About: I love any kind of pets, they are like the best thing in the world. I have them a lot of patience and I’ll follow any instructions that you give me. I have some regular pets booking already, I’m at home most of the time but like to fix my day to do multiple walks in the day. I like to follow instructions and be as respectful as I can, I have fenced yard and I can give them two walks a day.
“K Zin is simply amazing! She was communicative, attentive, on time and she genuinely cared about our cat. We looked forward to reading the Rover cards and looking at the pictures she took every day. Will definitely book again!”

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong dog lover and proud dog parent who would love to care for your pup! 🐾 🐶 Experienced dog parent: I raised my own dog from 8 weeks old, and he’s now my happy and healthy 8-year-old bestie. I’ve been there through every stage of his life and understand the patience, attention, and care dogs need at different ages. ❤️ Years of hands-on experience: I also helped raise my family dog, who sadly passed away at age 10, and I regularly care for dogs belonging to friends and family when they travel—including stays lasting several weeks. 🐾 Comfortable with all kinds of dogs: I’ve cared for dogs ranging from 10-lb pups to 80-lb dogs and am happy to adapt to different breeds, personalities, energy levels, and routines. 🍼 Puppy experience: Comfortable with puppies who need frequent potty breaks, playtime, supervision, patience, and lots of attention. 🐕 Senior dog experience: I’m also comfortable caring for older dogs who may need shorter walks, more frequent bathroom breaks, a slower pace, or simply some extra love and companionship. 🏡 Flexible schedule: I have a very flexible schedule and can provide plenty of walks, potty breaks, playtime, and attention throughout the day. I’m able to spend quality time with your pup. 💕 I genuinely love dogs! I want your pup to feel safe, comfortable, happy, and cared for. Whether your pup needs a fun walk, a drop-in visit, some company while you’re away, or care in the comfort of their own home, I’d be happy to help! 🐾 I have a flexible schedule and can give your pup plenty of attention throughout the day! I’m able to accommodate regular walks, drop-in visits, and multiple potty breaks depending on your dog’s needs and routine. My goal is to make their day feel as comfortable and consistent as possible while you’re away. For drop-in visits, I’m happy to provide potty breaks, meals, fresh water, playtime, walks, and plenty of attention and affection. I can also follow any specific instructions you have for your dog’s routine. For dog walks, I’ll make sure your pup gets the exercise and enrichment that’s right for them. Whether they prefer a relaxed neighborhood stroll or a more active walk with a trip to the park, I’ll adjust the pace and length based on their age, energy level, and comfort.

“An excellent, trustworthy and go the extra mile pet sitter. Made sure my cats were happy, had some play time and most importantly, fed and litter kept clean. Would definitely recommend!!”

“Tiffany was great on her check in for our corgi and took him on a muchh needed walk mid dayy. Looking forward to having her stop by on a recurring basis. Would reccomend!”

“Rene did a fantastic job taking care of our cat! Based on the pictures, our cat really adored him. He was also easy to communicate with and very thoughtful, going above and beyond to see after some small thing in our home while we were gone. Highly recommend!”

“Sabina is awesome!!!! She was treating my puppy like one of her own and truly loved him for the time that she took cared of him. Very responsible and always thinks what’s the best for our pup!”

About: Hi! We’re a married couple living in a quiet, dog friendly neighborhood right across the street from a beautiful park, perfect for daily walks and sniffing adventures. Our home is spacious, clean, and calm, with a fully fenced backyard where pups can safely play, explore, or sunbathe to their heart’s content. We’re lifelong dog lovers with hands on experience. We cared for our sweet family Pomeranian for 13 wonderful years, and now regularly dog sit our nephew, a fluffy young Samoyed who keeps us on our toes and fills our hearts. We know how important it is to feel confident that your dog is safe, loved, and well cared for while you’re away. We’re great at sticking to routines and are happy to follow your dog’s schedule, whether it’s meal times, medication, walks, or bedtime rituals. Our top priority is making sure your pup feels comfortable, safe, and at ease, just like they would at home. Whether your dog is playful and energetic or a professional napper, we tailor our care to meet their needs. Expect plenty of affection, personalized attention, outdoor time, and regular updates while you’re gone. We’d love to welcome your dog into our home and give them a mini vacation of their own :) A dog fits into my life by making every day better morning walks get me moving, their goofy energy keeps me smiling, and cuddles are the perfect way to unwind after work. Plus, they’re the best excuse to step outside, enjoy the neighborhoods and parks, and just slow down for a bit. I provide personalized, loving care whether pets stay with me or I care for them in their own home. In my home, I create a safe, cozy environment with plenty of playtime, snuggles, and a routine tailored to their needs. For in home visits, I ensure their comfort by sticking to their usual schedule, keeping their space clean, and providing lots of attention and companionship. Whether it’s walks, meals, or just extra love, I treat every pet like family.

About: My family had cockapoo named Dobby growing up, and I’ve been dogsitting since moving away from home to get my dog fix! I’m looking to find more four legged friends in the area :) I was a local dogsitter in Austin for two years with regular families before moving to Denver. For my previous dog sitting positions, I’ll typically live and stay the night at the family’s home for weekends while they’re gone. I take their dog on walks and adventures to local hiking areas. At the end of the day the dog and I cuddle on the couch together! I’ll treat your dog like they’re a part of my family! I have a wide variety of experience with dogs of many different ages and breeds: puppies to senior dogs!
“Leanne is absolutely amazing! She’s not only great with my cat. And went extra foxing my broken auto little box despite that I’ve given up and said I’m coming home the next day anyway so no worries. But she did some research and fixed the damn litter box! Saved the day!”

“Rachel is a fantastic and top notch vet tech. Very communicative, detailed reports, and gave me valuable insights and feedback on Wendel's health while I was away. I definitely plan to work with her again. It was a huge blessing knowing Rachel was looking out for Wendel while we were away. I am incredibly thankful to have found her. Rachel has a huge heart and I knew felt so much better knowing she was looking after our senior dog while we were away. (See my 1st review on how wonderful she is for more information.)”

“Again, Perry did an amazing job walking my 2.5 year old American Eskimo. Ocean has a handful of special monitoring needs due to a chronic GI condition and his playful interest in exploring, if not trying to consume, anything. Perry is extremely conscienscious and is very alert to Ocean's behaviors. Perry is also wonderful at making sure my dog is properly back in his kennel area when he drops off and leaves. Ocean is also over the top happy and excited the moment he realizes Perry is coming to walk and play with him. Its been really wonderful and a relief to know I have Perry onboard to walk and care for my boy.”

I’m also an experienced side-groomer with my own dog, so I’m attentive to behavior, hygiene, routines, and individual needs. Your pup will get patient, reliable, loving care. I work part-time, so I have a flexible schedule and plenty of availability, including early mornings and weekends. I’m happy to discuss what works best for you and can commute by public transportation or bike. About: I've been around animals my entire life and have always been comfortable caring for them. I grew up with cats and have experience feeding, playing with, and caring for them throughout my life. I've also helped neighbors by checking in on their pets while they were away. Although I don't have professional pet care experience yet, I'm responsible, patient, and committed to following each pet owner's instructions to make sure their pets feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for. About: I’m a college student and a huge animal lover, and I’m actually hoping to get a dog of my own sometime in the future! I’ve always loved being around dogs and genuinely enjoy spending time with them. I love being outside, going on walks, and especially going to the beach, so having a dog along makes it even better. I’m comfortable with different personalities and energy levels, whether your dog loves long walks and adventures or would rather just hang out and get some attention. I’m patient, attentive, and will treat every pet I care for like they’re my own and make sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable while you’re away. Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Broadmoor
K Zin did a great job updating me on my cats while I was away. Jupie and Jasper seem to be comfortable and liked her when they met. This was a reassuring feeling leaving my cats to be in good care. Would definitely book again in the future whenever I need someone to look after my cats 😄

Lydia was a fantastic sitter! She gave me daily updates with multiple photos. I see my bunny Alistair was well taken care of and so were my plants! She even restocked my buns romaine lettuce when he ran out. It was very much appreciated! I would book with Lydia again when I need care for my bun!

Rachel is a fantastic cat sitter. She is very dependable which allowed me to enjoy 2 weeks of a worry free vacation. And she was willing to make an extra visit when needed. The fact that my reluctant cat warmed up to Rachel is saying something… I can’t say enough good things about Rachel other than that hiring her is doing yourself ( and your pet) a tremendous favor.
Maria was absolutely wonderful! She dropped by to check on my cats, cleaned out their litter boxes, and spent plenty of time giving them love and pets. She was super friendly, followed all care instructions, and kept me updated. Fantastic communication and care. I would love to hire her again and highly recommend her!

Rachel completed 2 drop in visits for us for EZ, our cat while we were out of town. She came over before the visits to meet EZ and get the lay of the land. Her communication was great and followed all of our instructions and needs. We really appreciated all of the pictures and thorough updates. We would definitely trust her to take care of our baby again!

Brooke took care of my two cats while I am away. She was able to give medicine to Seaweed and followed all the instructions. My other cat Cabbage is very shy but Brooke was able to get to know him and sending updates on him too. I recommend booking with Brooke!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet .
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
