“Christine is very sweet, attentive, and meticulous to our two cats. She takes many pictures and writes detailed notes about the cats. We truly appreciate her and would recommend her to anyone who needs a cat sitter.”

“Maria was amazing! My cat Henri is an anxious kitty; Maria knew exactly what to do to make him feel comfortable and safe! She played extensively with my cat (even brought her own toy) and followed instructions closely. She clearly loves cats and her photos of my cat and visit description clearly displayed that! Maria was so flexible and receptive to a last minute booking I had and I am so appreciative of it. I will be booking again with her in the future!”

“Tricia was an absolute perfect fit for my dog, a Long haired-german shepherd that requires structure, a firm hand, mental stimulation, and cuddles. Tricha delivered it all, she was very communicative, and made sure to check-in with great updates, and asked questions to clarify anything. I trust her judgement completely, and she was great with Nala, delivering not just a dog walker and in-house sitter, but a great companion and teacher for Nala. If you're not sure if a sitter can handle your dog because they can be slightly reactive or need more attention, Tricia is the sitter for you!”

About: Hi, I’m Anna! I grew up helping raise my French Bulldog, and caring for him is what made me love dogs from such a young age. After losing him four years ago, I started helping friends and family by walking and caring for their dogs, and it’s become something I truly enjoy. I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your dog, so I always make sure every walk is safe, fun, and tailored to your pup’s needs and energy level. Whether your dog loves long walks, extra playtime, or a slower-paced stroll, I’m happy to give them lots of attention, care, and exercise while they’re with me. I genuinely love getting to know each dog’s personality and making sure they’re happy and comfortable. I’m a college student home for the summer, so I have a flexible schedule and plenty of time to dedicate to pet care. I enjoy staying active and spending time with animals, and I’m able to make walks, playtime, feeding, potty breaks, and companionship a consistent part of my daily routine. Whether caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home, I focus on creating a safe, comfortable, and stress-free environment. I follow each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, potty breaks, medications if needed, and giving them plenty of attention and care. I also make sure pets feel comfortable, keep their space clean, and provide regular updates to owners.

“We had a wonderful experience with Blessy and are more than happy to recommend her! She is incredibly knowledgeable about all things cat-related, and we felt completely at ease leaving our cats, Alex and Lulu, in her care. Blessy is communicative, reliable, and kept us updated with photos and videos throughout our trip, which gave us great peace of mind. She was also very flexible and accommodating, especially when our plans changed and we needed to add extra visits and adjust the dates and times. Most importantly, she took excellent care of our kitties, and it was clear they were happy and well looked after. She even taught one of cats to spin around for his treat!”

“Denise is fantastic! We have relied on Denise many times now and she consistently does a great job. She’s smart, great with and knowledgeable about pets, thinks outside the box, and reliable because of those reasons and more. I recently took a trip where I had little to no phone coverage, and I knew I could count on her to take care of any issues that arose if she was not able to reach me. I look forward to relying on Denise again.”

“Katie took wonderful care of our dog and two cats while we were away for a long weekend this past April. She was thoroughly professional, from her “meet the animals and owner” visit through the 3 days of care. You can tell she really loves animals and enjoys working with them. I will definitely use her again!”

“Zahudy was great. She was very attentive our dog, Oliver, and communicated in detail with us every step of the way. Oliver behaved as if we never left home and I think Zahudy played a major role in him doing so well.”

“Camille was absolutely wonderful! Her thoughtfulness and care while watching my sweet kitty Oliver was more than I could have asked for. She was attentive, asked all the right questions and took a ton of photos to share with me while I was away. I would 1000% book with her again. I felt really safe and secure having my fur baby in her hands. :) Thanks Camille! Couldn't have asked for better!”

About: My personal approach to dog care is grounded in genuine care for their well being. Working with my clients I provide prompt communication to ensure your dog is safe, happy, and healthy! Growing up my family had a beautiful 30lb dog that I helped care for from a puppy to old age. Being a part of this process has shown me how to support dogs in each stage of life from rambunctious puppies (structure, training and enrichment) to easing the aging process (special diet, new steps to climb onto the couch, shorter walks etc). Depending on the activity needs of your pup, I’m happy to provide daily walks or short runs (1-3 miles). I'm currently taking a gap year so I have plenty of time for your pups! I'm available weekdays and, with advance planning, can provide housesitting through weekends as well. I live in a single family home with three dogs. However, our family dogs like their space, and it is not available for dog boarding.
About: Hey there! I’ve been pet-sitting friends’ dogs and cats for years. I’m the person at the party that hangs out with your dog near the snacks 😄 Open to overnight stays and also walks/check ins, or local hikes if your pet wants a little adventure. I’m a healthcare admin professional, currently working a hybrid work-from-home schedule. I’m available mid-day through the evenings, and occasionally weekends for overnight stays as well! I am able to travel a bit to petsit your fur friend where they’ll be most comfortable. Can follow any rules you have for your pets, just let me know!
About: I’m a loving cat mom of 5+ years with a lifetime of experience caring for cats of all ages. I’m competent in simple dog training and am open to dog-sitting/walking, but cats are by far my specialty. I have proven experience building trust and bonding quickly with new cats, even those with behavioral issues or shy demeanors. I’m a teacher looking for extra summer work, so I’ll have plenty of time to care for your furry friends June-August! I can make up to 5 visits on weekends and 3 visits on select weekdays. I will be nannying part time and will be available before 2pm and after 6pm on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays. Please message me with any questions! I am soft, gentle and empathetic with all new pets I meet, especially when I’m entering their safe space! My cat was a mean, shy little boy when I adopted him at 7 months; but now at 5 years he’s happy and comfy as can be. I hope to provide this same experience for your pets, whether it be a short drop in or an overnight visit.
About: I’ve taken care of domestic animals since I was very young. Animals have always been part of my life, and I truly enjoy caring for them, pets are part of our daily routine. My daily routine already includes caring for dogs. I run a small mobile dog grooming business, so I am used to being around pets every day. I’m also used to taking care of animals since I was young, so feeding, walking, playing, and giving attention to pets fits very naturally into my routine. I live in an apartment, but my complex has a dog park and very dog-friendly spaces. Pets will always receive attention, supervision, and a calm environment. I make sure they are safe, comfortable, and follow the routine provided by the owner, including feeding, walks, playtime, and rest.

“Vanessa was very communicative around planning the visit and she was also very respectful of my cat’s boundaries around new people! She also was skilled in giving my cat her medication with minimal resistance haha. Thank you for taking care of her!”

About: I grew up with labs and lab mixes. I have trained dogs previously. I spent several years volunteering with Guide Dogs for the Blind. Animals have always been very comfortable with me. I respect their home. I treat their home as if it's my own. I respect their fur baby's space. I would never harm an animal, especially one that's part of the family.

Hope was absolutely amazing with my fur babies. She made the whole experience very easy, especially since it was my first booking, using the app. She sent me updates and pictures and communicated everything. Would definitely book again she was the best and just amazing overall!
Gina was great with my cat who warmed up really quickly to her. She is very friendly and has the patience to allow pets to get familiar with her. She made sure my cat was getting the care and playtime needed during the 4 days we were out of state. I highly recommend booking with her to watch your pets.

Yujie watched my two cats while I was away for almost 10 days, and I couldn't have asked for a better sitter. She was very communicative, sending updates and photos regularly, which gave me a lot of peace of mind while I was traveling. I would absolutely book with Yujie again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy

Reanne was great with my two cats! She spent a lot of time playing and engaging with the brave one, and gave the shy one the space he needed to come out on his own terms. She also sent me lots of updates and photos. I felt very secure knowing she was taking such good care of them. Highly recommend!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
