“Stacey was awesome with Luffy during our short trip. Based on the many photos she sent us, it was obvious that he enjoyed her company. Highly recommend her for overnight stays.”

“Tianyu was great! She was extremely responsive during her stay with our older dog, Otis, and provided great updates and photos/videos. She kept our house and backyard extra clean. We will book with her again in the future!”

“Elizabeth stayed with my Pomeranians for most of November due to work travel and then a personal trip over Thanksgiving. I always hate being away from my pups, but after the first two short stays for my business trips, I felt really good about being far away for 10 days over Thanksgiving, knowing they were in good hands. As always, Elizabeth was communicative, responsive and I could really tell she was getting to know their personalities and quirks. She also sent really fun updates, with a bit of humor and witty writing, but even better, the stories she texted me about were spot on with how they behave as a little pack. In addition, after her stay, I was putting harnesses on them to go on a walk, I noticed that my 9 month old pup Evie, who always ran around crazy when it was walk time and wouldn’t let me put her harness on, was coming up to me to get her harness put on. So, not only did she take good care of them, she somehow got Evie to understand how to put her harness on, and that chase was not part of that process. I’ll be forever grateful for whatever magic she did to get Evie to want to put on her harness! I will absolutely use Elizabeth again and highly recommend her to stay with your pets while on vacation or business travel.”

“As a first time rover user i was pretty hesitant to use the app, but Tiana has ensured that i use it more going forward. She is prompt, shares lots of pet pics while im away, and i think my cat ended up missing her when i got back”

“Hannah went above and beyond caring for our dogs. She gave them lots of attention, sent an appropriate amount of pics/updates and left our house clean. Our dogs were calm and happy when we got back from our trip which is always a great sign!”

“My sister set her out-of-state wedding date eight weeks out, and we needed an overnight house/dog sitter for that weekend. Family wasn’t an option so we turned to Rover having had a previous good experience a few years ago with a boarding sitter. As soon as we met Courtney, we were put at ease. She listened to our questions and asked many of her own to make the time away seem less for our pups. She seemed comfortable and confident, and that’s the reassurance we needed to move forward with the booking. The photo updates were appreciated. She gave our chihuahua space to warm up as he can be more scared with strangers and by the second set of pictures she sent us, he was happily going for a walk with her. Both of our dogs were well taken care of, content when we got home, indoor and outdoor plants still thriving, and the house left clean. We look forward to booking Courtney again!!”

“This is my second time booking with Bri and would definitely love her to watch our babies again. She took great care of them while we were away for the weekend. The puppies and kitty were healthy and happy upon return.”

“Natalee is always great! She has stayed with our dog a few times now and I always feel comfortable knowing she's there. She's always communicative and flexible, and she took great care of our house, too! I'm grateful to have her!”

“Cassidy stayed in our home for a week with our four year-old golden retriever. We will definitely book her again. Excellent communication, followed all instructions to a T, kept our active dog out and about, and the house was spotless when we got home. Most importantly our pup was very happy the whole week she stayed with Cassidy!”

“Mia was great with my dogs, including the old and somewhat frail girl. She took great care of them, and they were happy and healthy when we got home. Definitely recommend Mia and would happily hire her again.”
“Amelia was absolutely wonderful and would 100% recommend! She took excellent care of our puppy, adult dog, and two cats and they were all having a great time when we got home.”

“Erika is professional, kind, responsible, and kept me updated on my pup while I was away. I had her stay at my home while I was away. She was clean and organized and make sure to send me pictures of my little guy. She was excellent and I highly recommend.”

“Devin went above and beyond, providing exceptional care for my fur babies while I was away. Their attention to detail and communication skills were top-notch. My cats were happy and well-cared for when I returned home. I will definitely be using their services again in the future.”

“Sarah is wonderful! She took great care of my cats, sent regular updates and photos, and made me feel completely at ease while I was away. My girls warmed up to her nicely and even snuggled with her which made me so happy to see how comfortable they were with her. I would definitely recommend Sarah and cannot thank her enough :)”

“Danyel was so patient with our anxious and quirky 2yr old rescue pup who isn’t great with change. She was prompt, conscientious and kept us updated with photos and videos on our pup’s wellbeing throughout our trip. Danyel is clearly experienced with all sorts of dogs and knew how to let our pup warm up to her and give him a bit of space to adjust to us being gone and trust her as his new caretaker. After just 2 days, he was playing, cuddling, and quite relaxed! She even began teaching him new commands to help with play like “drop it”. It was so nice to come back to a clean home and not have to worry, as Danyel had cleaned everything she used. We would definitely recommend her for house sitting your pets, especially if they are anxious or nervous, as she’s incredibly observant and patient.”

“Shannon did a fabulous job taking care of my dogs, cat and house! She was very communicative and shared pictures throughout the stay. All the animals were well cared for and happy when I returned and the house was left exactly as I had left it.”

“Mary was amazing! She dog sat at our home with our 35 lb frenchy-pit mix. She was with her for 4 days. She sent multiple pictures a day and helped a nervous fur-mama feel very comforted. She left the house immaculate! I feel so lucky to have found her. Thank you, Mary!!”

About: I love to play with dogs and help them feel comfortable in any situation. I also keep them clean and grooming. My old dog used to sleep with me on my bed. I don't mind if your dog would like to be that close to me, as long as they are clean enough. My dog was trained well and can understand many phrases. I am very patient and loving to animals. I know small dogs are mostly more anxious when they are in new environment, but I have successfully become familiar with my friend's dog Pookie very quickly. Pookie likes to bite people, but after 2 days of my sitting, he listens to what ever I say. I know how to teach a small dog.

Ava was so amazing with our three pets. She stayed in our home to watch our dog and two cats. I had never left our dog with anyone except family, so I was nervous going in. Ava was so wonderful with all three animals, and sent frequent updates so I didn’t have to worry if they were okay. She handled our stubborn dog and picky senior cats with so much patience and flexibility. Our time away went so smoothly because of how wonderful she was. We couldn’t recommend her more and will be booking her again the next time we go out of town!

Jamie was an outstanding dog sitter! She stayed at our home for four days and took exceptional care of our dog, Linda. From the moment we left, we had complete peace of mind knowing Linda was in such caring and capable hands. Jamie was reliable, punctual, and kept us updated regularly with thoughtful messages and photos, which made us feel connected and reassured throughout our trip. When we returned, Linda was happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for. Our home was also spotless—everything was clean, organized, and exactly as we had left it. We truly appreciated Jamie’s professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine love for animals. We wouldn’t hesitate to book her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, responsible, and caring pet sitter. Thank you, Jamie, for taking such wonderful care of Linda and our home!

Seva was amazing. This was the first time that we used Rover and had someone other than family take care of Chip. Chip is 17 years old and has anxiety when the family is not home. Seva took such good care of Chip and would send pictures and updates throughout her time with him. As we were off celebrating my daughter's wedding, it was great to know that Chip was well taken care of by Seva, who is very experienced with dogs especially older ones. It was one less thing for me to worry about. Thank you Seva!!

Etta was really great with the animals while we were gone on our trip! She cared for two dogs and two cats and even stepped up last minute for us! Everybody was happy, well cared for, and we got great updates and pictures! I hope she can take care of them next time we are gone!
We’re very picky and particular dog parents and we’re very thrilled to find Ryan! He and his wife Maria make a good team and we’re relieved that they can cover each other especially since our dog needs meds in the middle of the day. Ryan was super communicative, and followed all of our Barney’s routines to precision! We highly recommend Ryan and Maria!

Danyel went over and above all expectations. She not only took excellent care of our American Bully, she kept the house clean and plants watered while my husband and I were gone. Danyel also kept us informed and sent pictures several times a day. We definitely recommend her services.

Alison was super! Very responsive and clear in communications. Very good creating trust and comfort with all three pups... And the pups' owners! Our anxious dog, Emma, was soon sitting on Alison's lap. The dogs were so comfortable that they were relaxed and playing with each other in no time. Will definitely look up Alison for future sits.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Campbell walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Campbell maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Campbell choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
