“My pup and I are SO THANKFUL for Samantha!!! She is trustworthy, punctual and really tuckers out my pup. My mind is at ease knowing Samantha is out with Waffle while I’m at work and my life is less stressful due to her doggy diligence. Thanks, Samantha!”

“Zhengjun is amazing! She’s very reliable and great with communication, always sending lots of photos and updates. My dog absolutely loves her. I’m so grateful for her extra care on rainy days, making sure my dog is clean and dry before heading back into his crate. Highly recommend her services to anyone looking for a thoughtful and caring walker!”

About: Hi, I’m a lifelong pet lover and proud dog parent to an amazing mixed-breed pup! Most recently, I have been fostering pups of all sizes and ages with the Humane Society in my area. I’ve been around animals my whole life and know just how important it is to find someone you can trust with your furry family member. When your dog stays with me, they’re treated like part of the family. I offer a safe, calm, and pet-friendly home with people (and a pup!) who truly enjoy the company of animals. Whether it’s a walk around the neighborhood, some playtime, or a cozy overnight stay, I aim to make your pet feel at ease and cared for. I am available full time to work with your schedule. My commitments are brief and I can flex around the needs of the pets in my care. I have a multi story home with lvp flooring that is very pet friendly. Your fur baby will have to climb 8 stairs (or I can assist them) to get to the main floor which is where we will hang out. I also have an enclosed patio, but most of our outdoor time will be outside at the park right next to my home.
“Great communicator. Willing to meet my dogs ahead of time. Followed directions great. Handled walking my very LARGE dog and medium sized dog. Took several photos. My dogs are happy and I am so happy with the service! Thanks again”
“Xi was one of the best dog walkers would could have asked for. She was kind, considerate and sent the best update photos of our pets while we were away. She very clearly loves animals and the next time we need a dog walker she will be a top choice.”

“Adrianna was amazing like always! She walked and fed our dogs Koda and Cleo and sent us great pictures and updates! Our dogs get excited to her and we will definitely be requesting her to walk our dogs again! :)”

About: I’ve had the joy of seeing my own dogs and cats grow from tiny puppies and kittens into beloved seniors (16+ years old), caring for them through every stage of their lives. I understand how much love and importance they hold in our families, and how deeply we cherish their companionship. What sets me apart is the heartfelt care and experience I bring. I’ve cared for pets of all ages, sizes, and personalities, and I’m comfortable with everything from energetic walks to gentle senior care. Whether it’s giving medications, providing extra patience with older pets, or simply showering them with love and attention, I treat every pet as if they were my own. It’s a true joy and privilege for me to look after these little four-legged angels while giving peace of mind to their families. Pet care is naturally part of my daily life. I make sure pets in my care get plenty of attention, walks, and companionship throughout the day. I’m very mindful of their routines, and I always prioritize their needs — from morning walks to afternoon playtime and everything in between. So they always feel safe, comfortable, and loved. Providing a calm and attentive environment is very important to me, and I treat every pet as if they were my own. When pets stay in my home, they are treated like family. I let them explore the space freely, relax on the couch, and even sleep with me if that’s what they’re used to, but I always make sure to follow the owner’s rules and preferences, whether the pet is staying at my home or I’m caring for them in their home. I want them to feel as comfortable and loved as they do at home. I live very close to a beautiful park with a dog park and walking trail, which is perfect for daily walks, playtime, and giving them a fun outdoor adventure.

About: I am a lifelong lover and owner of pets with over 25 years of experience. Having had companions, including several dogs, cats, birds, hamsters, and even a rabbit, I have a knack and love for caring for and playing with animals. I am a current fur dad as well to an Australian Shepherd and a rambunctious little Seal Point Bengal. By the way, if your dog isn’t prey driven, I don’t mind rollerblading them and helping them to get some exercise if that is an option! All of what I make here by the way is going towards my MBA degree at USC and continuous veterinary bills for my dog with prescriptions and dietary restrictions. Pet care occupies my time outside of my day job and it gives me an excuse to get outside, provides possibilities of having some company and socialization for my dog (she does especially well with puppies), and other opportunities to get out and be the excitement in or exercise opportunity for a fur baby or fur babies outside of my own. I usually give the animal space and time to feel me out, as well as the environment if they are in my home. I know that not all animals warm up right away and that it may take several visits for the animal to become comfortable with me - I am patient and perfectly fine with this.

About: I’ve cared for my 2 big babies for about 8 years now. At first I had only one dog, then she got pregnant and I helped deliver all her babies at home. We found homes for all of them, but we kept one. So now they are mother and daughter duo. I’m currently open to work from 10 am to 5 pm from Monday through Friday. Please consider me to take care of your fur baby when you’re away from home. At home I have two loving dogs that are freed to roam everywhere. They are friendly with people just not so much other fur babies.
“I booked dog walking with Wei from 7/12 to 7/21 for 10 days for my 6 year old golden retriever Eggsy, and she has been very professional, and also went out of her ways to help in some emergency situations where Eggsy had accidents inside the house when picked up, and helped cleaned up. She also provided timely feedback during her walk on her observations of how Eggsy was doing. It was really appreciated.”

About: I’m not just a sitter. I’m a dog lover who treats every pup like family. I’ve been caring for dogs my entire life. From puppyhood to senior pups, I have a lot of experience tailoring my care according to each dog’s personality, needs, and comfort zone.Whether it’s daily walks, playtime, or couch snuggles, I focus on creating routines that keep dogs engaged, healthy, and stress free. Over the years, I’ve gained experience helping dogs with separation anxiety, minor reactivity, and special medical needs (limited to administering oral and injectable medications). Open communication with pet parents is a priority for me. I provide frequent updates, including photos and videos, so you can see how your dog is doing. In order to dedicate myself completely to your pet’s care, play, and comfort, I only accept one dog at a time. However, for everyone’s comfort, I request that visiting pups get along with other dogs since my own dog, Bentley, will be part of their visit. As a full-time homemaker and dog mom, I am home all day and able to provide consistent, attentive care. Your dog will have my full attention for walks, playtime, rest, and anything else they need throughout the day. I don’t have a fenced yard, but I love taking dogs to trails and parks nearby for exercise, fun, and potty breaks. They can relax in a crate or snuggle with me on the couch/bed. Fresh filtered water is always available and treats are given as allowed.
“Omigosh, let me just say. I absolutely LOVED Laurelle! She met us for a meet and greet the weekend right before our trip and she was so loving and caring with our fur babies. I know that I am a helicopter paw parent, and I felt so comfortable and safe having her stop by and take our dogs for walks. I mentioned my fear of Minnie getting lose (she’s a crazy puppy) and she assured me she would be safe. And she went the extra mile to inform me that she had her heavy duty waist harness so there’s absolute no way she could get lose. She does a BEAUTIFUL, Summary of the walks and adds lots of pictures. She is my GO TO!”

Chiara did such an amazing job checking in on and walking our dog Wilbur! She thoroughly communicated how well the walks went and even did a whole photo shoot every time. Chiara went above and beyond to make sure his space was clean and comfortable, even taking time to play and hang out with him after walks. We would love to have Chiara walk Wilbur for any other future trips and would definitely recommend her for anyone looking for a responsible caregiver for their dogs!

Amy was very friendly with Casper and took him for long walks, connected with him beautifully and understood him. Casper enjoyed his walks and exploring with her and came back happy and tired. She was very kind to adjust her schedules to take care of Casper’s walks. Happy to book her again in future

Sarah was great with my senior dog Jimmy! She took such good care of him and made sure he got his walks and meals right on time. She’s super friendly, reliable, and you can tell she really cares about the dogs she watches. Jimmy warmed up to her right away. I’ll definitely be booking her again!

Anna is amazing with my baby Peppa! From the start, she was warm, reliable, and clearly has a natural connection with animals. Peppa absolutely adores his walks with Anna and always comes back happy and relaxed. We really appreciated the updates and photos she sent after the walk, it gave us peace of mind knowing Peppa was in such good hands. Highly recommend Anna to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring dog sitter!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
