“Pouneh is wonderful! From the beginning, she responded to my messages right away. We did an initial meet and greet at the local park. Nana immediately took to her and her daughters! I knew Nana would be happy and in good hands. Drop off and pick ups: I need to do an early drop off and it’s been super smooth. It’s easy to park in front and get Nana out safely and since we arranged that I send my ETA, Pouneh was already waiting outside ready to take her. Picking her up was also super easy. I texted ETA and she had everything ready with Nana. Again, parking was easy and available in front. Pouneh is very experienced and patient with dogs. She also has extra supplies like bowls, blankets, towels, leashes, etc., making it easier with less things to lug around. Nana looked so relaxed and happy when I picked her up that first day and each day since. I am happy to recommend Pouneh to anyone for doggie care and I will for sure rebook whenever I need an extra hand. Lastly, props to Rover as well. About: I have a wide range of experience from raising a puppy to handling reactive dogs. I’m good at basic obedience training and trick training. In fact many of my friends will come to me when she need advice on obedience training or dog calming methods. About: I have periodically taken care of a family members dog which also included home stays (two week maximum), outdoor adventures, and beach visits. Once the good boy is up from his name we will have lunch then follow up with an afternoon hike or a walk by the water to introduce him to new smells. About: Dogs have been an important part of my life for more than 30 years. I’ve raised and cared for dogs from puppyhood through their senior years, including two Labrador Retrievers and a Labradoodle. My second Labrador was a Guide Dog in training who ultimately left the program due to potential physical issues. After she passed away, I became a volunteer with a local Guide Dogs for the Blind puppy-raising club and am an authorized puppy sitter. They took great care of our pup Kiwi, who can be anxious and slow to warm up to people, and they understood that Kiwi needs to go at her own pace. Upon handoff, they immediately took her for a quick walk around the block which helped ease the transition, and by that evening, Kiwi was comfortable and asking for pets. Katie and Jason are quick to respond and kept us updated with both many adorable photos and brief recaps of walks or fun things that happened in the home. They accommodated our late pickup time with no fuss and had everything prepared: the bowls were washed and dried, and the blanket was folded. Highly recommend these two!
