“Maya is a reliable and caring dog lover. She took great care in getting to know my shy dog and reassured me that my pet would be in good hands. I’ve gone ahead and booked her for much of May! Great experience.”

“Claudia was great, our dog just loved her. She was very responsive with communications, punctual, spent extra time with and cared for our old guy and took great photos. Will be working with her again!”
About: I have two years of daily, hands-on experience caring for my own dog, Kylie. She is energetic but can be shy in unfamiliar situations, so I have learned to read a dog’s body language, give them time to adjust, and build trust without forcing interaction. In addition to caring for Kylie, I regularly help care for my friends’ dogs when they are away. This has given me experience following different feeding, walking, playtime, and bathroom routines and caring for dogs with different personalities and energy levels. I am patient, attentive, and careful about following each owner’s instructions. I will treat your dog with the same care I give my own and provide regular photo and message updates while you are away. I currently have a flexible schedule, so I am able to plan my day around pet care and provide consistent attention rather than rushing between visits. I am generally available on weekdays for walks, drop-in visits, and house sitting. I can accommodate morning, afternoon, and evening care depending on the booking. I will confirm my availability before accepting each request and make sure I have enough time to follow your pet’s usual feeding, walking, playtime, and bathroom routine. I provide care in my client’s home, where pets can remain comfortable in their familiar environment. Before the booking, I prefer to have a meet and greet to learn about each pet’s personality, routine, care instructions, and any special needs. I carefully follow the owner’s directions for feeding, walks, playtime, and medication. I pay close attention when entering or leaving the home and always check that doors, windows, gates, leashes, and harnesses are secure. I will never let a pet off leash or introduce them to unfamiliar animals without the owner’s permission. I respect my client’s home, keep the pet’s space clean, and maintain their usual routine as closely as possible. I also provide regular photos and updates and will contact the owner promptly if I notice any unusual behavior or health concerns.
About: My family and I simply love dogs. We have a small 12lb dog for almost 10 years. Before that we had a 10lb chihuahua for about 10 years. Both are rescue dogs. I work from home most of the time, and routine is 2 walks per day, one in the morning before 9am and one in the evening before 9pm. We have a fenced yard, so the dogs can be in and out freely when we are home. I can also add additional walks if needed around noon. I also have 2 teenagers who also love dogs. Sometimes they help out taking care them and playing with them. Our home is spacious, lots of places for them to chill and relax.
“I would highly recommend Richard. I have a shy rescue who takes awhile warming up to new people and Richard was so considerate of her. He brought her a special treat, was conscious about wearing soft colors so he did not appear intimidating and followed my cues on how to interact with Joni. I have never seen her take to anyone so quickly. Richard is also very communicative, which I appreciate. I have already rebooked!”

“Cheryll is awesome. She truly cares about the dogs she walks. She gave my pups a great walk and was very responsive and followed my instructions perfectly. I will definitely use her again as a dog walker, and would highly recommend her to any dog parents out there.”

About: I have volunteered and helped cats at the Peninsula Humane Society since 2016. I have experience with socializing shy cats and kittens. I have also been a cat mom for the past two years and neighbors have asked me to watch their cats as well. I have experience with administering medication orally and through injections. I also have experience socializing, playing, and walking small to medium sized dogs! I currently live in San Bruno and work full-time in San Mateo so I will always be nearby for a visit to your pet. I am entirely free on weekends so I may be able to drop in for a visit earlier in the day. I am always diligent about following guidelines set aside for me. I understand that every household is different, so I do my very best to learn and adapt to any changes as needed.
“All I can say is that when you go on vacation and your a pet parent, the last thing you want is to worry about the well being of your dog. Well KATIE definitely gave me peace of mind and and allowed me to enjoy my vacation knowing that my dog Boris was in GREAT hands. After the meet and greet, I already had a sense of comfort because of her experience and super friendly demeanor. She also sent me pictures of Boris during walks and my family even told me that my dog can sense that she was close to come get him because he would start to act anxious and wait for her at the door. Knowing that truly solidifies her ability to love and care for your pet. If I ever need someone to walk/watch my dog(s) again, Katie will be my definite go to. THANK YOU KATIE! Oh...she also gave us a farewell dog toy and homemade chocolate chip cookies on her last day walking Boris. This is great customer service and definitely built a great rapport with my family and I.”

About: I am a physically active recent retiree and capable dog lover who recently lost my beloved Wheaten Terrier after 11 great years with him, so I'm well able to care for your very active or senior dog that might have special dietary or physical needs. I'm recently retired and home every day, so I have lots of time to care for your pet. Drop-off and pick-up very flexible every day and evening. Although we have a securely fenced and paved back yard, it contains a swimming pool, so we kept our own pet indoors or on our fenced in, covered deck/patio which is also secure. We have a large dog crate which our dog slept in every night, but this is flexible depending on your own dog's sleeping preferences. I do not let pets sleep on my bed. We live on a very quiet street with no 'through' traffic, so it's easy to walk your dog regularly without risking encounters with other pets. Our own dog was not comfortable around other dogs and this was easy for us to manage.
“Rochelle was great with my territorial dog for the first meeting. He acclimated to her quickly and we had a nice walk. He stopped barking quickly and was friendly with her which is a great sign. Looking forward to more walks!”

“Maria is amazing! She showed up in such a short notice to meet Snowy before I hire her. Then I went on my trip and she was always on time, and my pets were so happy with her. I would definitely hire her again, I highly recommend you to hire her, your pets will thank you 😊”

About: Hi! I’m Lindsey, a lifelong animal lover who understands how important it is to know your pet is in good hands when you’re away. I recently moved to the Bay Area and am excited to spend time caring for local pets through dog walks and drop-in visits. I have experience caring for dogs of various sizes and temperaments and am comfortable following specific routines, administering basic care, and making sure your pet gets the attention, exercise, and companionship they need. In my professional career, I’ve spent over 10 years in client-focused roles where reliability, communication, and attention to detail were essential. You can expect timely updates, plenty of photos, and the peace of mind that comes from knowing your pet is being cared for by someone dependable and attentive. Whether your dog needs a midday walk, a potty break, playtime, or simply some company while you’re away, I’d love to help. I look forward to meeting you and your pet! Pet care fits very naturally into my schedule. I am currently available most days of the week for dog walks and drop-in visits, with the exception of classes on Tuesday and Thursday. Outside of those class hours, I have a flexible schedule and can accommodate a variety of walk and visit times on a regular basis. I enjoy staying active and spending time with animals, so pet care is something I genuinely look forward to incorporating into my daily routine. I am committed to being reliable, communicative, and punctual, and I will always work with pet owners to ensure their pets receive consistent, attentive care. For dog walks, I provide safe, engaging exercise tailored to each dog’s needs while following the owner’s instructions regarding routes, pace, and any behavioral considerations. For drop-in visits, I follow each pet’s normal routine, including feeding, fresh water, potty breaks, playtime, and companionship as needed. I strive to keep pets comfortable and happy in their own environment while their owners are away. For all services, I prioritize safety, reliability, and communication, and I provide updates and photos after each visit.
“Winnie was exceptional in caring for my complicated chihuahuas and shy cat while I was away. Her thoughtfulness and dedication provided them with the companionship they craved, going far beyond what was expected. My pets were happy and well-cared for, and I’m incredibly grateful for her outstanding help. Highly recommend!”

About: Have volunteered at a cat shelter for six years with young and senior kitties, and have had puppies all my life! Very comfortable with the grouchiest or shyest of the bunch. I focus on socializing and enriching activities so that your kiddos can go straight to a nap after I leave. Happy to do some cleaning during my visit to keep things tidy. Laid off right now and apart from studying for a certification, I'm home and available for visits! My radius is set small so I should be a max ~10 min drive away, easy :-) When doing home visits it's important to me to show respect for you and your home while you're gone. Open to following any additional non-pet instructions to keep your home fresh!

About: I have my own dog, Kaeda who recently turned 7! My family & I adopted her when she was just months old, so I have experience with young puppies as well! I’ve also taken care of my friends and family’s dogs & have recent experience in house sitting cats. I loved all my experiences so much, I want to give back and offer it to my community as well! :) I currently work part-time Mon, Tues, Fri from 10-7 so those days would be a little different. I’d wake up at 8am to carry out my morning routine with my dog on the days I work. After work, I like to go out for walks with my own dog and play with her & her toys before ending my day. My off days would follow a similar schedule but with a lesser gap in the middle of the day which I would spend with my dog :) Depending on what a specific pet’s needs are, I can cater to being more or less active with them. Generally, I like keep my pet active throughout the day by going on walks / playing with toys / sunbathing and I give them space if needed. I also value cleanliness by always wiping my dog down before and after going outside or providing baths when needed.

I have years of experience caring for my own special-needs dog, which taught me how to handle medical routines with patience and care. Whether your dog enjoys active beach runs or a slower pace, I’ll adapt to their needs. Above all, I’ll make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. I work from home at my own schedule, so I have plenty of time to accomodate the needs of your dog. It will never be short on care, play, or cuddles. I have a 5 year-old husky mix who lives in our house with fenced yard. We live 20 min away from the beach, minutes from parks and many trails.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Millbrae
Catherine has been walking Charlie regularly for a month and he absolutely loves her. He’s a big boy who can pull, but she is very patient and kind with him. She sends the cutest pics and keeps us up to date on anything she thinks we need to know about his behavior on walks. We highly recommend her as a dog walker!

Hope was so easy to work with and Harper loved her! I could tell Harper enjoyed her time with Hope because on the second walk day she rushed to the door to greet Hope with her tail a wagging! On both days Harper was joyful and perfectly tired when she was returned. Hope was professional and friendly. I will hire Hope again in the future!

My dog and I have been so happy we found Perry. Perry does an amazing job walking, playing and monitoring Ocean. Ocean has. a chronic GI condition and also wants to eat anything he can get to in the house or on walks. I've had a hard time finding someone who can really care for my dog. Perry Is extremely talented at looking out for things Ocean can get at. He also does an excellent job of redirecting If my dog starts having episodes of leash reactivity. It is evident Perry has strong training taking care of dogs. I appreciate that he listens carefully to what the plan is when he drops in and the thorough report and pictures. Best of all, my dog is really happy whenever he sees Perry. I am extremely comfortable knowing Perry can take great care of my mischievous and often sick dog.
