“Rachel was wonderful! Super responsible and really put my mind at ease while we were traveling. She kept great communication and sent daily photos and videos, which I really appreciated. She left the place spotless, and I would absolutely book her again and highly recommend her to anyone!”

“I'm extremely happy to have found Vanessa to watch my dogs. She has been a consistently great communicator, accommodated some of my schedule changes, and took great care of my Klondike and Yukon. I came home to two tired dogs and couldn't be happier!”

“Elizabeth did a wonderful job caring for our little dog, Coco. She connected well with Coco during our meet and greet. Coco is a bit shy and she warmed to Elizabeth immediately. While we were away, Elizabeth sent us updates of how the two of them were doing. She also took excellent care of our home — leaving things nicer than she found them! I would highly recommend her as a dog and house sitter. We are looking forward to having her back!”

“As a first time rover user i was pretty hesitant to use the app, but Tiana has ensured that i use it more going forward. She is prompt, shares lots of pet pics while im away, and i think my cat ended up missing her when i got back”

“Highly recommend Donna as both a dog and house sitter. My plants did better while I was gone than when I'm at home, the house was perfectly clean, and I got lots of sweet photos during our time away. Donna responds quickly to messages, shows up on time, and was willing to put in the time to get to know our reactive pup. So grateful to have found such a great dog sitter!”

“Tianyu was great! She was extremely responsive during her stay with our older dog, Otis, and provided great updates and photos/videos. She kept our house and backyard extra clean. We will book with her again in the future!”

“We booked Kristine as a house-sitter and dog-watcher for our 2 dogs. She did a great job taking care of them, sending us lots of pictures, and got them out of the house for walks a couple times a day. She took good care of our house. We will definitely book with Kristine again whenever we can!”

“Diane was great! We think she communicated just fine and kept things simple, which we like! We had Diane house sit our two pittie mixes and they loved her. She fed them and took care of them and sent updates and left the home as we left it. Will definitely rebook very soon! Thanks Diane!”

“Michelle is wonderful!!! She took care of both our pups while we were gone on a family vacation. She provided optimal care, snuggling with our babies and sent pics when out on walks!! She helped soothe my anxiety with prompt texts, I would absolutely recommend her again!!”

“This is the second time we used the housesitting service from Bryan. As a repeat customer, I can reassure you Bryan is the best sitter you can find on Rover. He and his mom makes the best team. Mochi looked happy when I came home and the house was so clean! I will definitely reach out to Bryan again when I need help. Thanks, Bryan!”

“Tatiana was a blessing! My husband and I had to travel to India due to a family emergency and Tatiana was literally our knight in shining armor! Super at communication and sent many updates throughout. She took Baloo to the beach and was even able to walk my anxious pup! She made sure that she put ear drops for Baloo every night. Baloo doesn’t eat and is very fussy when we are not in town, not only did he eat both meals with Tatiana, she even sent me a video of him bullying her into giving him more food! Thanks to Tatiana we were able to spend time with our family in India stress free! Highly highly recommended ♥️”

“As always, CJ is the best. Not only for how he takes care of our furry friend Simon, but also for keeping the house spotless and paying attention to all the details. We were away from home for 8 days and couldn't be more grateful. We love you CJ.🤗”

“Perfect house sitter/cat sitter. Elvira is a wonderful find. She Is communicative, understood and followed a five step feeding routine, and our kitty Loves her. She went above and beyond and we couldn’t be happier with her. Highly recommend!”

“Rendell is amazing. He is a great communicator and took stellar care of my pup on a very last minute booking. I will definitely track him down again the next time I need a sitter.”

“Ava was great! We had a longer trip and she kept us updated each day! She followed all our instructions, left our place clean, and we felt confident Lucie was well taken care of!”

“Maria stepped in at the last minute when my dog was ill and couldn’t go to her usual spot. She was attentive to all instructions and medication, sent me frequent photos and videos, and absolutely took great care of my English Bulldog. Absolutely will have her back again!”

“Lauren took great care of Simon while we were in our trip. This was our second time asking Lauren to take care of Simon. As always, she is the best. Not only for how she takes care of our furry friend Simon, but also for keeping the house spotless and paying attention to all the details. We were away for 22 days and couldn’t we more grateful. We love you Lauren.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Cupertino
Lauren was our first Rover experience and I couldn’t have asked for anyone better. She was extremely kind and reassuring, communicative before, during, and after her visit, and treated our dog like her own. I couldn’t believe how attentive and thorough she was with her care of Goober; she walked him, played with him, practiced some training (taught him a new trick!), gave him his meds, fed him, and made sure he was tired out. She also expertly handled his misbehavior, which I was very grateful for. She is stellar, and I hope she’ll be willing to come hang out with Goober again, because now he (and we) are spoiled!

Rachel was simply fantastic! She is super prepared, professional and communicative and we felt very comfortable leaving our two pups in her capable hands. She also treated our house responsibly and left it perfectly clean. We already have her rebooked to sit our pups for two more upcoming trips and there will be many more to come hopefully! Thank you Rachel!
Kristine did a great job with our GoldenDoodle and a friend's puppy. She showed up early, and did a great job in watching both dogs. One was pretty active and required a lot of attention as it was "play time". Kristine kept us informed throughout the evening with pictures of the pups and reassured us that all was well. We definitely recommend Kristine - she is mature, knowledgeable, and immediately bonded with the dogs.

Hannah was a wonderful sitter! We booked her last minute and it worked out really well. She came to our home to take care of our cat and her kittens. She communicated very well every day, sent several photos, and followed the instructions we left her. Our cats loved her! What I appreciated was that she did a meet and greet beforehand. The cats were cared for well and we’d love to have her sit again in the future.

Bruno and Chewie loved spending time with Brittney. She took loving care of them, gave them lots of pets and cuddles, took them on walks and helped Chewie get his medication too. She was very proactive in sending pictures and updates. I’ve never felt more at ease when I’ve been away, knowing that my babies were being cared for. Thank you Brittney, I hope we can book with you again.

Pierce was absolutely wonderful with our dogs, Eva Jolie, Chloe, and Simba. It was clear from the moment we got home that they were well cared for, comfortable, and happy during their stay. Eva Jolie, Chloe, and Simba all seemed relaxed, content, and received plenty of love and attention. Pierce kept us updated. It gave us tremendous peace of mind knowing they were in such caring hands. We would not hesitate to trust Pierce with our dogs again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a dependable pet caregiver.

Edison did an excellent job taking care of Koda in my home. I really appreciated that after getting to know Koda, he introduced him to a couple of his dogs and gave him some social experience. Edison understands different dog breeds and their personalities which allows him to provide personalized care.

Fantastic experience with Bryan and Reese. They are true professionals who excel at paying attention to every detail. They didn't just care for my dog's physical needs but truly loved her. What really set them apart was their talent for video creation. Instead of just standard updates, they sent beautifully edited videos of my dog set to music. It was such a thoughtful, high-quality touch that really captured my dog’s personality. If you’re looking for someone trustworthy who goes above and beyond creatively and professionally, this is the team to call.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Cupertino on Rover is $77.7 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of August 2026, there are 4,444 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Cupertino. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Cupertino walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Cupertino maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Cupertino choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
