Whether it's a drop-in visit, feeding, playtime, or a walk, you can count on me to treat your pets like they're my own.🥰🥰 Hi, I'm Sophia! 💜As a lifelong animal lover and dog and cat owner myself, I know how important it is to find someone you can truly trust with your furry family members. I understand that leaving your pet behind can be stressful, so my goal is to give you peace of mind while making sure your pet feels safe, loved, and happy. I have experience caring for dogs of different sizes, ages, and personalities, along with helping friend and family with their pets over the years. Whether your dog is energetic and loves long walks or prefers a slower pace and extra cuddles, I'm happy to match their routine and needs. I'm also comfortable caring for cats and other small pets during drop-in visits. About: I am a lifelong lover and owner of pets with over 25 years of experience. Having had companions, including several dogs, cats, birds, hamsters, and even a rabbit, I have a knack and love for caring for and playing with animals. I am a current fur dad as well to an Australian Shepherd and a rambunctious little Seal Point Bengal. By the way, if your dog isn’t prey driven, I don’t mind rollerblading them and helping them to get some exercise if that is an option! All of what I make here by the way is going towards my MBA degree at USC and continuous veterinary bills for my dog with prescriptions and dietary restrictions. Pet care occupies my time outside of my day job and it gives me an excuse to get outside, provides possibilities of having some company and socialization for my dog (she does especially well with puppies), and other opportunities to get out and be the excitement in or exercise opportunity for a fur baby or fur babies outside of my own. I usually give the animal space and time to feel me out, as well as the environment if they are in my home. I know that not all animals warm up right away and that it may take several visits for the animal to become comfortable with me - I am patient and perfectly fine with this.

About: I’ve cared for my 2 big babies for about 8 years now. At first I had only one dog, then she got pregnant and I helped deliver all her babies at home. We found homes for all of them, but we kept one. So now they are mother and daughter duo. I’m currently open to work from 10 am to 5 pm from Monday through Friday. Please consider me to take care of your fur baby when you’re away from home. At home I have two loving dogs that are freed to roam everywhere. They are friendly with people just not so much other fur babies.

About: I’ve had the joy of seeing my own dogs and cats grow from tiny puppies and kittens into beloved seniors (16+ years old), caring for them through every stage of their lives. I understand how much love and importance they hold in our families, and how deeply we cherish their companionship. What sets me apart is the heartfelt care and experience I bring. I’ve cared for pets of all ages, sizes, and personalities, and I’m comfortable with everything from energetic walks to gentle senior care. Whether it’s giving medications, providing extra patience with older pets, or simply showering them with love and attention, I treat every pet as if they were my own. It’s a true joy and privilege for me to look after these little four-legged angels while giving peace of mind to their families. Pet care is naturally part of my daily life. I make sure pets in my care get plenty of attention, walks, and companionship throughout the day. I’m very mindful of their routines, and I always prioritize their needs — from morning walks to afternoon playtime and everything in between. So they always feel safe, comfortable, and loved. Providing a calm and attentive environment is very important to me, and I treat every pet as if they were my own. When pets stay in my home, they are treated like family. I let them explore the space freely, relax on the couch, and even sleep with me if that’s what they’re used to, but I always make sure to follow the owner’s rules and preferences, whether the pet is staying at my home or I’m caring for them in their home. I want them to feel as comfortable and loved as they do at home. I live very close to a beautiful park with a dog park and walking trail, which is perfect for daily walks, playtime, and giving them a fun outdoor adventure.

About: I grew up with dogs and have experience with puppies, rescues, seniors, and anxious pets. I build trust through patience, positive reinforcement, and lots of love, making every pet feel safe and at home. I grew up with a black lab since the day I came home from the hospital. She was a black lab who lived til 14. She passed away playing fetch up northern Minnesota due to a heart attack playing fetch in the lake. She entered heaven doing her greatest love. There has always been peace to that. In 2020 I rescued Aspen. She is a Great Pyrenees, English mastiff, and laborador retriever. She saved my walks by allowing me to take her for two hour long walks a day at a nearby regional trail during the pandemic. I taught her how to swim, pray, shake, kiss, and potty. From the teething puppy stage to the nap loving 5 year old stage, I have adored witnessing her transition through it all. Though she rests hard, she plays harder. When I moved to San Jose with my partner, Lucy, my 11 year old Maltese joined the family. She is full of eye boogers, but even more full of love and warm cuddles she loves long walks up to even 4 miles. Aside from that, I quickly made a name for myself as a dog sitter in San Jose. Through connections, I have landed opportunities to watch one elderly and one 5 year old red lab overnight in Monterey, five other primary dogs in the east bay from a 1 year old rescue lab, to a shy and night loving cat, to a 3 year old rescued German Sheppard, to a highly intelligent greyhound, and a foster Samoyed turned adopted puppy who went from shy, severely underweight and timid, to strong, smiley, and full of chatter. I currently have a very flexible schedule, which allows me to provide dependable care throughout the week. Whether your pet needs midday walks, overnight stays, or extra companionship, I can easily adapt to their routine and give them the time, attention, and exercise they deserve. I maintain your pet’s routine with walks, feeding, playtime, cuddles, medications if needed, and personalized care. I’ll also keep your home tidy and send regular photo updates.

About: Hi, I’m a lifelong pet lover and proud dog parent to an amazing mixed-breed pup! Most recently, I have been fostering pups of all sizes and ages with the Humane Society in my area. I’ve been around animals my whole life and know just how important it is to find someone you can trust with your furry family member. When your dog stays with me, they’re treated like part of the family. I offer a safe, calm, and pet-friendly home with people (and a pup!) who truly enjoy the company of animals. Whether it’s a walk around the neighborhood, some playtime, or a cozy overnight stay, I aim to make your pet feel at ease and cared for. I am available full time to work with your schedule. My commitments are brief and I can flex around the needs of the pets in my care. I have a multi story home with lvp flooring that is very pet friendly. Your fur baby will have to climb 8 stairs (or I can assist them) to get to the main floor which is where we will hang out. I also have an enclosed patio, but most of our outdoor time will be outside at the park right next to my home.

I loved them dearly and always provided the absolute best care for them. I have done pet-sitting for my sister's German Shepherd and Terrier mix and my friend's Chihuahua mix. Just recently I boarded 2 wonderful Bulldogs at my house for 3 months while their Guardian was traveling for work and also had a lovely Old English Sheepdog stay with us as well as plenty others. At the moment, I have a 13 yr old female Bernese Mountain/Shepherd mix who we adopted and a 4 yr old male Chugle tripod rescue, so your pet will have nice playmates while they stay at our home. I also have a super cute rescue bunny! I have a 17 year old daughter who loves animals and is very respectful to them. I am very passionate about animals and I am an animal advocate, I do whatever I can to help and fight for animals. I sign petitions, write letters to decision makers, build awareness, etc. My future goal is to work in animal rescue or rehab one day, and to live on a small farm when I retire. We have a 1 story, 4 BD house w/a large fenced backyard and we are located a short walk away to a very nice neighborhood park. Feel free to contact me anytime to discuss your needs for your precious one :-) About this sitter: Born and raised in SJ Bay area. Some of my hobbies include animal advocacy, spending time with my family and friends, movies, traveling, cooking, sewing, coffee, Yoga, history, gardening, and shopping. I currently work part-time as a Sub Teacher a couple days a week, however I'm home most full days of the week and in the early afternoons on the other work days to spend time with your furry ones :-) I have a fenced yard and I keep pets inside the home, unless they want to play in the yard :-) I do use crates for the pets if I go out for an errand or something for their own safety. About: I always loved dogs since my childhood but couldn’t have one till 5 years ago. The pandemic time seemed the perfect time to get a puppy. I’ve a samoyed dog named Caesar whom we’ve had since he was 8 weeks old. Hence, I do have experience looking after puppies. I also have experience with house training and crate training, if necessary. Note: I won’t be accepting breeds like pitbull, huskies and german shepherds. I’m currently not working so I will be home all day to look after your fur baby. There might be occasional 1-2 hours that I might be out running errands but I will almost always be home. I’ve a fenced backyard and a very friendly 5-yr old dog. I also have a kid who is 3.5 years old, hence I would kindly request any potential client to make sure that your fur babies are friendly with other dogs and kids. If in doubt, please ping me before booking with me. I can give potty breaks as often as necessary and can also take them out on walks twice a day.

Omigosh, let me just say. I absolutely LOVED Laurelle! She met us for a meet and greet the weekend right before our trip and she was so loving and caring with our fur babies. I know that I am a helicopter paw parent, and I felt so comfortable and safe having her stop by and take our dogs for walks. I mentioned my fear of Minnie getting lose (she’s a crazy puppy) and she assured me she would be safe. And she went the extra mile to inform me that she had her heavy duty waist harness so there’s absolute no way she could get lose. She does a BEAUTIFUL, Summary of the walks and adds lots of pictures. She is my GO TO!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
