After meeting a few sitters, our dog immediately connected with Susan—and since Mochi only gives cuddles to very special people, I knew she was the one. We boarded Mochi with Susan for a few nights while we were away, and she was incredibly attentive to her needs. She took her on daily walks, played lots of ball with her—Mochi is a serious ball-aholic—and, most importantly, loved her like her own. She also sent updates and photos, which meant so much to us. At one point, I even joked that she shouldn’t spoil Mochi too much or she’d go into Susan withdrawal when she got home… and honestly, she did the next day! Susan is an absolute gem. About: I’ve had my black cat, Abraham, for 5 years and cared for him since he was about 4 months. This cat is quite shy, but he comes out of his shell for me. I used to volunteer at the Valley Humane Society for cat-care. I socialized with many cats and learned the standards. I am very observant and am able to successfully adapt my behavior to the temperament of the cat. I know a lot about cat body-language and try to perceive the interaction from their unique cat perspective in order to befriend. Abraham, my cat, could really use a friend! He is a bit of a scaredy-cat but non-aggressive (preferring to run away), neutered— by caring for other feline friends, I hope to show him that other cats are friends, and not to be feared :)

“Short review: Outstanding house sitter for our cats. He gave them his full attention, took care of basic necessities (food / water / litter), and played with them otherwise. Excellent and very quick communication as well. I was fairly confident this would go well after we met him. We went over everything all of our needs and he even asked several care taking questions. He's also very easy to work with schedules and will for the most part go out of his way to make sure your pet's are well taken care of. Communication was beyond excellent, I couldn't ask for better. Through the Rover app, he took probably the max number of photos of our cats, playing, cuddling, and just roaming around. I was re-assured out cats were happy (the way they were presented in the pictures) because of that. His Rover app communication is also very frequent, letting you know when he'll be over, using the built in features ("stay is active"), but he will also work with how often you would like to be notified in case you're in different time zones (like we were). He'll essentially respond in minutes as well.”

David grew up on a ranch, participated in 4-H caring for all kinds of animals and grew up with Golden Retrievers and horses (largest kind of dogs). Monisa grew up with, and dog sat Huskies. We have always been the dog sitter go to for family and friends and have cared for many furry friends over the past 40 years. We love being with dogs, treat them like family, give them lots of play time, affection, attention and care. We are empty nesters and Monisa is home nearly all day on weekdays, while David works full time at LLNL and is home nights and weekends. David is a dog whisperer and Monisa indulges by giving light touch doggie joint, back and head massages. We are currently in between dogs (Pomeranian) so your pup will receive extra attention and individualized companionship. BOARDING: 7 days a week. DAY CARE: 7 days a week (9:00 am – 5:00 pm) Both with 24-hour access to large backyard and personal front yard fire hydrant. 24-hour backyard access to healthy green lawn, sun, shade, birds, squirrels galore and a personal front yard fire hydrant for doggie neighborhood text line. Doggie door for most pups (<50 lbs.) and around the clock door service for larger pups. Allowed on furniture and bed access with parent permission. I work full time but I’m home by 4 PM each day, so I’m available for evening walks and boarding. On weekends, I’m always home and can dedicate even more time to caring for your pets. My flexible schedule allows me to provide personalized attention, especially on weekends. I live in an apartment with a small fenced patio where pets can safely roam and get fresh air. While I currently don’t have any pets of my own, I have plenty of space and a cozy environment to ensure your pet feels comfortable and cared for. If needed, I can also crate pets for added safety during their stay.
About: I’ve been around pets all my life. I’m very patient with them. I have a dog and two cats of my own. I’ve been apart of a TNR program and fostered many pets and I love it! I’m home a lot unless I need to run errands so it’s a perfect opportunity to take care of these babies and do something I love. Fenced yard, friendly pets that can be separated if need be. About: I’ve taken care of my cat for 5 years, volunteered 1 year at the Valley Humane Society for cat-care, and have taken care of my sisters, and friends dogs here-and-there. My cat is trained and knows how to sit, stand, twirl, lie down, jump, and give a paw. If I can train a cat, I can deal with your dog. My dog care experience is limited, but, this means I will just be even more cautious and will research the in’s and out’s of dog care like a detective in order to make sure I will get everything right. If you have any specific instructions, I will gladly listen and follow them to a tee. I am great at looking through the eyes of the pet, and adapting my behavior to specific personalities and temperaments. I am great with kids and am creative in the ways I play. My household has 3 adults, 1 senior, and 1 black cat. They will not assist with caretaking but may lightly interact with the pet. The house includes a backyard with a pool and tree-house. Tons of cat toys, cat tree, and a cat-proofed home. 1 huge window to the backyard, and 1 huge window to the front yard (the 2 cat-TV’s 📺), which is perfect for cats to watch the squirrels and birds frolick and the rain and leaves fall. My house is close to the Arroyo River trail, which is a perfect place for dog-walking. Your pet will be cared for, engaged, filled up with safe food, and all-set for a good nights sleep. I go to community college 15 minutes away from my house; and so will be home often. I will have time to take care of your pet after college hours. My home, cat: Your cat will first be placed into my room, and slowly introduced with my cat by scent. If it is clear that the cats are friendly with each other, I may introduce Abraham into the room if it is okay with the owner.* The cat will stay in this room for the night.* I will give the cats necessary space, avoid eye contact until they are comfortable, and will not pet unless they clearly are enjoying it. In the room, the cats will have its own bed, cat tree, litter box, tons of toys and safe spaces where it can retreat to. This room is cat-proofed (wires are hidden or wrapped with hard plastic; no places where it can escape, etc.) Your cat will be 100% safe with me, and will have a lot of fun! Your home, cat: I will interact with your cat in the same respectful way as above ^. I will obey the rules of your home and make sure that I know where the cat is. I am great at engaging even the most bored cats with play, and know how to make it exciting for them. My home, dog: Only small dogs and no overnight. I have a small cat at home, and a large dog will likely scare him. At my house, your dog will enjoy the company of 3 adults and will get to explore a backyard with a pool + tree house. The backyard is fenced, but has much shorter fences on the left-side aisle, and a tree that can be used to escape— so the pup will be leashed at all times or put in a crate (if you have a crate to provide, that would be great!) My house is very close to the Arroyo River trail, which is the perfect place for a dog walk. I will play with your pup like they are my own child! I am creative with the ways I play and try to show them new things. Your dog will be engaged with, fed safe food, supervised and set for a great nights sleep.
