“Shehann is truly wonderful! She is on time, friendly, and communicates the whole time she is walking my dog. My dog totally adores her and doesn’t want Shehann to leave when her walk is over. She takes several pictures throughout the walk and even got my dog to smile and sit for a fantastic photo (my new favorite). If you are lucky enough to get into her rotation, you won’t be disappointed. A++ for Shehann!!!”

“Since I've known Travis, I've seen him be so caring and compassionate towards his dog, Nimbus. His attentive and nurturing approach towards Nimbus is evident, showcasing their deep bond. In my experience, I have 2 reactive dogs (both chihuahuas) and upon meeting them, he was able to create a sense of security for my dogs. His years of experience as a pet caregiver shows in his ability to understand and soothe animals. My dogs rarely like strangers and he was great with them. Overall, if you are looking for someone to take good care of your pets, I would highly recommend Travis!”

19. Kelly L.
About: I am a California native, born and raised in Sunnyvale. While growing up, our family was heavily involved in rescue. My home was always the one people brought stray animals to because they knew we would happily care for them. I grew up bottle raising kittens, always understanding the importance of proper care and love. For 18 years I helped run our family pet supply store in Sunnyvale, For Other Living Things. During that time we were a neighborhood resource where people came for advice they knew they could trust. Through the store I worked with many different types of animals, grew my knowledge of dog training and pet care, and really solidified my commitment to fear-free interactions and giving animals choices in their day to day lives. In 2018 I moved to Louisville, Kentucky with my husband and our two dogs. While there I spent 5 years working at the Kentucky Humane Society where I learned so much more about fear-free animal handling, behavior, and how to help animals through trauma. I have a strong interest in helping animals with behavior challenges, animals that are fearful or shut down, or jumpy/mouthy teenage dogs. I have a strong desire to help people whose pets may have a few challenges. I know personally this can make finding a dog walker or caretaker you can trust quite difficult. Over the years I have lived with dogs that resource guard, are reactive to strangers or other dogs on leash, fearful dogs, and even dogs who live in the same home and don’t get along. I understand the difficulties (and importance) of keeping the animals safe, reducing stress, and helping to eliminate or avoid triggers for these behaviors. I am Fear Free Certified, licensed and bonded. I will treat you, your pet(s), and your home with care and respect. As part of my commitment to a Fear Free experience for your pet, I don’t use choke chains, pinch collars, or other aversive devices when working with your dog or cat. If these are tools you currently use, I’m happy to discuss alternatives for our walks! Caring for pets is my full-time focus. I mainly work Monday - Friday dog walking and doing drop in visits, but can occasionally do weekend drop ins when clients are on vacation. I am not always able to accommodate overnights, so please reach out with as much notice as possible if overnights are needed. When caring for your pets in your home, I try to keep to a routine and schedule as much as possible. I find the predictability helps animals better adjust to you not being there.
20. Jocelyne H.
“I am thrilled to share my heartfelt testimonial for Jocelyne, who has been an absolute godsend in caring for my beloved dog, Grizzly. Grizzly, who struggles with separation anxiety, found a second home with Jocelyne. Her compassionate approach and genuine love for animals mirror my own, and she treats Grizzly with the same tenderness and care that I do. Jocelyne's understanding of Grizzly's needs and her dedication to ensuring his comfort and well-being are truly remarkable. She goes above and beyond to create a nurturing environment, making sure Grizzly feels safe and loved in her care. Whether it's long walks, playtime, or simply providing comforting cuddles, Jocelyne consistently goes the extra mile to make sure Grizzly feels like a cherished member of her family. I am immensely grateful to have found Jocelyne, a caregiver who not only understands Grizzly's unique challenges but also treats him with the same affection and attention as I would. Her unwavering commitment to providing the best possible care for Grizzly has brought me immeasurable peace of mind knowing that he is in such capable and loving hands. I wholeheartedly recommend Jocelyne to anyone seeking a compassionate and dedicated caregiver for their furry family members.”
