“Caroline is a true pro. She's always on time, is a great communicator, comes prepared, leaves the house in perfect condition, keeps me updated and takes amazing care of Gracie. Have booked her twice and will definitely book her again!”

“I cannot emphasize enough how far above and beyond Sydney went for my dog Tink. Tink has a lot of trauma from an abusive past, and getting comfortable with new people is very very hard for her, especially in her old age. I needed a sitter for four nights, and I didn’t have anyone Tink was already comfortable with, so I was very worried about finding someone. Over the few weeks prior to my leaving, Sydney met with me two separate times for meet-and-greets (one in public, one at my house); she also was very flexible and willing to do a number of drop-in visits that started with me present, then I left, for purposes of getting Tink comfortable with her in the house. By the time I left for my trip, Tink was comfortable enough with her that I actually wasn’t even worried about leaving my baby—and by the time I got back, she and Tink were actually bonded. Tink went from barking and snapping at Sydney on day one to face kisses and asking for belly rubs, and that is all due to Sydney’s commitment, responsibility, and genuine care for animals. I would (and will, if need arises) trust her 100% to watch Tink or any of my other animals again. 15/10!!”

“Alia was amazing! We had to book a last minute sitter and Alia was very responsive. She's super patient and attentive with our senior dog. Absolutely loved her! Thanks Alia! 🐶”

“Ann is awesome! I’m always so grateful to have her watching my sweet Aspire! She is super communicative and I loved having all of the photos and videos of my cat.”

“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Josh was an absolute gem of a cat sitter! From our initial video chat, I knew Dennis (my recently adopted ex-street cat) would be in good hands. Josh came to the meet & greet fully prepared and even managed to get Dennis to come out from under the bed—no small feat for a cat who spent 8+ years on the streets! 😸 He sent updates, photos, and thoughtful messages each visit, which really helped ease my first-time Rover nerves. He even met me after to return my keys and parking pass—above and beyond. Josh has great energy, and Dennis clearly approved (which says everything). Highly recommend—your pets will be in caring, capable hands. Will definitely book again!”

“This was our first time using Rover and we were so happy by choosing Casey. He immediately wanted to schedule a "meet and greet" at the house so the dogs can be comfortable. Soon after, we left for our wedding and our babies were in his hands. We were worried at first, but Casey reassured us instantly with photos of the doggies loving life. He always checked in with us, and sent us photos. We had such a great experience with him and Rover. I recommend Casey for any dog child owner in the area. His knowledge, attitude, and comfortability is reassuring :D Thank you so much! -The Rileys”

“Caroline was a lifesaver! The thought of leaving our kitty at home with a stranger for 16 days was nerve-wracking, to say the least! Thankfully, we found Caroline, and she took the anxiety out of the equation. She took care to follow out instructions and maintain Tatsu's kitty routine with minimal disruption. In addition, Caroline gave regular updates and communicated in detail about how things were going. It was clear from her communication that Tatsu had settled in well with her new caregiver. When we returned home, we found a healthy and content little cat and a spotless home. We are deeply grateful for Caroline's cat sitting and would highly recommend her for anyone seeking a reliable and thoughtful pet sitter.”

“I highly recommend Cheryll, she stayed at my house over Christmas and gave a lot of love to my two dogs. She kept me updated and sent pictures of them every day. I’ll definitely book her again.”

“Lucy has been extremely thoughtful and considerate taking care of Nala - she’s gone out of her way to make sure she understands everything Nala needs and takes amazing care of her and of the apartment. Thank you!!”

“Lisa was exceptional with our dog and as a house sitter generally. We have a miniature pincher who is a total sweetheart once you get to know him, but our dog has pretty significant fear aggression problems (he is a rescue and we are working on it). We were especially nervous to leave our furry friend alone with a stranger and were concerned about how he would be handled. Lisa took the time to ask the right questions and made multiple visits to our home ahead of time to get to know our dog and have him become comfortable and trust her; She walked him and even had a joint session with our dog trainer in order to understand our doggy’s quirks and needs. And it worked! He absolutely ADORES her. It felt very reassuring to have Lisa pay such personal attention to Oliver’s unique needs and anxieties. On top of that, she cooked for him too! (Following doggy diet restrictions of course) Lisa was very communicative while we were away, updating us regularly on the household and was great with our other animals too. (We have 2 rats and a red eared slider turtle) She made sure they were all fed and well taken care of. Additionally, she gave them all special meals for Christmas. The house was in great condition when we returned home and all of our animals seemed happy and content. We are incredibly appreciative of the clear effort and care she provided for our family, and we have every intention of booking her again. We really can’t recommend Lisa enough!”

“Madison was great, would definitely love to work with her again!”

About: Hi my name is Samantha (aka Sam/Sammi) and I LOVE animals. I am currently flexible and open to all of your pet needs. While I am new here on Rover, I am not new to pet care and pet sitting. I have pet sat for various friends and people in the community using Nextdoor and Hillsborough Together. I even had a local pet grooming business going in high school. Moreover, I have worked with well-known dog trainers such as, Mike Wombacher and Shay Yuval. Working with these trainers taught me the importance of reading a dog's body language to not only make the dog do what you want obedience-wise, but also so that they can feel safe and understood. In fact, I learned that a dog's body language has a direct correlation to their emotional state. And being aware of your dog's cues will help me ensure that I can prevent them from being stressed or anxious while you are away, foster trust, and identify their needs (hunger, wanting to play, needing to go outside, etc.). I also am proficient teaching dogs the basic training commands including sit, stay, shake, down, come, wait, and heal. Overall, I understand that the most important thing is keeping your fur baby safe and happy. Currently I am very open and flexible for whatever your pet need may be. My schedule is free as of right now and ready for you pet! For dogs that have more energy and require more room to run or socialize, I have a big car and am able to take your pet to the beach, local park, dog park, or on a hike.

Samantha G.

“I have known Samantha, or Sammi, for about eleven years. I have watched her discover her gift of versatility through raising her childhood dog, Buster, to now raising her own cat, Rajah. I saw Buster spark Sammi's passion for animals at a young age. When she has a task, job, or even just a newly-found interest, Sammi is not only dedicated but extremely determined to perform as best as she possibly can; she is someone who will not rest until something is done the right way, as she sets very high standards for herself. Over the years, Sammi has taught herself an abundance of skills ranging from high-level dog training, to the art of dog grooming. I have a Staffordshire Terrier mix, Sadie, that I rescued some years back. She is a sweet girl, but she can be unpredictable in public as she tends to be reactive towards most dogs. Sadie is extremely strong; she is not an easy one to handle in public. There are very few people that I trust to be alone with/caring for Sadie if I am away; it is not worth it to me to risk the chance of something happening with her/to her. With that being said, Sammi is one of those few people. To be honest, she might be better at handling Sadie than me at times. She helped me train Sadie when I first adopted her and still continues to give me tips and tricks when I reach out for guidance. Sammi is the person who can be trusted to keep your pet(s) safe, happy, and entertained when you are gone, leaving you comfortable and stress-free. I personally understand how difficult and worrisome it can be to have another person care for your pets, but I can confidently say that Sammi is someone that you can trust to provide the best service and care for your pets; she will treat them as she would her own. I cannot recommend Sammi enough to be the person you rely on to provide any service for your pets; they will always be in the best hands.”
Hillsborough pet parents share their Rover experiences
Amanda was very prompt and communicative while we were away. She took great care of Sela and our apartment while she was housesitting.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Josh was an absolute gem of a cat sitter! Will definitely book again!

Sydney house sat for my dog Nala (60lbs german shepherd mix) over a long weekend for us. She was incredibly communicative throughout the entire process with multiple updates and rounds of pictures every day. She took care to learn about our general schedule with feeding and walking. Nala is pretty scared of other dogs and Sydney was able to manage all of that like a pro. Nala loves Sydney and I highly recommend Sydney for all of your pet care needs!

Anna was amazing! She took care of our dog Lily at our house for a week while we were in vacation and took such good care of her! She took her on walks, played with her and even gave her a bath - which was not expected!! Everyday we got lots of photos of Lily having fun! She also left the house spotless. We will definitely use Anna the next time we go on a trip. I highly recommend her!

Alia sent me frequent updates and asked lots of good questions, which demonstrates her dedication to treating my dog exactly as I do! Alia did a home stay and treated my house respectfully. She is very patient with my anxious dog. Suki says thank you!!!

Jae bonded quickly with my very shy 10-year-old brown tabby. She was very flexible and followed instructions easily. I would definitely have her stay again!

Bryan has been our go-to dog sitter for the past year. He’s consistently reliable, fast to communicate, and we always come home to a happy pup! Highly recommend

Ariela was a wonderful sitter for our two senior dogs, one of whom requires daily medication. She was very communicative throughout the stay and made sure to send us daily updates and photos, which we really appreciated. It gave us so much peace of mind. We would definitely book with her again.

Cole was wonderful with our reactive dog Fritz! He house sat for us and was very responsive and professional. Fritz took to him very quickly. Highly recommend Cole and we plan to have him watch Fritz in the future.

Sophia was responsive and responsible. She managed two very different dogs well. Will definitely book again!

Elizabeth took great care of our dog Fritz while house sitting for us. She was very communicative and professional. I would highly recommend Elizabeth and plan to have her watch Fritz in the future.

Uma was a wonderful dog sitter for our dog, Appa, over the weekend. She was super communicative and friendly throughout the entire stay, providing regular photo updates of their adventures. Appa clearly had a great time with her and enjoyed all of the playtime and attention. I highly recommend her services to anyone in need of a reliable and caring dog sitter!
Best sitter you can ask for. Genuinely caring and loving to my dog. Provides updates, pictures, and walks. 10/10 would recommend. My definite first choice for any pet care.

Lisa took such good care of our dog and our home while we were away for the weekend. In fact, it was cleaner than when we left it. 😀Definitely an exceptional dog and house sitter.❤️🐶

Thanks For looking after Frida again, Connie! Love all the photos and it was so easy to coordinate with you. + Frida seemed like a happy customer when we got back.

Cynthia did an excellent job with our dogs and house. She provided regular updates and even engaged our slow to warm older dog. Would absolutely recommend her services.

Catherine took great care of our dog while we were gone. He’s high energy and Catherine gave him lots of exercise and attention. She also regularly sent us pictures and activity updates. On top of that she took great care of our house even taking in packages and stripping bed etc. Would love to have her help us in the future!
