. I have a flexible schedule if provided with enough notice. I prioritize safety, trust, and a happy environment for every dog. Since I don’t currently have any pets, your pup will have my full attention! I provide walks, cuddles, and supervision in a secure, pet-friendly space. Whether in my home or yours, I follow your rules and routines exactly, treating your dog and your home with the same love and respect I would my own.
“Jessica is a trustworthy and committed sitter that made my animals feel loved and well taken care of. I can tell from the pictures of her playing ball with my dogs that they were in heaven with all the attention she was giving them. Great communication and easy-going with great energy.”

“Ayla is professional and friendly and definitely loves animals. This was the first time we have ever used a sitting service and I am glad we chose Ayla. We will be using her again. Thank you, Ayla.”

“I had some last-minute plans come up and urgently needed someone to look after my dog. Nicole was incredibly accommodating, stepping in on short notice, and went above and beyond to make sure my dog was well cared for. When booking, I accidentally selected the dog check-in service instead of the dog sitter option. I reached out to Nicole about the mix-up, and she was incredibly understanding. She was very flexible and kindly allowed me to adjust my request. Overall, Nicole was truly amazing and I couldn't have asked for a better sitter!”

About: I have two years of experience working at a dog daycare, where I cared for dogs of all breeds, ages, temperaments, and individual needs. My experience includes feeding, administering medication, and following detailed care instructions to ensure each dog receives proper care and attention. I’m comfortable handling a variety of situations and take pride in providing safe, reliable, and attentive care for every pet. I work full-time at a dog daycare, so caring for dogs is already a big part of my daily routine! I’m available for drop-in visits and walks every day before and after work. My schedule can vary, so I’m happy to discuss specific times when booking to make sure I can give your pup the care and attention they need. I’m also comfortable caring for dogs with different personalities and energy levels, and I’ll make sure your pup gets plenty of attention, exercise, and care while you’re away. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I always prioritize their safety, comfort, and routine. I follow any instructions closely, including feeding schedules, medications, and any specific needs they may have. I also treat each client’s home with the same care and respect I would want for my own, making sure everything is kept clean, secure, and as I found it. Most importantly, I want both pets and their owners to feel comfortable and confident that they are in good hands.

About: I’ve been caring for cats and dogs for family and friends for the past 6 years and absolutely love spending time with them! I have experience caring for cats and dogs of different sizes, ages, and personalities, including feeding, walks, playtime, administering basic care, and giving them lots of love and attention. I work part-time in the mornings, which means I have lots of free time in the afternoons, evenings, and on weekends! I’d love to spend that extra time giving your pup plenty of cuddles, playtime, walks, and attention. 🐶💕 I’m happy to work around your dog’s routine and make sure they feel happy, comfortable, and loved while you’re away! Your pup’s safety and happiness are my top priorities! I know how hard it can be to leave your fur baby with someone new, so I’ll treat them with the same love and care I would give my own. I’m responsible, attentive, and always make sure to follow your instructions and your dog’s usual routine. I’ll also keep you updated with plenty of photos and messages so you can relax knowing your pup is in good hands! 🐶✨
“Julia is awesome! I am new to the Las Vegas area and needed to find someone reliable and patient to take care of my dog on occasion. George is extremely skittish and takes a long time to trust new people. I am also very neurotic about the care he receives since he’s so particular. Julia happily came over to do a meet & greet with me & George and then also came back a separate time to see how George would respond in my absence. She’s been back for drop in visits. She was very communicative and gave great detail about the visit and George’s behavior. She is definitely someone I trust with my fur baby.”

About: Your pup will be staying in a gated San Ramon community with tree-lined, well-groomed walking paths right outside the door — perfect for calm, unhurried walks. My apartment complex has its own private dog park for off-leash playtime and a dog wash station to keep your pet fresh and clean before they head home to you. I have two small schnauzer mixes of my own — friendly, playful, and easygoing, not high-energy — so your dog will have relaxed, well-matched company. My fiancé and I split care so no pet is ever alone for more than 2–3 hours, and I use a WiFi camera to check in and keep an eye on things even when I step out. Safe, clean, social, and closely watched — I treat every dog like it’s staying at home. My fiancé and I split care shifts on weekdays so no dog is ever alone more than 2–3 hours and if there are they have the company of two other friendly dogs. Weekends were generally home all day. Days include walks along our tree-lined community paths and a WiFi camera check-in whenever I step out. I live in a gated community, so every walk and play session stays off busy streets. The neighborhood has meticulously groomed, tree-lined walking paths and a private, fenced dog park just steps from my door for safe off-leash time.

Seniors who need medication? Happy to help. Nervous, anxious, or reactive dogs? I'm comfortable working at their pace and earning their trust. I currently work full-time, so my availability varies depending on the day. Workdays (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday): Available before 9:30 AM Unavailable 9:30 AM–1:00 PM Available 1:00 PM–2:00 PM Unavailable 2:00 PM–7:30 PM Available after 7:30 PM Days Off (Wednesday & Saturday): I'm generally available throughout the day and have much more flexibility for drop-ins, walks, or extended visits. If your requested time falls outside my listed availability, don't hesitate to reach out anyway. My schedule can occasionally be adjusted, and I'll always do my best to accommodate your needs whenever possible. Your pet's safety, comfort, and routine are always my top priorities. I take the time to learn each pet's unique personality, feeding schedule, medications, exercise needs, and any special instructions before every booking. I believe pets are happiest when they can stick to their normal routine, especially while their owners are away. While caring for pets in a client's home, I treat both the pets and the home with the same respect I would my own. I'll keep food and water fresh, clean up after your pets, make sure doors and gates are secure, and provide plenty of attention, playtime, or quiet companionship depending on what your pet enjoys. You'll also receive regular updates with photos so you can relax knowing your pets are safe and well cared for. I'm experienced in recognizing animal body language and responding calmly to different personalities and situations. Whether your pet is energetic, shy, or a senior who needs a slower pace, I'll provide patient, reliable care tailored to their needs.
“Thank you Aubrey for being such an amazing sitter and just so flexible with everything! Loved having you sit for my little monsters because you treated them as if they were your own!”
About: I've taken care of close family friends dogs and I've worked at a pet resort for dogs and other animals. You can trust me to treat them with so much love and give them their basic needs and anything else you'd like for me to do with them (: I currently work with dogs full time with a schedule and I will work around the schedule and when it comes to your fur baby I prioritize them first before working with other dogs. I do not have pets of my own but because I've taken care of others and worked at a pet resort for dogs and other animals I know what's needed to be done. I know dog behavior, feedings, medicine, how often they should go use the bathroom, etc.
About: I have more than 15 years of pet sitting experience. I used to do this work together with my mom. It's such a blessing to win the hearts of the pets we're able to take care of. I am also a Reiki Master and can give healings to your pets. I love walking dogs, and feel it's important to give them the amount of exercise they desire to be happy. Sadly my mother is no longer here to do this work as a team with me but I feel fully qualified to do this work individually for you. I've worked with dogs of all ages and sizes and have no fear of large dogs, nor do I fear working with old or ill pets. I hope we'll be able to meet and work together soon.
About: I have been walking and pet sitting for almost 15 years now, taking some years off after i gave birth to my son, i am very excited to be back on the trails hiking and walking my dog friends again! I am a full-time mommy of one, my husband and I own a small business locally to San Ramon as well. I walk dogs M-F between 915am and about 1230 PM and can walk as well in the afternoons between 3-5pm. I have a hike group that i hike T/TH at around 1030am for 45 minutes as well!! I am currently not offering per sitting. If anything changes, I will update you ASAP! Thank you for your consideration. I look forward for dop in visits as needed.
About: I always loved animals so much since I was little I wanted to become a vet until I found out how much science was involved...ha! My friends and family knew how much I loved animals that they would always go to me first to take care of their pets before bringing their furry family members to an animal daycare. I've watched over cats, birds, dogs (small and large breeds) and even helped a young Doberman mama take care of her beautiful 7 pup litter for 4 weeks until they were adopted at 6 weeks old. I also have a special love for horses, so I have taken care of horses but light work such as cleaning, riding, and restocking the hay. I work from home so I'm very flexible in terms of caring for animals. So during the day I can take them out for walks, cleaning, feeding, etc. I don't have any animals myself (yet) so if your fur baby is shy or uncomfortable around other animals, you don't have to worry about that with me. I also have a fenced yard with enough space for your animal to roam around...although I prefer to go to the pet owner's house as the animal will feel more comfortable in their own environment and also because my mom tends to have animal allergies, so for her comfort, I rather go to the owner's house.
The median cost per visit for pet sitting in San Ramon is $29

Jordan was wonderful with my cats! He took great care of them while I was away, and I felt completely at ease knowing they were in good hands. He was very communicative and kept me updated throughout. I think Chloe may have even made a new friend! I would definitely recommend Jordan and would happily have him care for my cats again!

Nicole was fantastic with my 2 cats! I have one cat that is diabetic and happens to be rather mean and the other who is scared of his own shadow. Charlie would hiss and swipe at her and Enzo would hide and not eat. Nicole was so patient with both of them to ensure they were fed and Charlie got his shot. Nicole was great with communicating with me to try to ensure they were fed and well cared for even though they didn't make it easy on her. Also, due to the diabetes being timely is important and Nicole was on time every day, twice a day while we were gone. I would highly recommend Nicole as a pet sitter!

Shiyin was absolutely amazing! She took such good care of our babies and cleaned up after them in ways that were above and beyond. She really captured both of our cats personalities both in her reports as well as in her photos. We will definitely book again with her in the future!

I met Surjit in the Peace Corps and since day one she’s shown a tremendous quality of being a dependable friend. She’s charismatic, she’s thoughtful, and she’s an extremely loving caretaker. When my dog Darwin first met her, his eyes lit up and his pupils went wide with love for her as they continue to do so every time they get together and forget I’m even there. She’s one of the very few people who I trust enough to take care of Darwin and they continue to bond in a way I don’t really see with other people since, even though my dog is very cute, I think he knows it and can be a bit antisocial and aloof. But Surjit sees him and fully accepts him for who he is, as I see her do with all pets in her life. I happily endorse Surjit because I know that she does not just see your pet as a dog or a cat, she sees them as individuals with their own personalities, fears, habits, wants, and needs. I happily endorse Surjit because I know that she will, without a doubt, go above and beyond and take care of your pet like she takes care of her own family and friends.

Yuran and Jax immediately connected. Jax can be slow to warm up but he made it clear she was "in the pack." Yuran is a great communicator and sent updates and photos. Jax is looking forward to more walks with Yuran and I'm happy to have a reliable person to help with him.

Highly recommend Maya! Maya provided drop-in visits for our two dogs and four rabbits, and everything went smoothly. Communication was great throughout, she was always prompt, and it was clear our pets were well cared for. We really appreciated the reliability and attention. We will be booking Maya again.
My husband and I were thrilled with Lindsay and her obvious and genuine care for our cats Foxy and Maizy. It was also very clear that our cats felt comfortable with Lindsay. We were both a bit hesitant about having a cat sitter and Lindsay certainly erased any concern that we had. Lindsay sent loving comments and beautiful pictures of our dear Cats. She made certain that things were left in good order and clean. Thank you, Lindsay.

Brooke just took care of our 3 cats and did a fantastic job. She was here on each day we requested, sent photos and made sure our fur babies had everything they needed including some much needed affection. She is really great with animals. I highly recommend her.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
