“Allyson took such good care of Lucy while we were away which took away the stress and worry of leaving our fur baby alone. She gave us regular updates which we appreciated so much. We’ll definitely book Allyson again in the future!”

“Holly exceeded my expectation I had for a pet sitter. She arrived on time, immediately connected with Lily, and took the time to learn all about Lily's routine and preferences. Her questions showed how much she cared about providing the best possible experience for my dog. During her visit, Holly kept me updated with messages and photos, which gave me peace of mind. It was obvious that Lily was comfortable, happy, and received excellent care. Holly is professional, dependable, communicative, and genuinely loves animals. She has two dogs of her own. I feel fortunate to have found Holly and will absolutely book her again. I recommend her without reservation to anyone seeking exceptional care for their pet.”

“Anne took wonderful care of our two year old doodle Zion for 5 days. She is a great communicator which put us at ease while we vacationed, sending texts and videos to us. She kept Zion busy on walks and playing games with him. We will use Anne in the future!”

About: I grew up with two Golden Retrievers and learned to take care of them at a young age. I also have experience with pet sitting for neighbors and friends animals, whether that be staying at their homes or bringing pets into my own home. I love dogs so much and believe they deserve to be protected and respected just as humans are! I am a college student home for the summer, meaning I have tons of free-time to hangout with the pups. My routine is very simple and includes walking my own dog daily! I have a 3 bedroom home that also includes a fenced in backyard for your pup to play outside! I have a 10 year old Golden Retriever who gets along well with all breeds and is very mellow.
“Laura was absolutely amazing!!!! We have an older grumpy small dog who needs constant care and a younger large doodle who has a ton of energy. She was great with both of them! The old dog doesn’t like most people but he liked her. She took great care of them and we got many updates every day. It was such a relief to know that they were in good hands while we were gone. She took them on many walks, played and had lots of snuggles. I highly recommend Laura. Her care really is top notch”

“Amy came to our house and watched our cat and our dog. She gave us daily updates and pictures. She was very nice, and communicative which was so nice since it was our first time leaving our cat. We will definitely be using Amy again.”

“Amy is amazing!!! Our anxious dog loves her so much and that makes us feel so great when we leave town. I know that our dog is in the most caring hands. Amy is our go to whenever we travel because our dog says so!!”

About: I’ve dedicated years of my life to the care field. I have two years of experience in an assisted living home and I feel I bring a lot of skills I can apply when it comes to pet sitting including medication administration as I am currently a med-tech here. Along with my love for animals. I would love to combine the two. I’m open to incorporating dog walks, check ins, and even overnight house sitting to ensure your pet is safe loved and receiving the attention and care it deserves even when you’re not there. I care for pets as if they’re my own, ensuring the best quality of care for each one. I have no limit of love to share with any animal I encounter.
“Gloree was communicative, professional, friendly and personable. She got along great with my dogs which is no small feat because on of our dogs is aloof. She also kept our house clean. We will be using her again!”

“We couldn’t have asked for a better dog sitter! She took such wonderful care of our dogs while we were away on vacation for a week. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing they were in such loving and capable hands. She kept us updated, sent photos/videos, made sure they were happy and well cared for, and treated them like they were her own. We came home to two happy, relaxed dogs, and that says it all. We highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and trustworthy pet sitter. Thank you so much for taking such great care of our babies!”

“Rylie did a. wonderful job of dog sitting Chief, our 13 year old Boston Terrier. She stayed at our home for a long weekend, and sent us updates and pictures 2/day to share how the day was going and what activities she and Chief did each day. When she arrived early Friday am, Chief was so excited to see Rylie. She walked Chief each day, and spent a lot of time outdoors in our backyard relaxing and playing with toys on the grass. Rylie left our house spotless, and most importantly took great care of Chief. Thank you Rylie for your love of animals, for the care and love you gave Chief, and for being dependable and trustworthy to also take care of our home. We look forward to having you take care of Chief again Rylie!!”

“Kristi was an amazing sitter! This was my first time using Rover and she made me feel really comfortable leaving my furbaby for the weekend. She kept me updated with pictures at least five times a day. She was even kind enough to gift Luna a set of toys that she has yet to put down ever since. Thank you for leaving Luna with a smile Kristi!”

Rodrigo took care of my furry son Luke while I was out of town for three weeks. I knew from our Meet & Greet that he would be a great fit, and I wasn’t wrong. He kept in touch throughout my trip and sent me daily updates and pictures. I had complete peace of mind that Luke was in good hands while I was away. He was also super respectful of my apartment and left everything spotless. He even made a trip to the store to get Luke food when he was running low. Luke was calm and content when I got back home, and I know he misses Rodrigo already. :’) Thank you so much for taking care of my guy! I’ll definitely keep you in mind for future trips. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a sitter for their pets.

Kim was wonderful with our 14 year old Boston Terrier. He needs extra care, and medications throughout the day, and Kim did a great job of ensuring he had all his meds and meals. Kim was dependable, friendly and clearly a dog lover. Chief was so comfortable with her. She also sent us updates and pictures to let us know how he was doing. FAQs for House Sitting - Asco
Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Asco on Rover is $65.61 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 9,316 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Asco. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Asco walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Asco maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Asco choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Asco. On Rover:
- 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
