About: Cats have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I'm the proud cat mom of Louie, who has been my companion for the past 15 years. During my time as a travel nurse, Louie and I spent eight years traveling the country together, which taught me a great deal about animal behavior, routines, and helping pets feel secure and comfortable. I'm a pediatric nurse by profession, so caring for others comes naturally to me. Friends describe me as dependable, patient, and nurturing—qualities that I bring to pet care as well. Although most of my experience comes from being a lifelong pet owner, I have also cared for friends' cats while they were away and understand how important it is to know your pets are in good hands. I especially love cats and understand their unique personalities, but I also grew up with a dog and enjoy spending time with dogs too. My goal is to make sure your pets feel safe, loved, and well cared for while you're away. Caring for animals is something I genuinely enjoy and make time for in my weekly routine. My current work schedule is flexible, which gives me the opportunity to provide reliable care, attention, and companionship to pets throughout the week. I understand how important consistency is, especially for cats, and I strive to keep pets comfortable and happy while their owners are away. I believe pets are happiest when their normal routine is maintained, so I take the time to learn each pet's specific needs, preferences, and schedule. In a client's home, I provide feeding, fresh water, litter box cleaning, walks (if applicable), playtime, affection, and companionship while ensuring your pet feels safe and comfortable in their familiar environment. I am also comfortable administering medications to both cats and dogs according to owner and veterinary instructions. As a pediatric nurse, I am attentive to details, patient, and experienced with following care plans carefully. I understand the importance of consistency and monitoring for changes in behavior, appetite, or overall well-being. Having owned cats my entire life and cared for my cat Louie for the past 15 years, I understand that every pet has a unique personality. Whether your pet is energetic and playful, senior and in need of extra attention, or shy and prefers a quieter approach, I will adapt my care to meet their individual needs. I will also provide regular updates and photos so you can feel confident that your pet is safe, comfortable, and well cared for while you're away. My goal is to care for every pet as if they were my own—with patience, compassion, and plenty of love.
About: I have grown up taking care of my family yellow lab Hobie since I was 10 years old, as well as dog walked/dog sat for friends and other families in my neighborhood. The age of the dog and any special care needed is not something I shy away from. Other Experience: - Dog walker with my sister when we were younger - house sitting with dogs I am currently home from college for the summer until September due to being on quarter system. I have open availability right now and am very flexible with scheduling needs. I live in a cul-de-sac back home, with a fenced backyard with grass, as well as a front yard where my dog can easily play, pee, or sunbathe during the Spring and Summer. I live next to downtown as well as multiple creek trails. Whether it’s going on walks with dogs or staying inside keeping cats company and time to socialize and play, are all environments I enjoy being in.
About: I’ve lived with dog for a long time. Give them a love and be patient to wait, trust each other is the best way for training. Sitting is available daily for small dogs since my dog is small one and typically good to stay with small dogs. Big dogs are not sure. I’m working from home, so stay with dog most of day. Go out for a walk at least twice a day and have a play time during lunch. That’s my routine.
“So grateful Stacey was able to watch our two cats while we were away. She was gentle and gave them the space to hide or feel their feelings when they first met, but while we were out she got our shy black cat to become her new best friend! Thanks again!”

About: I have experience caring for both dogs and cats of various sizes and temperaments, including large breeds like German Shepherds. I’m comfortable with daily routines such as feeding, walks, playtime, basic medication, and keeping pet areas clean. I am available in the mornings and evenings, sometimes could do afternoon playtime. I follow each pet’s individual routine and preferences and adjust timing as needed. I provide calm, reliable care in a safe, familiar environment for your pet, carefully following routines and instructions while keeping owners informed with regular updates.
“Candy took care of our cat while we were away in Japan for nine days. Even though I goofed the start/end date because of time changes, Candy was flexible and was sure to take care of my fur fattie on the days I needed. Candy sends photos every day and updates on your pet's health and behavior. Super reliable, recommended.”

About: Your pet’s comfort and safety are my priority. I’m dependable, attentive, and genuinely love animals. Whether it’s walks, feeding, playtime, or companionship, your pet will be in caring hands. I have a flexible schedule and can provide reliable pet care throughout the week, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends. I make time to ensure pets receive attention, walks, feeding, playtime, and loving companionship. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I follow each owner’s instructions carefully, maintain a clean and safe environment, provide regular updates, and make sure pets feel calm, secure, loved, and well cared for at all times.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Mountain View
Xiao is an incredible and highly responsible sitter! She recently watched my cat, Coco, and handled an unexpected accident on the sofa with absolute grace and professionalism. She cleaned it up thoroughly right away and communicated everything to me clearly, which I deeply appreciated. She also closely monitored Coco's routines to make sure she was doing well. Xiao is trustworthy, communicative, and truly cares about the pets she watches. I will absolutely hire her again and highly recommend her to anyone on Rover!
Caroline was so easy to communicate with throughout, helping set my mind at ease that my three cats were getting the care I had hoped for. She provided a lovely little summary and photos each day, allowing me to get a glimpse of how my furbabies were doing. She regularly administered medication to my one cat who has a digestive issues. She kept me updated when she vomited (an occasional issue) and cleaned it up. She followed my requests around opening a few windows during her visits, refilling a humidifier regularly for my one cat’s asthma or plugging in the AC the night before a hot day. I appreciated knowing my cats had such a reliable caring person to check in on them, play with them, give them the attention they wanted, and provide food and water. I would absolutely have Caroline care for my cats again!

I’m very grateful for Mica’s attentive and caring service while taking care of my kitties when I was away, including giving one of my cats their inhaler medication. She was reliable, kind, and thoughtful, and I definitely hope to continue having her help in the future.

Stacey is an amazing cat sitter! She has taken care of our cat, Mimosa, multiple times, and we always come back to her whenever we travel. She is incredibly responsible, reliable, and genuinely cares about the animals she looks after. It gives us so much peace of mind knowing Mimosa is in such good hands. We highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter!

Barbara is wonderful! She is a cat “whisperer “, and instantly made a connection with both of our cats the very first time she met them. She was very good with communicating and sending pictures, and even went above and beyond, watering our impatiens outside! We will absolutely use her again!!

Michael was amazing. He understood every ask I gave of him, even those that were conditional on what he saw at our house. He made sure to give my cat the full time, and never let her out of his sight while he was with her. I would happily book him again to take care of my cat

Yongzheng did a wonderful job with drop-visits for our kittens while we were away. Communication with her was great and easy, plus she added many cute videos/photos from the visits and took time to play with them and make sure they were doing well. Our young kittens (who have not yet met many people and are sometimes shy) seemed comfortable and happy with her, which was amazing!

Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Mountain View. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
