About: What sets me apart is the genuine love and patience I have for every pet I care for. I treat them like my own, taking time to make sure they feel safe, happy, and comfortable. I’m great with all ages—from playful puppies who need guidance and fun, to senior pets who need a slower, gentle, and caring touch. I always adjust to their needs and personality. I also love keeping pet parents updated with photos and messages so you always know your furry baby is safe, loved, and in good hands. Taking care of pets fits easily into my daily routine because I truly enjoy spending time with animals. I love going on walks, playing, giving belly rubs and cuddles, and making sure every pet feels happy, safe, and loved. Caring for them never feels like work—it’s something I genuinely look forward to every day! I care for every pet like they’re part of my own family. I love getting to know their unique personalities and making sure they feel comfortable, safe, and loved while you’re away. Whether it’s going for walks, playing with their favorite toys, giving cuddles, sticking to their feeding routine, or just keeping them company, I’m happy to do whatever helps them feel at home. I also love sending photos and little updates so you can relax knowing your furry friend is happy and in good hands.

About: I’m patient, reliable, and really pay attention to what each pet needs. I’ve worked with puppies, senior dogs, and plenty of cats, and I can give basic medications when needed. I focus on keeping every pet safe, comfortable, and happy, and I always send updates so you know exactly how your furry friend is doing Pet care fits easily into my weekly routine. I’m available for visits and drop-ins most days, and I build my schedule around giving each pet the time and attention they need. About: I have several years of experience caring for pets for close friends and family, including dog boarding, dog walking, and house sitting. Through these experiences, I’ve learned how important it is to provide pets with consistent care, attention, and companionship while their owners are away. I’m comfortable with different routines and personalities, and I always strive to make pets feel safe, happy, and well cared for in my care. I am currently home from college and am open to working full time to play and hang out with your pups. I am available everyday after 11:00am. For boarding I am also available weekdays and weekends :) I have a fenced backyard with lots of space to roam around and play. My home is close to many parks and trails meaning lots of time for fetch and walks!

About: I have been an avid animal lover since I was a child. I would collect frogs, salamanders, and snakes then bring them home to show [scare] my family then safely return them to their homes. Beginning from the age of 6 or 7 I began riding horses. I was devoted to horseback riding for years which taught me a number of valuable skills on how to care for animals. In addition, to having multiple family pets including a rat and dogs', I had my own dog [Nala]. I loved, cared for, and nursed Nala through kidney disease which required administering scheduled medications and subcutaneous fluids. After recently loosing Nala, while I am not yet ready to get another pet, I would love to look after yours! Thank you for considering me to take care of your family member. I recently graduated with my master's in healthcare administration. I've been on a job hunt for a couple of months, and I have plenty of spare time. I decided to join Rover to take advantage of my love for animals and my free time by pet sitting! I have a flexible schedule with a minimal advanced notice. I have an enclosed yard and one 7-year-old friendly female husky who lives here. Depending on your pet's personality, preferences, and stay details your family member can stay here, or I will stay with them in your home.

About: Hi! I’m Rene — a part-time Nursing Assistant and part-time pet sitter with 10+ years of experience, and I’m almost always accompanied by my 28-lb dachshund mix, Eli, who loves helping me entertain other pups. We make a great duo for pets who enjoy company, playtime, or just having a buddy around. I’ve cared for puppies, seniors, shy pets, energetic breeds, and animals with special routines or medications. My nursing background makes me calm, attentive, and great at keeping pets on schedule and comfortable. I’ve worked with dogs, cats, small animals, and even some farm animals over the years. No matter the pet, I focus on helping them feel safe, loved, and understood. What sets me apart is my patience, communication, and the added comfort of having a friendly dog companion for pets who enjoy social time. Eli and I keep a calm cozy home environment, but we love to be active & go to nearby beaches, trails and parks in Pacifica. We treat every pet like part of our little pack! Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine since I work part-time as a Nursing Assistant and have a very flexible schedule. I’m home often, which allows me to give pets plenty of attention, walks, structured playtime, and consistent routines. I plan my shifts and errands around the pets I’m caring for so they always get reliable care without long gaps. As a part-time in-home Nursing Assistant, my schedule is very flexible- I’m home most days and build my schedule around Eli’s needs, so any pet staying with us fits right into that rhythm — lots of attention, play, and a predictable, loving routine!

About: I've had dogs my whole life ranging from a 105 pound Lab to a 9 pound Chihuahua. Family friends and acquaintances have relied on me time and time again to house sit and watch their dogs/cats. As a college student, I like to keep a structured schedule, making it easy to incorporate your pet's care into my daily routine. I have set blocks of time in the mornings, between classes, and in the evenings that I dedicate to feeding, walks, and check-ins. On weekends and lighter class days, I’m able to spend extra time on longer walks, playtime, or sitting stays. I stay organized and plan ahead, so pets always get consistent attention, exercise, and care. I prefer caring for pets in their own home because it keeps them comfortable, relaxed, and in a familiar routine. When I’m in a client’s home, I follow all instructions closely—feeding according to their schedule, refreshing water, providing potty breaks, walks, playtime, and any special care they need.

About: I have always enjoyed being around dogs and have taken care of dogs since I was 12 with my family golden retriever. I am used to walking, feeding, administering medicine, and caring for dogs. I’ve also had experience babysitting kids from ages 1-7. I’m kind, responsible, cautious and playful around kids and babies, so I know I’ll be a great fit with caring for your family pet. I am hoping to meet and assist new furry friends! I’m a Realtor in the San Francisco Bag Area, living in Pacifica. I will have meetings and days I go into the office however I can work from home most days. I would be happy to stop by your house to feed, walk, and play with your dog! My space does not allow dogs so I would be going into your space to take care of your dog! I have a golden retriever of 11 years and love to interact, play, and give love to any dogs!

Ivan stepped in to help walk our two large to giant sized dogs shortly after my husband had surgery, sometimes supporting after last minute notice. Ivan is a good communicator. He smoothly navigated our dogs’ different personalities and walking styles (and a talkative neighbor). Ivan was also conscious of how the recent heat wave may affect our dogs’ safety and offered potential solutions. Thank you, Ivan!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
