About: I have two years of daily, hands-on experience caring for my own dog, Kylie. She is energetic but can be shy in unfamiliar situations, so I have learned to read a dog’s body language, give them time to adjust, and build trust without forcing interaction. In addition to caring for Kylie, I regularly help care for my friends’ dogs when they are away. This has given me experience following different feeding, walking, playtime, and bathroom routines and caring for dogs with different personalities and energy levels. I am patient, attentive, and careful about following each owner’s instructions. I will treat your dog with the same care I give my own and provide regular photo and message updates while you are away. I currently have a flexible schedule, so I am able to plan my day around pet care and provide consistent attention rather than rushing between visits. I am generally available on weekdays for walks, drop-in visits, and house sitting. I can accommodate morning, afternoon, and evening care depending on the booking. I will confirm my availability before accepting each request and make sure I have enough time to follow your pet’s usual feeding, walking, playtime, and bathroom routine. I provide care in my client’s home, where pets can remain comfortable in their familiar environment. Before the booking, I prefer to have a meet and greet to learn about each pet’s personality, routine, care instructions, and any special needs. I carefully follow the owner’s directions for feeding, walks, playtime, and medication. I pay close attention when entering or leaving the home and always check that doors, windows, gates, leashes, and harnesses are secure. I will never let a pet off leash or introduce them to unfamiliar animals without the owner’s permission. I respect my client’s home, keep the pet’s space clean, and maintain their usual routine as closely as possible. I also provide regular photos and updates and will contact the owner promptly if I notice any unusual behavior or health concerns.

“Vanessa was very communicative around planning the visit and she was also very respectful of my cat’s boundaries around new people! She also was skilled in giving my cat her medication with minimal resistance haha. Thank you for taking care of her!”

“Blessy was great! Our cats really enjoyed her company and she followed instructions really well. Would love to book her again to take care of our kitties when we’re out of town”

About: My family and I simply love dogs. We have a small 12lb dog for almost 10 years. Before that we had a 10lb chihuahua for about 10 years. Both are rescue dogs. I work from home most of the time, and routine is 2 walks per day, one in the morning before 9am and one in the evening before 9pm. We have a fenced yard, so the dogs can be in and out freely when we are home. I can also add additional walks if needed around noon. I also have 2 teenagers who also love dogs. Sometimes they help out taking care them and playing with them. Our home is spacious, lots of places for them to chill and relax.
About: I’ve been caring for dogs for several years, regularly dog sitting for my sister, cousins, and friends since my early 20s. I’ve helped with feeding, walks, playtime, potty breaks, and keeping pets company while their families are away. I also have two cats of my own, so I understand that every animal has their own personality, routine, and needs. I’m responsible, patient, attentive, and will treat your pets with the same love and care I give my own. I work Monday through Friday from 7 AM to 4 PM, so I’m available for pet care in the evenings, after work, and throughout the weekends. I’m dependable and happy to work with your pet’s normal routine, whether they need a walk, a drop-in visit, playtime, feeding, or some extra attention while you’re away. When caring for your pet in your home, I make their safety, comfort, and routine my top priorities. I carefully follow your instructions for feeding, walks, medications, playtime, and anything else your pet may need. I’m respectful of your home and will make sure your pet receives plenty of attention, care, and companionship while you’re away. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages so you can have peace of mind.
“Jasmeen did a great job caring for my cat over a long weekend. I received regular updates and photos which was reassuring while I was away. Highly recommended. I would be delighted to work with her again anytime i travel.”

About: I've taken care of puppies and dogs, cats and guinea pigs. I've administered meds to those who've needed them, I am reliable and understand they are not just pets but a part of your family. I enjoy taking care of animals, interacting, playing, cuddling with all sorts of pets. Very responsible. Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Millbrae
Jasmeen was fantastic watching our cats during our extended trip. Since we’ve used her before, we already knew they’d be in great hands, and she went out of her way to accommodate our schedule. She is truly one of the best sitters on Rover, we couldn’t recommend her more!

It was our first time working with Sandra, but not the last! She was a pleasure to work with, and our cats loved her (especially our girl cat, she kept climbing on her shoulder!). Very irresponsible, plenty of pictures, and great communications. Thank you, Sandra!
Andrea did such an amazing job caring for my two senior, fussy kitties. She is friendly, progressional and kind. The updates she provided me during my trip helped me feel like they were in good hands and I didn’t have to worry. So glad to have found her and I would highly recommend her for any of your pets.

Outstanding! I cannot recommend Natalie highly enough. She looked after our cats for three weeks and each day gave them excellent care with detailed reports and photos. She outfoxed an invading ant colony, offered to do laundry where cats had sickup-ed, cleaned floors of accidents, brought extra treats, supplies and litter from home.

Hope was absolutely amazing with my fur babies. She made the whole experience very easy, especially since it was my first booking, using the app. She sent me updates and pictures and communicated everything. Would definitely book again she was the best and just amazing overall!
Yujie watched my two cats while I was away for almost 10 days, and I couldn't have asked for a better sitter. She was very communicative, sending updates and photos regularly, which gave me a lot of peace of mind while I was traveling. I would absolutely book with Yujie again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
