“This was the first time I tried a pet sitter app. My family are my usual dog sitters but they were all unavailable. So I requested Leah because my sister in law told me about her. I was really nervous but my sister in law told me about Rover & Leah and how much my fur nephews loved it there. We had to go on an unexpected trip for a funeral and Leah took care of my girl, Callie & fur nephews. Week before I even dropped off Callie, Leah was responsive to my questions and kind & patient with me. She let me know to create instructions on how to care for Callie & was so sweet & appreciative when I gave her back a full “book” of instructions. She was very reassuring that she & her family would care for Callie really well. Once my husband & I dropped off Callie to Leah, we were given a warm and welcoming greeting. She was inviting and just gave a very calming energy. Her place was clean, full of toys dog safe. Her furniture & products she used felt dog friendly & like a perfect second home for Callie. I felt really good about leaving Callie with her. During the trip we received updates. If I found myself just missing Callie and decided to check in by messaging Leah through the app, she was so responsive!. I knew Leah & her family were giving Callie lots of love & care (made obvious by the pictures sent through rover app). I was able to focus on family during this trip knowing Callie was in great hands! I only left Callie with Leah for 2 nights but, after this experience I would trust Leah to care for Callie for week(s) if needed. In the future, and if need to find care for my dog again, I will hope and pray Leah is available the days I need. She was awesome!!”

About: Throughout my childhood I’ve been surrounded by animals of all kinds - dogs in particular. My family has always had at least one dog in our household and I’ve spent a combined three years volunteering, shadowing, and working at animal hospitals / clinics - learning how to meet the needs of every dog or cat I encounter. Clove is usually pretty shy and nervous around new people, but she actually felt comfortable with Hsuan-Chu and even warmed up to her, which meant a lot to us. About: I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life, which has shaped my understanding of their needs, routines, and personalities. I’ve always been involved in caring for my own family pets, including feeding, walking, and giving them consistent attention. Beyond that, I’ve pet sat overnight and walked dogs for neighbors, friends, family, and others. Through these experiences, I’ve developed a strong sense of responsibility and feel comfortable caring for dogs with a wide range of temperaments and energy levels. As a college student home for the summer, I have a flexible and open schedule, including weekdays and weekends, and I’m happy to help with last-minute needs. I’d love the chance to spend time with and care for your pets! When taking care of pets I like to keep things consistent with their usual routine by making sure they’re fed, have fresh water, get regular walks, and plenty of attention and love. “Meredith was the best dog-sitter we could've asked for! For the last 5 years, our two dogs (german short-haired pointer and cattle dog mix) have stayed with family when we traveled. Since our family would be attending our wedding it meant they wouldn't be able to watch the dogs, so it was a big deal for us to find and trust somebody new. We had a meet and greet with Meredith where it was immediately clear that watching our dogs would be her #1 priority while they were there, and my anxiety level noticeably decreased. Then leading up to the actual boarding dates, we had the perfect storm of doggie ailments... Our GSP ate a peach pit that had to be surgically removed a few weeks prior and our cattle dog mix had an arthritis flair-up that severely affected her appetite and limited her movement. Meredith didn't flinch when we told her our GSP was on the tail-end of healing from surgery or when we provided her with a hodge podge of different foods for our picky girl, just to make sure she would eat something. She also went above and beyond and picked up meat to cook and feed our pup when she wouldn't eat the other items and hand-fed her at times to ensure she was getting nutrition. It breaks my heart to see my dog not eating because of pain, and kills me even more to leave her in another's care like that, but Meredith was the best I could've asked for in our situation and did an excellent job taking care of both of them. Between our GSP's ENDLESS energy, and our fearful cattle dog mix that can be reactive, they can be a handful even when fully healthy! We are SO SO appreciative that Meredith took such great care of them and we'd absolutely have her watch them again!”
