“Apollo is not an easy dog. He’s very wary of strangers and takes time to trust new people, so we were honestly a little nervous leaving him while we were gone. But Mitchell did an amazing job. He was patient, calm, and took the time to build trust with Apollo instead of rushing the process. By the end, Apollo was comfortable with him, and that says a lot. Mitchell made sure Apollo was walked, fed, and always had water, and we felt totally at ease knowing our dog was in good hands. You can tell he truly cares about animals and understands how to handle dogs with strong personalities. About: I have always been around dogs and am comfortable helping dogs of any age, size, and need. Working as a veterinary assistant and earning a degree in animal science has helped me build a strong connection to caring for dogs. I am very comfortable with pets that need an extra level of medical care. I work full time 4 days a week and have a bit of a long commute (I will likely be out of the house 6:00 AM - 7:30 PM Mondays - Wednesdays and Fridays for work). My weekends tend to be more free, though most days I can provide care in the evenings or very early mornings. I am happy to stay in pets’ homes to provide overnight care and housesitting. I can easily get into the pets’ routines and provide other house care as needed.

My fur babies loved Maya. She was great with them. Played with them, brushed the Maltipoo (whose fur tends to get tangled easily), cleaned up some accidents they had. I’m so lucky that Maria was available on such short notice! My cat absolutely loved her “substitute mom.” I was pleasantly surprised to come home and see how wonderfully Maria had taken care of both my cat and my home. She even vacuumed up the litter my cat had scattered around the box, removed trash, put the dry-food dish in the dishwasher, and took great care of my plants. Maria is reliable, responsible, thoughtful, and genuinely caring. I’m so happy I found her and would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a wonderful pet sitter!
Performed great drop in visits for our two spoiled cats while we had a local trip. Also had last minute request to water some plants in the summer heat. House, cats, and plants were well taken care of during her visit and will use Alysson again in the future.

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
