“Jenny was absolutely amazing. She came over for a meet and greet and brought both the cats and dogs treats. They instantly loved her. She is very responsive and very good with animals. My two dogs and two cats sat at the door after she left waiting for her to come back. She sends daily updates and took such great care of all of my four-legged kids. I would definitely recommend her to anyone who wants their animals to be well cared for. Thanks again Jenny!”

About: I've trained puppies in my younger years and understand the importance of consistency and play for your fur babies at all ages. My own pets are my family and I will care for yours like I care for my own. I'm part of the illustrious layoffs in the corporate world and looking to stay active while I search for my next career. I started on this app as a customer and now looking to bring my skills to other families. I like to treat pets as individuals and build trust with them at their own pace. I treat your home as I do my own and like to learn each pets unique personality and adapt my way of interacting accordingly.

About: I absolutely adore animals. I've grown up with dogs my entire life and currently have two cats at home. Previously experienced with caring for my senior dog who had CKD. I have a lot of experience with dogs and cats of different sizes and temperaments as I'm currently working as a vet assistant and studying to be an RVT. I recognize that every pet parent has their individualized way of caring for their pet and I strive to support that. Your furry kid means a lot and you should feel confident and comfortable with their care. I currently work 4 day weeks, 10 hours a day. I have three days throughout the week and nights after work that are available for walks, drop-in visits and pet sitting. I do my best to maintain a safe environment, staying aware of harmful materials, chemicals or products that a pet could get into. Removing or storing these items safely to avoid any negative exposure. Especially for young pets (and labs) that will eat anything.
“Highly recommend Kevin! He is so knowledgeable and incredibly attentive, really appreciate him sharing his observations and tips and tricks with Millie today. She was instantly comfortable with him. He did a wonderful job caring for her, keeping her engaged and also following our routines. We would definitely use Kevin in the future.”

About: Hi! My name is Renee, and my passion for animal care began with my rescue dog, Brownie. Over the past 3 years, I’ve gained hands-on experience caring for dogs, cats, and even goats & farm animals of all ages, temperaments, and care needs. I have experience with: • Puppies, senior dogs, kittens, and multi-pet households • Large dogs (80+ lbs) and working breeds • Rescue dogs and reactive dogs • Administering oral medications Some of my previous pet care experience includes: • Caring for a Shiba Inu requiring oral medication for 1.5 months • Dog sitting 4 dogs from the same household for 3 weeks • Caring for 2 cats and 1 kitten from the same household for 1 month • Walking, jogging and hiking with dogs • Volunteering with Furry Friends Rescue and Muttville Senior Dog Rescue I’m especially comfortable working with rescue and reactive dogs. My own dog has reactivity challenges, so I understand the importance of patience and picking up on body language before a reaction happens. While I’m not a certified trainer, I’m happy to reinforce any training methods or routines you already use with your dog. My approach to pet care is centered around respect for each animal’s individual personality and boundaries. I prioritize clear communication and provide frequent updates and photos so owners feel informed and reassured while they’re away. I love meeting new dogs and cats and learning about their quirks, and I hope to meet your furry friend(s) soon! I understand my profile is new, so I don’t have as many testimonials. I have done work exchanges in the past on Workaway and WWOOF, and have attached those reviews as screenshots. You can also request references from me. I will be fully available for the entire month of August 2026 for any of your pet care needs, including drop-ins, walks, and overnight care. I take the time to get to know each dog by asking lots of questions and observing their personality and play style. I love playing with dogs, my own dog often mistakes me for one because I match his energy! Working with reactive dogs has taught me that every dog has their own boundaries and unique personality. I never treat one dog the same as another and am always respectful of your pet’s limits.

Since Lucca passed in the spring, I have been looking to continue my love for caring for doggies, and I hope your pup will love me as much as I know I will love them! I love hanging both inside and outside, running around, or just chilling and providing belly rubs and nice meals! I have a wide range of availability in my schedule for your furry family members. Please let me know if I can provide one of my services! “Aurora was truly a gift having her dog-sit our precious girl Sadie. She was caring, responsive, gave many updates throughout the long weekend and made me feel at ease while I was away knowing that my dog was in good hands. Thank you Aurora. You are top on my list for future dog-sitting needs.”

About: THE go-to pet sitter within my community because of the care, attention, and genuine love I bring to every animal I look after. Friends, family, and clients consistently trust me with their pets because they know I will treat them with the same patience, respect, and attentiveness that I would my own. In addition to years of pet sitting, I have experience working with wild birds, horses, and wildlife through educational and conservation programs. These experiences have given me a deep appreciation for animal behavior and the many different ways animals communicate, build trust, and relate to the people around them in a respectful way. My professional background as a caregiver has also strengthened skills that translate naturally to pet care, including responsibility, observation, consistency, and the ability to respond thoughtfully to individual needs. I understand that every animal has a unique personality, comfort level, and routine, and I take the time to get to know them so they feel safe, supported, and cared for while you're away. Currently working part time, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of availability to provide attentive, reliable pet care. I’m available for house sitting, dog walks, cat care, and drop-in visits. I’m able to build pet care into my daily routine with plenty of time for walks, play, companionship, and making sure your pets feel comfortable and cared for while you’re away. I provide pet care exclusively in my clients’ homes, where I focus on maintaining each pet’s routine and creating a safe, comfortable environment while their humans are away. I have over 10 years of experience caring for animals, including cats, dogs, birds, and horses, and I have experience with anxious pets and shy cats. My approach is centered around patience, respect, and meeting each animal where they are. I’m a calm presence who understands that every pet has their own personality and comfort level. I allow pets the space they need while offering support, companionship, playtime, and enrichment when they’re ready. My goal is to help pets feel secure, cared for, and comfortable in their own home.

Kim is AMAZING! She took excellent care of our Jax. Based on the photos she sent, clearly, he was on vacation for the week too! She was VERY helpful around the house with my plants, taking care of the home, cleaning before we returned, and was very communicative. She was even willing to help with a family emergency while we were away. Jax is a very opinionated Pitbull; he gives her 5 STARS and is asking when she can come back. THANK YOU for everything, Kim!

Teresa walked my two dogs while I was away . I found her through Rover. She was extremely prompt when coming to a meet and greet. I knew right away that I liked her and that she was a good fit for my dogs. She sent photos and Apple Watch pictures of the distance and time of her walks. She played with the dogs and gave them snacks. I gave her a key to my house and she laws very respectful of my home. She responds right away and answered any concerns I had. I would definitely use her again

Emma was very professional and caring to our two dogs. She left our home very clean and tidy and most importantly my dogs were happy. She was very communicative and took good care of my dogs. This was our first time using Rover and I would definitely work with Emma again!

Rubi watched our fur babies (+fish) for two weeks and she did amazing! She asked all the right questions and put us at ease, since this was our first time leaving them this long. We received adorable photos and check ins. Our cats seemed to love her and we will definitely use here again for our trips. We highly recommend her for any pet sitting needs!

Erin is a wonderful house sitter. Our dog Dante absolutely loves her and her care is great. She gives Dante nice walks and lots and lots of attention in the back yard. She brought in the mail and kept the house in perfect shape. She sends beautiful photos daily. Dante was very sorry to see her leave at the end of the house sitting!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of August 2026, there are 9,264 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Kilkare Woods. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Kilkare Woods walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Kilkare Woods maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Kilkare Woods choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Kilkare Woods. On Rover:

- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
