“Angelica was efficient, friendly and very loving to our two Brittneys. One is young with lots of energy and one is old and is more sedentary and she balanced their needs perfectly. I loved that she sent many pictures. It made our time away from our home care free! Happy to act as a reference for her! Jan”

“It was a pleasure having Sam watch our pups and would love to have her back! She was great about sending daily photo updates and confirming if our dogs’ quirks were normal/expected.”

“Chelsea is incredibly responsive, reliable, and easy to communicate with. It’s obvious she genuinely loves animals, and she took excellent care of my fur babies while I was away. I had complete peace of mind knowing they were in such good hands. I highly recommend her and would absolutely book with her again!”

“Alanna was wonderful with my 11-week old puppy. She sent me pictures throughout the day and kept me informed on how he was doing. Also, she worked on reinforcing his trainer which was greatly appreciated. We will definitely book again with Alanna!”

“Michelle was able to help take care of our dog due to an unexpected scheduling issue. She was highly responsive. It is clear that my dog trusts her a lot. She is gentle with him and took great care of the apartment. Thank you!!!”

“Felix was awesome! He goes above and beyond my expectations without even the need to communicate anything with him. He got so friendly with my Bella, they played all the time and he was amazing at sending photos and videos so I knew how my kitty was doing. I found the place looking better than when I left and Bella looks happy and well fed and looks like she had a great time. I am so grateful for Felix”

“Kiansu was great and booking with her was a breeze! She was very prompt with arriving for the housesit and regular walks for my dog, who immediately took to her. She also provided plenty of pictures of them going on adventures around the neighborhood which were super reassuring that my dog was in good hands. She was also a very tidy guest which I appreciate. Strongly recommend Kiansu for your furry friends!”

“Jacqueline watched our pup for the weekend at our house. Communication was great, the house was left clean, and our dog was happy and well-exercised when we got home. We’d recommend her as a sitter and would happily book her again!”

“Caroline is absolutely wonderful! She was prompt, showing up right on time. She was very patient with our dog, who is shy and slow to warmup to new people, and did all she could to make her feel comfortable. She kept us informed the entire time and sent photos and cute videos. We highly recommend her!”

“Margot was fantastic! She watched our anxious dog and house for a full week, kept the plants watered, and sent daily updates that put our minds at ease the whole time. We felt completely assured leaving our pup in her care and will absolutely book her again. Highly recommend!”

About: I will give your babies all the love and care they deserve because they are the best babies! I love animals and am diligent about their unique cares and support. I grew up with dogs and have several years of pet sitting and dog walking experience. No matter if your pets are shy, little, old, energetic or grumpy I will make sure they are very well taken care of and feel loved and safe in your absence. I work close by my range so I can pop over to walk and check in on your pet. I am completely willing to tailor the experience to best suit your pets needs for walks, food, sleep and company. It is important to me to help your pet keep whatever their routine is so they don’t experience any stress or discomfort while you’re gone.
“Parind was a fantastic sitter for our dog! He was consistently communicative and sent us many updates (and photos) while we were away. We felt reassured and that she was safe the entire time. She’s an older dog who needed extra medication and care; Parind took it all in stride and managed the additional needs. Our dog was loved and cared for, and he was respectful of our home. We look forward to booking Parind again!”
“Anastasiia did a wonderful job watching our cat and dog for the weekend! They were very happy and well taken care of, she sent regular updates, and the house was perfectly clean when we got home. We will definitely ask her to watch our pets again!!”

“We love Emmy! She is the absolute sweetest, and our pup just adores her. She is kind, thoughtful, and considerate, and we never worry for a second when our dog is with her. We will 100% ask Emmy to watch our girl in the future and couldn’t recommend her more highly!!”

About: I’m a caring, responsible dog lover who treats every pet like part of the family. I understand that every dog has their own personality, routine, and needs, and I take the time to make them feel comfortable, safe, and loved. What sets me apart is the personal attention I give each dog. I’m happy to follow your pet’s normal routine, whether that means plenty of playtime and walks, extra patience with a shy dog, or a calm and comfortable environment for a senior pet. I’m also comfortable providing the patience and consistency that young dogs and puppies need as they learn good habits and adjust to new surroundings. My goal is simple: for your dog to feel happy, cared for, and at home while you’re away-and for you to have peace of mind knowing they’re in good hands. “Marion was very responsive, sent updates of my dog while we were gone, and was respectful of our home! I definitely felt comfortable my dog was in good hands which helps when you’re away from home❤️”

About: I love both cats and dogs. I'm a patient, nurturing, easygoing sitter who appreciates all breeds and temperaments. I've had animals since I was a child, from rabbits to cats and dogs. I had a terrier and a Lab in the past. Making sure your pet has fresh food and water is important to me. I especially enjoy talking with dogs and playing with them. I love the outdoors and taking them for much-needed walks. If your pet is higher energy and wants to run and fetch, I'll gladly do so. Above all, I want your pet to be safe, well-fed, and happy. Your dog will be in great hands with me! I currently have some availability and am flexible. I am willing to visit morning, daytime, and/ or night time. My routine will include your baby! I will follow instructions exactly as given to me, whether that includes crating dogs or administering medicines. If you prefer minimal updates, I will do so. If you prefer a lot of them, I will gladly do so. I love providing them, as well as pictures!

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Belmont
Xander was great! He was so patient with Mycroft and won her over at her pace, giving her much needed company and supervision so I could enjoy a day away with friends. I’ve never been gone for so long before, but he was able to make her comfortable enough to sleep the day away—something she won’t do, no matter how tired, u less she feels secure. So glad to have him and will definitely book again. I recommend him highly.

Was very happy and pleased with Akosua staying at our home and watching our 2 golden retrievers. She kept us informed and was always responsive. Took our pups for walks, handled reactivity to squirrels and some GI issues. Would not hesitate to recommend to others, and will reach out to her next time we need a house/dog sitter.

Angelica is an exceptional dog sitter who consistently goes above and beyond for our pup. She is caring, dependable, and truly treats our dog like her own. We always appreciate the extra effort she puts into making sure our pup is happy, comfortable, and well cared for. Her communication is also excellent—she keeps us updated, responds promptly, and gives us real peace of mind whenever we’re away. We’re so grateful to have found Angelica and would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, attentive, and genuinely wonderful dog sitter.

Margot was fantastic! She watched our anxious dog and house for a full week, kept the plants watered, and sent daily updates that put our minds at ease the whole time. We felt completely assured leaving our pup in her care and will absolutely book her again. Highly recommend!

I can’t recommend our pet sitter highly enough! She has been absolutely wonderful with Mimi, our Shih Tzu, who requires medication three times a day. From the moment we left, she took excellent care of her and made us feel completely at ease. Her communication is exceptional, she keeps us updated throughout the entire day, from morning to night, with pictures and updates on how Mimi is doing. It’s so reassuring to know she is being well cared for, especially with her medication schedule. She also makes sure Mimi gets her daily walks, lots of attention, and plenty of love. It’s clear that she genuinely cares about the pets she looks after and treats them like her own. We came home to a happy, well cared for Mimi, and I’m so grateful for the peace of mind she gave us while we were away. We will absolutely be booking her again!

Belinda came through for us once again! She was flexible with our last minute plans, understanding of our old dog’s many quirks, and took great care of our place. We trust her completely and our dog does too. We didn’t think we could travel much with an elder dog, but Belinda makes it possible!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Belmont on Rover is $77.7 per night (as of September 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of September 2026, there are 9,161 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Belmont. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Belmont walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Belmont maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Belmont choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Belmont. On Rover:
- 92% of sitters can help with special care needs

- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
