“Rachel took great care of our cat, Ellie. She was punctual, communicative, and a lovely person overall! Ellie seems to be a big fan of her as well, as the photos we received showed her enjoying cuddles and playing :) We will definitely reach out to her again next time we leave town.”

About: I am huge dog lover! I’ve volunteered at my local dog shelter, ILoveFamilyDog, for 3+ years. There I was responsible for walking small and large dogs, cleaning kennels, washing dog bowls/ laundry, and picking up dog droppings. I also have experience dog sitting / walking for family and friends during my free time. During this time I was able to provide hygiene care by grooming the dogs, ensure timely meals 2-3 times a day, and apply appropriate medication following veterinary instructions. I would be able to do dog care or walk every weekday from 10 am - 5pm. My schedule is pretty flexible, so let me know what time and routine works best for you. I am available for house sitting and dog walking service. When dog boarding, I will provide the dog with appropriate meals and water throughout the day and take them out for regular walk (depending on their potty schedule). I will also make sure all toys, dishes and kennels are clean prior to my departure. Lastly making sure the dog has plenty of love and care throughout their stay! During walks, I will ensure your fluffy companion is leashed and not left outside unattended. Public cleanliness is also important, so I will clean up after any droppings or messes the dog makes during the walk. If you'd like care at your home, I will keep your place and pet clean before and after my visit and lock your place upon leaving.
“Allison was fantastic with our cat Harriet! We wanted Harriet to be kept company while we went on a trip, and she warmed up to Allison right away. Allison was punctual each visit, and kept us up to date with everything. Highly recommended!”

“Again, Perry did an amazing job walking my 2.5 year old American Eskimo. Ocean has a handful of special monitoring needs due to a chronic GI condition and his playful interest in exploring, if not trying to consume, anything. Perry is extremely conscienscious and is very alert to Ocean's behaviors. Perry is also wonderful at making sure my dog is properly back in his kennel area when he drops off and leaves. Ocean is also over the top happy and excited the moment he realizes Perry is coming to walk and play with him. Its been really wonderful and a relief to know I have Perry onboard to walk and care for my boy.”

“Sabina is awesome!!!! She was treating my puppy like one of her own and truly loved him for the time that she took cared of him. Very responsible and always thinks what’s the best for our pup!”

About: I've loved dogs since I was a kid and had one for over 16 years. Puppies, adults, older ones, big, small I like them all! I am in between jobs so I have nothing better to do than take your dog on a walk (it would give us both something to do). Depends on the dog, if yours is outgoing it's easier to breakthrough. If they're a little shy I let them come to me and win them over with pets
“Lydia has taken care of our kitties a few times now - we feel so lucky to have found her! One of our cats is usually very shy and Lydia has brought him out of his shell. We feel so much better about leaving him since Lydia goes above and beyond.”

“I'm so thrilled that my kitty Kato sees Arillia's strengths and warmth as a caregiver, which means he not only plays, cuddles, but also EATS (!) while I'm away. We're so lucky to have Arillia and the extra TLC she brings.”

“Shai did an amazing job sitting our disabled, elderly kitty! She followed our routine and Fiona loved her. Fiona doesn't love many people. Shai communicated well and send pics. We will definitely book with her again!”

This was our second time booking with Lydia and she was amazing with our cats. One of our cat requires oral medication and Lydia was able to administer it perfectly. She was very thorough and made sure to take multiple photos of the cats. We would definitely recommend Lydia!

Louise was absolutely wonderful! She stopped by three times a day to care for our senior dog, Pickles, while we were away, and she gave us so much peace of mind. We also have a young infant, so life has been a little chaotic, and Louise was incredibly kind, laid-back, and flexible with all of my questions and last-minute changes. She took such great care of Pickles, and it was clear he was in very good hands. We would absolutely recommend Louise and will definitely reach out to her again!

Olivia was very attentive and took great care of my cat and apartment! I really appreciated her check-ins and updates. Everything went smoothly and Olivia was super sweet and fantastic! Thank you for taking such good care of us :) And the note was adorable, thank you so much!

Wei was an awesome sitter for our two cats, even on short notice. We were gone for a week and came back to a clean apartment and happy kitties. Wei communicated great, followed instructions well, sent pics and videos, played with the cats, all that good stuff. Wei is very friendly and we trust her with our pets. We will definitely rebook with her for our next trip.
Blessy was great! Super communicative before, after and during the week she looked after my cat. She even did some light cleaning since the litter tends to track so I didn’t come home to cat litter everywhere. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a sitter!

Mary has been a life saver! I was displaced due to a fire and she was able to help board my 3 cats very last minute and was so accommodating. Truly a life saver. She’s now my go to for cat care! She goes above and beyond. If I could leave more than 5 stars I would! Thank you Mary!!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
