About: “I’ve cared for dogs of every size and spirit—from gentle giants like English Mastiffs, St. Bernards, and Rottweilers to energetic Belgian Malinois and tiny charmers like Pomeranians. I meet each pup exactly where they are, whether that means slow strolls, playful wiggles, or calm reassurance. My style is patient, joyful, and tailored to each dog’s personality. Big paws, small paws, shy, silly, or spirited—I make sure every pup feels safe, understood, and wonderfully loved.” PawsWhiskersHooves facebook. “Even with a Monday–Thursday day job, your pets never miss out on love and fun! Early mornings start with walks and cuddles, midday drop-ins cover snacks, potty breaks, and a little play, and evenings are all about wagging tails, purrs, and extra snuggles. Fridays, weekends, and flexible evenings are reserved for extra adventures, long walks, and special care—so every tail wags and every whisker twitches with happiness while you’re away!” pawswhiskershooves Facebook. “Tail wags, purrs, cuddles, and playful zoomies—your pets get it all! My visits are filled with energizing dog walks, cozy cat snuggles, and fun, interactive play for all furry (and tiny ) friends. I also handle medications with care, following your vet’s instructions so your pets stay healthy and comfortable. Drop-in visits cover meals, fresh water, potty breaks, and any little extra love your pets need. Every visit is unique to each personality, making sure your pets feel safe, happy, and wonderfully spoiled while you’re away.”
“AnnMarie took such great care of our baby boy, as always! We hate leaving him behind, but it gives us so much peace of mind knowing that AnnMarie will be here with him, giving him treats and love and playtime and making sure all his needs are well-met! Every time she visits, our kitty gets more and more comfortable and familiar with her and we know we can rest easy! Best cat sitter ever! So grateful for her!”

“Heather was so kind and helpful. She took great care of our kitty! Our cat is a little shy but warmed up to Heather's patient, pet-lover energy right away. We would love to book her again :)”

About: I grew up with dogs and cats and have always loved being around animals. While I don’t currently have pets of my own, I’ve helped care for family pets, roommates’ dogs, and have pet sat for friends many times over the years. I love getting outside for walks and making sure pets get plenty of attention, exercise, and companionship while their owners are away. My schedule is pretty flexible, which allows me to be available for walks, drop in visits, and pet sitting throughout the week and on weekends. I’m happy to work with your pet’s normal routine and make sure they get the care and attention they’re used to. I know how important it is to feel comfortable leaving your pet in someone else’s care. I’ll treat your pet and your home with the same respect and care I would my own. I’m happy to follow any specific instructions and will always keep you updated with photos and messages so you know how things are going.

About: Dogs have been an important part of my life since I got a Border Collie at age 10. Even before then I would look forward to taking care of neighbor's pets to save money to buy a dog. Ever since I got my first cat 10+ years ago they have also become an essential part of my life. I have a corgi (with a tail) named Tina and a white/gray cat named Thin Mint that I befriended as a stray. My love of animals ensures that your pet will get all the love and attention they need when in my care I have a flexible work and childcare schedule so I can adapt to meet your needs regardless of the situation. I can make time in my weekday schedule for routine check in or be available for a weekend vacation I have a car and flexible schedule and can come to your house whenever is needed. I can exercise your pet, clean their poop, feed, and love them
“This was our second time leaving our pup with Megan, and she had a wonderful time! Our pup absolutely loves her, and it’s clear she feels comfortable and happy in her care. Megan is caring, attentive, and kept us reassured throughout.”

About: I provide dependable care with lots of attention, structure and communication so you never have to wonder if your fur baby is in the right hands. I work from home 5 days a week so whether your dog loves long walks, endless fetch sessions or simply some playtime and cuddles i am always available. I used to volunteer regularly at my local animal shelter and because of that I'm comfortable following detailed care instructions, maintaining routines, administering basic medications and caring for pets with different energy levels and temperaments.

About: I offer reliable dog care, including walks, feeding, and playtime to keep them happy and healthy. My experience includes walking and caring for dogs of all sizes, from energetic pups to senior companions. I’m flexible with timing and can accommodate walks, daycare, or overnight stays based on your dog’s needs I’m currently in school and will be doing different small pet sitting gigs this summer! I would be able to come around 3 times a day. I have a dog and two cats of my own. I enjoy going on walks! I would love to care for your animals with the love that they need!

“She was wonderful to have watch my two cats, they adored her so much! She kept me up to date with them through every check in and sent tons of photos!! Loved having her care for them and being super nice to talk too!”

“I was very pleased with the service for Alexa. I would definitely book with them again. I had no worries and a stress free experience. Quick responses, on time and professional.”

“Evelyn was great, and so happy we were able to find her even last minute. She communicated promptly and often. Smoke (our cat) seemed to love her immediately and he has discerning taste. Got all the pets and cuddles, was fed, dealt with his cat litter. Loved all the pics and videos in the check-in. Couldn't ask for anything more when you are leaving your pet in the care of someone else.”

“We have just returned from a 2-week trip and Michael was in charge of Henry. Henry is a poodle-Maltese, very attached to us and prone to marking. Michael worked with us on various strategies to work on this issue and though not resolved, we felt comfortable while away that Henry was well cared for. Thank you, Michael, for being so consistent and professional in your care of our Henry!”

About: I’ve taken care of my cat for 5 years, volunteered 1 year at the Valley Humane Society for cat-care, and have taken care of my sisters, and friends dogs here-and-there. My cat is trained and knows how to sit, stand, twirl, lie down, jump, and give a paw. If I can train a cat, I can deal with your dog. My dog care experience is limited, but, this means I will just be even more cautious and will research the in’s and out’s of dog care like a detective in order to make sure I will get everything right. If you have any specific instructions, I will gladly listen and follow them to a tee. I am great at looking through the eyes of the pet, and adapting my behavior to specific personalities and temperaments. I am great with kids and am creative in the ways I play. My household has 3 adults, 1 senior, and 1 black cat. They will not assist with caretaking but may lightly interact with the pet. The house includes a backyard with a pool and tree-house. Tons of cat toys, cat tree, and a cat-proofed home. 1 huge window to the backyard, and 1 huge window to the front yard (the 2 cat-TV’s 📺), which is perfect for cats to watch the squirrels and birds frolick and the rain and leaves fall. My house is close to the Arroyo River trail, which is a perfect place for dog-walking. Your pet will be cared for, engaged, filled up with safe food, and all-set for a good nights sleep. I go to community college 15 minutes away from my house; and so will be home often. I will have time to take care of your pet after college hours. My home, cat: Your cat will first be placed into my room, and slowly introduced with my cat by scent. If it is clear that the cats are friendly with each other, I may introduce Abraham into the room if it is okay with the owner.* The cat will stay in this room for the night.* I will give the cats necessary space, avoid eye contact until they are comfortable, and will not pet unless they clearly are enjoying it. In the room, the cats will have its own bed, cat tree, litter box, tons of toys and safe spaces where it can retreat to. This room is cat-proofed (wires are hidden or wrapped with hard plastic; no places where it can escape, etc.) Your cat will be 100% safe with me, and will have a lot of fun! Your home, cat: I will interact with your cat in the same respectful way as above ^. I will obey the rules of your home and make sure that I know where the cat is. I am great at engaging even the most bored cats with play, and know how to make it exciting for them. My home, dog: Only small dogs and no overnight. I have a small cat at home, and a large dog will likely scare him. At my house, your dog will enjoy the company of 3 adults and will get to explore a backyard with a pool + tree house. The backyard is fenced, but has much shorter fences on the left-side aisle, and a tree that can be used to escape— so the pup will be leashed at all times or put in a crate (if you have a crate to provide, that would be great!) My house is very close to the Arroyo River trail, which is the perfect place for a dog walk. I will play with your pup like they are my own child! I am creative with the ways I play and try to show them new things. Your dog will be engaged with, fed safe food, supervised and set for a great nights sleep. Your home, dog: I will research the needs of your specific dog breed and comply as precisely as possible. I’ll obey the rules of your home and make sure your dog is entertained, fed, and happy at the end of the day.
About: Having grown up with both Labs and Shepherds, I am very comfortable being around all sorts of dogs. I started dog sitting while I was in high school and loved the opportunity to get to know other breeds. I am experienced in sitting for dogs of all sizes, dog walking, and giving medication. I don’t currently have a dog of my own, so welcome any chance I get to care for others while their owners are away! I work Monday-Friday at a preschool, but have flexibility during my lunch hour if local to Livermore. During the week I am off by 4:30 or 5:30, depending on the day, and am completely open on weekends. While caring for your pets, I will always treat them as if they were my own. Every family has their own special routine, and I find that very important to follow to ensure each and every dog feels as comfortable as they can while their owners are away.
About: I have grown up with two dogs my whole life and currently still have two! I have also looked after neighbors and friends dogs throughout many years! I currently work part-time so I will have plenty of time to take care and play with your dog! I am available for walks and feeding any day of the week, and boarding most days! I have two friendly dogs, (chocolate lab, and GSP) and a fenced in backyard. Plenty of room for playing, our dogs do not sleep in crates but we could easily care for yours if they do!

About: I grew up in a home with my parents being dog breeders, behavioral coaching, and dog showmanship. I later went on to rescue and foster cats and animals. Over the years I’ve been animals-sat for families ranging from dogs, cats, chickens, and fish. I’m looking forward to meeting your fur baby and creating a comfortable stress free environment while you’re away. I currently work part-time and it’s primarily remote with the occasional work event. Events typically run on the weekends for 4-5 hours. On Tuesdays and Thursdays I’m out of the house from 2-5pm. I’m an early riser and late sleeper with no issues on working around your animals schedule. I have 2 parks within walking distance and a back open berm behind my home. My backyard is fully fenced in and very spacious. I have the ability to crate your dog and allocate a feed and water area. I live on a quiet street and I have no worries with walking your animal multiple times a day or working around a specific feeding schedule.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Livermore
We love our kitty like a son and it's always hard when we have to leave him, but knowing that AnnMarie is with him takes all our worries away! She's so great with him and it's clear that he loves her and trusts her. We wouldn't trust him with anyone else! She's the absolute best!

Micheal is an outstanding pet sitter, and I feel incredibly lucky to have found him. He cared for my two cats throughout December while I was overseas and consistently went above and beyond during every visit. Although each drop-in was scheduled for 30 minutes, he regularly stayed close to an hour to make sure everything was done thoroughly and correctly. I use a non-standard litter box setup (crystal litter with a metal tray and layered liners), and he took the time to learn my system carefully. He was extremely thorough and meticulous when changing and maintaining the litter, which I truly appreciated since it’s different from what most pet owners use. He was attentive to every detail—cleaning and refilling the water system, maintaining the automatic feeder and litter box, vacuuming litter tracking, and ensuring my cats’ environment was safe and comfortable. When unexpected issues came up (such as water tipping over or my cats breaking into their feeder), he handled everything perfectly and even agreed to make an extra emergency visit to fix the problem. What really stood out was how much he genuinely cared. He offered thoughtful advice on pet-proofing my home and always communicated professionally and promptly. I had complete peace of mind knowing my cats were in such caring and capable hands. I would absolutely book him again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for exceptional cat care.

Christine took excellent care of my cat Seuss while I was away! She was communicative, reliable, and patient with him. I really appreciated the updates knowing he was in good hands while I was on my trip. I’d absolutely highly recommend Christine and will be using her again in the future, thank you!

Julie did a great job taking care of my cats while I was away. I really appreciated that she gave me updates with the Rover cards with reviews of each visit, which gave me piece of mind while away. Julie was a really good fit as a cat expert and had great experience to take care of my shy cats.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
