About: Throughout my childhood I’ve been surrounded by animals of all kinds - dogs in particular. My family has always had at least one dog in our household and I’ve spent a combined three years volunteering, shadowing, and working at animal hospitals / clinics - learning how to meet the needs of every dog or cat I encounter. The passion I had as a child led me to pursue zoology. I recently graduated from Cal Poly Humboldt and while there I worked at the Humboldt Wildlife Care Center. It was here that I learned to confidently and humanely rehabilitate numerous critters. I’ve worked with everything from raccoons to seabirds! The experience I’ve collected throughout my life has left me confident in my ability to provide structured and comforting care to any cat, dog, or other critters you may have. About: I have personal experience helping to train and walking reactive smaller dogs who need a confident and kind leader. I will be attending a PhD program in Clinical Psychology starting this fall and know the importance of catering to each soul individually whether it is a person or pet. I also have experience with older dogs who struggle with neurological issues know how important it is to ensure that the owner as well as the pet have piece of mind in their pet care. I am currently unemployed while I prepare for graduate school, therefore I am available each day of the week and can make any schedule work for me! I am always happy to meet your pet at their crate or at the door, whatever is most comfortable for them! I love to play enrichment games with my pets that engage their mind and body in order to help their cognition. A simple one I play with my sisters miniature schnauzer is putting his food under paper plates on top of a towel and he has to figure out how to access his food and he loves it! I always think a simple game after a walk is such a great way to tire them out on multiple levels!
