“Adrian was great! My dog loved him. He introduced his dog, Mocha, to mine because my dog loves to meet new dogs. They got along really well. He texted, sent photos, and even did a video of my dog on the walk. Really wonderful! I highly recommend Adrian.”

About: I’ve cared for my own two friendly cats, Ace and Olive, for years, and I regularly help friends and neighbors with their pets. I’m patient, gentle, and attentive to each animal’s unique personality. Whether a pet is social, shy, energetic, or calm, I always make sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable while their owners are away. I work on weekdays, but I’m fully available on Friday nights and throughout the entire weekend. This gives me plenty of time to focus on pets staying in my home. Your fur baby will get consistent attention, playtime, and care during their stay. Pets staying in my home will enjoy a clean, calm space with a fully fenced yard for safe outdoor time. I have two friendly boy cats, Ace and Olive, who are gentle and used to being around other pets. I follow all care instructions closely—feeding schedules, clean-up, treats, and comfort routines. I always prioritize safety, give regular updates, and make sure your pet feels relaxed, happy, and cared for while staying with me.
“Perry is amazing with my husky girl. She always seems very happy when I come home. He makes sure she has lots of fun, love and exercise even if it means a few extra minutes of his time. Highly recommend.”

About: I've been around animals my entire life and have always been comfortable caring for them. I grew up with cats and have experience feeding, playing with, and caring for them throughout my life. I've also helped neighbors by checking in on their pets while they were away. Although I don't have professional pet care experience yet, I'm responsible, patient, and committed to following each pet owner's instructions to make sure their pets feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for. I'm excited to provide loving care for both cats and dogs. I am currently a university student and have a very flexible schedule, especially during the summer months when I am not taking classes. This allows me plenty of availability throughout the week for pet care services. I can plan my day around visits, walks, check-ins, and can accommodate morning, afternoon, or evening care depending on the client's needs. Although I don't have formal professional experience in pet care, I've cared for cats my whole life and understand their behavior, needs, and comfort. As a full-time student, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide pets with the attention, exercise, playtime, and companionship they deserve. Whether it's sticking to their normal routine, giving medications, or simply spending quality time with them, I'm committed to making them feel safe, happy, and loved while you're away. When caring for pets in your home, I do my best to keep their routine as consistent as possible to help them feel comfortable and secure. I'll follow your instructions closely regarding feeding, walks, medications, and any special needs. As a Registered Veterinary Technician, I'm trained to recognize changes in a pet's health or behavior and will keep you updated if I have any concerns. I treat every home with respect, keeping it clean, secure, and exactly as I found it, while making sure your pets receive the same love and attention I would give my own.
About: I've loved dogs since I was a kid and had one for over 16 years. Puppies, adults, older ones, big, small I like them all! I am in between jobs so I have nothing better to do than take your dog on a walk (it would give us both something to do). Depends on the dog, if yours is outgoing it's easier to breakthrough. If they're a little shy I let them come to me and win them over with pets

About: I love to house sit for my friends and family who have pets and have been for a couple years. While I do not have any professional experience in pet training what I can say is that your dog will be happy and feel loved while in my care!! I am a college student with no other professional obligations who is looking for part time work doing something I love. I have ample time and would love to spend it with the your pups! I offer primarily dog walking so when I walk your dog, I will ensure your dogs safety around cars, people, etc. I also respect neighborhood homes and will clean after your pet.

About: I’ve had been caring for dogs since I was 8 years old. I would take care of family friend’s pets for when they go out of country or state for vacations. My grandmother is who introduced me to dog sitting when she’d take care of her boss’s dogs for months on end sometimes. And I would help around to either fed, play, or walk them. I have my own dog he is a mini pinscher and is 5 years old his names Milo. I’ve had him since I was 16 years old! I take him out on hikes, walks, and beach trips. I am a student at San Francisco State. And I’ve recently quit my job at an afterschool program to focus on the last year of my degree. So I thought I’d pick up a job that goes around my school schedule. I love and care for all dogs I see. I treat them how I’d treat my own dog. With love and respect. I love spending time with fur babies anytime I can.
About: Hello! My name is Luisa and I've been a loyal dog sitter for the past 4 years to a sweet Shih Tzu. I also own a Shih Tzu myself. I have a variety of experience working in others homes (housekeeping, child care and private chef). If you have a full time job and hate leaving your fur baby alone, you'll be out of town/overnight, or just need someone to check in for walks and food, I would love to help! I’m extremely open and flexible with my time, as long as there is enough notice. I babysit outside the home once a week and have an active healthy lifestyle (the more walking the better!) I have a large & safe fenced backyard. My home interior is well kept and always clean (hardwood floors throughout). I provide lots of care and attention (talking and petting!)

About: Hello! My name is Andi, I own a German Shepherd/Husky mix with lots of energy! I have experience walking, bathing, feeding, and training pets. I also have experience in de escalating situations and assessing when a pet is over stimulated. I am comfortable with dogs & cats of all sizes and more than willing to care for pets with special needs. Looking forward to meeting your fur babies! My schedule is currently very flexible. I have an SUV which can comfortably fit up to 3 dogs, making commute very easy. I prefer house sitting requests to be a few days in advance. I love spending time with animals and volunteering at shelters, I have taken care of many pets through the years. Not every animal is comfortable with strangers upon first meeting, which is absolutely something I have encountered and worked through. It is a joy to see pets come out of their shell as they become more comfortable around a new person. In addition to patience, I have experience in high stress situations and am a quick thinker due to this. I value strong communication and practice it daily.
About: Since I grew up with pets I love animals and love taking care of them. I’ve trained puppies and taught them little cute tricks. I know how pets feel whether they want to play or just relax. I can also tell if they needed a bathroom break. I am currently unemployed so I have a lot of time to take care of pets. I also love taking walks which is great for the pets. I have a spacious living space that can care for your pet and a very large yard area to walk them as well as for them to take their potty breaks. I live near parks as well.

Cheryl was awesome and I highly recommend her! She walked our two pups Hiro (Shiba Inu) and Tucson (Mini Australian Shepherd) for a week straight while we went on vacation and she was great. Even though we had a very reactive Mini Australian Shepherd she was still able to handle him with care. It was a last minute request too and she came through for us. Our dogs loved walking with her and we will continue to use her services. I highly recommend her very professional and communicates well. We felt our pups were in good hands. Thank you Cheryl!
This was Kim's first walk with Biscuit. Biscuit ran up to her when we met her. Even showed her the belly. We are working to build Biscuits trust and relationship with Kim prior to her sitting with her in September. She was very patient and kind with Biscuit even though Biscuit was quite stubborn and didn't want to go without me.

Thank you Celeste for always doing an amazing job! Im very happy and satisfied with Celeste’s services, she’s very caring and kind to my Princess :) I’m working most of the time & can’t walk Princess but luckily Celeste is there to help me by taking care of my baby, I recommend her to anyone looking for a very attentive dog sitter!

Marisela was wonderful! I was in town for a month for work and she was so helpful walking my dog regularly while I was in the office. She was very flexible and responsive, and I could tell she put a lot of care in what she does. My dog loved the walks and I really appreciated the frequent pictures and updates! I would highly recommend booking her for your needs.

This was our first time booking with Seng and she was absolutely amazing! We were in a situation where we needed help walking our dog for several days on short notice and Seng was very accommodating and scheduled a meet and greet for the following day. She was very warm, kind, and affectionate towards our dog and he loved her. She was always on time, communicated well, and sent great photo updates throughout the walk. We look forward to having Seng look after our dog again!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
