“Leonardo was great! He was very flexible with the timing as my plans were very volatile. He took the dogs on multiple walks throughout the day and even double checked their feeding and care instructions to make sure they were taken care of properly! He was great with communication and handled both of our high energy pups perfectly! I would definitely use him again!”

“Sierra was great! She responded quickly to my last minute booking and was super accommodating. She sent lots of pictures and videos and filled me in on Coco while I was on vacation. I would definitely recommend her to others!”

“Jennifer took great care of our cat while we were away with drop in visits. I was impressed with her questions and checklist on our meet and great and overall her proactive communication. She also took care of mail, packages etc to give us total peace of mind. I have already rebooked her!”

“Jiamin is the best pet sitter ever! One of the things I appreciated most was how much attention and affection Jiamin gave to my cat. On top of that, Jiamin wrote a River Card after every visit and included tons of pictures and videos. My cat looked like he was having an amazing time—honestly, even more fun than he usually has with me, lol. Jiamin also noticed that my cat might benefit from having more companionship. Because of that, I requested an additional last-minute visit, and Jiamin was kind enough to accommodate it. I could feel the care and affection in every visit, and my cat definitely loved Jiamin.”

About: I’ve worked in a dog’s hotel so I know all about how to take care of dogs, even many dogs at the same time. Also has been taking care of my cats ever since they were one month old all the way to adulthood. Weekends and weekdays afternoons would work best for me, own a car so I’m perfectly comfortable with taking dogs on walks and driving them around. I do have 2 cats in my house currently, so I’m more focused on caring for pets in my client’s house, also perfectly comfortable with taking dogs on walks.

“Athena was fantastic with my 2 kittens. They’re still a bit mischievous and she went above and beyond to make sure they remained safe while I was gone. She was very responsive and I would absolutely book with her again!”

“Elvira did drop ins on my two cats while I was away, they are shy cats but did come out to play with her which is a huge compliment. My extra cautious girl cat even allowed Elvira to pet her!”

“Stephen was absolutely amazing with my cat ! I booked Stephen last minute for 6 days . I am glad he was available. I could not have found a better sitter for my cat. He made sure to feed and refill my cat’s food and water while I was gone. He sent tons of pictures and very responsible in communicating with me over the Rover app! He checked in timely and was extremely professional, he spent a lot of time playing with my cat! I will definitely book him again”
“Omar is incredible with our little cat, Cosmo! Our boy loves him and Omar is very attentive and communicative, letting us know how his litter is looking, if he’s eating alright, and if he seems comfortable/playful as normal. We get tons of photos every day, and we’ve noticed the care Omar puts into being in our home, too! Cosmo always has a fresh pot of cat grass planted after visits with Omar, and we notice litter vacuuming as well. Above and beyond for us!! If we can help it, Omar will always be our go-to for care.”

“Zihan is amazing! She has the initiative to take care of my two cats and even my plants! She’s positive, passionate about the job and report timely for any abnormal situation. I enjoyed my holiday time and I will book her again!”

“Emily did such a great job taking care of our kitty while we are out, and we are so grateful of her. She followed all of our care instructions and was very attentive to our kitty’s well being. She was also communicative and sent lots of updates during each drop in, so we were able to have our peace of mind while she was there. Highly recommend to any cat owners!”

About: I have experience taking care of both big and small dog. My family has a large Swiss Shepard that I take care of along with a senior chihuahua. Whether your dog needs some play time at home to let the energy out or some enrichment on a walk, I can help with whatever your pup needs! I work hybrid remote during the week and am usually done working at 2, so I am available to walk/watch your pet after that. On the weekend I am more flexible and can help out either in the morning, afternoon or evening! As a pet owner, I understand how hard it is to leave your pet’s care in the hands of someone else. I will make sure to treat your pet in the same way I would treat my own.
About: I've trained puppies in my younger years and understand the importance of consistency and play for your fur babies at all ages. My own pets are my family and I will care for yours like I care for my own. I'm part of the illustrious layoffs in the corporate world and looking to stay active while I search for my next career. I started on this app as a customer and now looking to bring my skills to other families. I like to treat pets as individuals and build trust with them at their own pace. I treat your home as I do my own and like to learn each pets unique personality and adapt my way of interacting accordingly.

Sierra is amazing, as always! I’ve rebooked with her because she makes the entire experience so seamless. She genuinely enjoys spending time with the cats, takes wonderful care of them, and makes them feel loved. I could definitely tell the kittens missed her when I came home! She also went above and beyond, for example, the kittens had opened a box, and she thoughtfully closed and secured it. I’m so glad to have found someone as caring and dependable as Sierra. Highly recommend!
Both my cats love Mingjie, which shows what a good sitter she is (because one of my cats is super shy but he totally remembered her from 3 months ago!) She plays with my kitties so much and takes tons of photos! I no longer have to worry when I have to go away because I know my cats are in good hands!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Alviso. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
