I graduated from UC Davis with a degree in animal science where I gained extensive experience in handling and caring for animals such as dogs, cats, and even large farm animals. Much of my earliest animal handling was with cows and horses so no dog is too large. Over the last 4 years I have worked as a dog walker, socializer, foster, and vet assistant at local animal shelters. In this position, I was trained to handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments. I have experience with fearful/shy behavior, anxious dogs, high prey drives, high enrichment needs, dog and stanger reactive, strong pullers, resource guarding, senior dogs, and administering medications. I participate in regular dog handling and training classes at Pets in Need Animal Shelter. I am currently a dog walker, socializer, and matchmaker at Pets in Need Redwood City and work as a vet assistant at Pets in Need Palo Alto.

The dogs I have owned and fostered were anxious so I love providing enrichment and mental exercise in addition to physical exercise. I pay very close attention to a dog’s body language and practice consent petting with frequent check ins. I never want to overwhelm or overstimulate an animal and I am respectful of their space. I have cared for senior dogs and dogs with health problems so I can administer any medications necessary. I have great attention to detail and welcome any specific instructions and personal preferences of your pet. I will always strive to make your furry friend feel as comfortable as possible.

Schedule
I work part time so I have flexible availability during the week and have open weekends. Depending on my schedule, I can do longer dog sitting gigs.
