She gave him exactly what he needed: plenty of walks, car rides, and thoughtful trips to places with people to safely help him face his fears. These were things I didn’t think we could—or even should—do yet, but she handled everything with such expertise and intuition. I even learned a lot from this little trip. About: Growing up, I always had a lot of love for animals and had many different pets from fishes, birds, guinea pig, and dogs. I had a toy poodle for 14 years before she passed and growing up as an only child, she was my best friend and more than a dog. Now, although I don’t have any pets of my own (eventually will!) About: I’ve taken the most care of my two dogs since 2013. I also frequently visit my friends’ homes and spend time with their pets as well. I’m currently on a gap year prior to commencing my Masters degree, so I have complete availability! I am gone from November 8-15 and December 12-January 14, though. I’m very kind and patient and will always keep your dog on a leash when we’re outside. I always make sure I keep doors closed so they can’t run away. About: I’ve always had a huge heart for animals since I was a kid. I treat pets as if they were my own and respect their space when needed. I’ve worked with different such as livestock (horses, goats, sheep, cows) and your typical domesticated pet. I currently don’t have any pets of my own, so having the opportunity to watch someone else’s pet brings me tremendous joy. I currently work full time at a vet hospital Tuesday-Saturdays so it is really nice to be able to come home after work to something warm and fluffy. While in a clients home I always check out the home first so I can feel comfortable and see all possible exits. For pets to gain my trust I always let them sniff me first and treat them as if they were mine. I give them space when they need it. I have high respect for an owners home as well and treat it as if it were my home.

He’s still young and was working through some anxiousness and fears of the unknown, and I honestly wasn’t sure how he would adjust while we were away. Over the six days he spent with her, his confidence transformed 100%. He went from whining and pacing to actually falling asleep on the short car ride home—a clear sign that the time he spent with Carolyn and the new habits she gently instilled helped him let go of so many worries. She gave him exactly what he needed: plenty of walks, car rides, and thoughtful trips to places with people to safely help him face his fears. These were things I didn’t think we could—or even should—do yet, but she handled everything with such expertise and intuition. I even learned a lot from this little trip. We’ve already decided she’s our primary caregiver whenever we’re out of town—maybe even for casual visits, because Maverick absolutely loved it there. Carolyn is amazing, and we’re so grateful to have found her.”

“Svetlana clearly loves cats and has a spacious apartment that’s great for them to explore. While it could help if they have a few more designated hiding spots, she was thoughtful in helping my cat settle in by finding a cozy spot in her closet, which my cat seems to really enjoy. She was great about sending videos in the first few days, I’d love to see more regular updates throughout the stay, which could make the experience even better. I also really appreciated how she worked with me to stay within my budget. Overall, I’m happy with her care and will definitely use her services again!”
