About: What sets me apart is the combination of hands-on experience with dogs of all ages and temperaments, along with the level of care and attention I genuinely put into every dog I look after. I’ve worked closely with a young puppy, attending training sessions and learning how to reinforce positive behaviors and create an environment where a dog can thrive. I’m comfortable continuing training routines, maintaining structure, and helping puppies build good habits. On the other end of the spectrum, I also have experience caring for senior dogs who require extra patience and support—whether that’s assisting with mobility, following specific diets, or adapting to hearing and vision loss. I regularly dog sit for friends with very different needs, from high-energy dogs who need multiple long walks a day to older dogs who require a slower pace and more hands-on care. I’ve also cared for multiple dogs at once, making sure each one gets the individual attention they need. I pride myself on being adaptable and attentive, tailoring my care to each dog’s personality, routine, and comfort level. Beyond experience, what truly sets me apart is how deeply I care. I treat every dog like family, not just a job. I’ve even gone out of my way on multiple occasions to help neighbors find their lost dogs and have successfully helped reunite them with their owners several times. I believe it’s our responsibility to create a safe, loving, and positive environment where dogs feel relaxed, happy, and encouraged—and that’s exactly the kind of care I provide every time. I work full-time with a flexible hybrid schedule, which allows me to plan ahead one or two weeks in advance for working on site or at home. On days I go into the office, I can take pups on walks in the early morning or evening. I’m fully available for boarding on weekends, and depending on my work schedule, I can also offer overnight boarding during the week. I do my best to be flexible and accommodate each dog’s routine—whether that means early morning walks, regular potty breaks, or sticking closely to their usual schedule. If your pup is used to a 7am walk, I’m more than happy to start the day early to make sure they feel comfortable and cared for. I prioritize creating a safe, clean, and comfortable environment that helps every dog feel at ease, whether they’re in my home or their own. In my home, I have a private, fenced backyard that’s only accessible through my apartment, so your dog can safely enjoy fresh air. It’s partially covered as well, providing some protection from rain. Inside, I keep my space clean and dog-friendly, with cushioned area rugs to prevent slipping and give dogs a comfortable place to walk, play, or relax. I also provide cozy blankets and an outdoor dog bed so they have options for resting wherever they feel most comfortable. Cleanliness and routine are very important to me—I wash food bowls after each use and refresh water bowls daily. Dogs are welcome on my furniture, but I always respect and follow your home rules to maintain consistency. If your dog isn’t allowed on furniture, I will reinforce those same boundaries. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I’m very respectful of their space and attentive to instructions. I carefully follow all provided routines, house rules, and notes to ensure your dog experiences as much consistency and comfort as possible while you’re away.
About: I grew up with pups and have been the primary caregiver to my pup for 5 years now. I understand pups’ needs and temperaments quickly, will make them feel at home and make sure their needs are met and boundaries are enforced. I’m currently working from home so I am always home with the dogs and have plenty of time to play with your pups. I am available on weekdays and weekends. I have a fenced yard and two living spaces where pups can chill out. I have a 20lbs 11yo Papillon who is very gentle and gets along with other dogs.
“Julissa did a wonderful job caring for our senior cat Luna and taking care of our home in our absence. Our cat requires a pill everyday and is a runner, but Julissa took great care of her. She even got our usually painfully shy cat to come over and sit with her for some company each visit - we were very impressed! Julissa was very communicative, leaving reassuring notes and taking wonderful pictures of our sweet girl. We will be booking with her again in the future.”

About: I've been around animals almost my whole life. I volunteered at an animal shelter in high school, have had cats of my own since 2013, pet sat cats and dogs for friends and family, and have had experience raising kittens as well as experience in TNR. Currently available all day and can be available for evenings and/or overnights if needed. Starting in late August I will not be able to visit your pet between 8am-12:30pm as I am a part time preschool teacher. But I am more than happy to spend time with your pet when you're not able to so they have company until you return home! As a life long animal lover, I understand pets are more than just an animal, but they're part of the family. I take time to get to know each pet and will do all I can to ensure that they are always safe in my care, whether during a walk or pet sitting in your home.
About: My family and I have a love for animals. We have gone through many different species of pets including dogs, cats, hamsters, bunnies, and birds. Apart from my family, I’ve helped house-sit and cared for my friend’s dog for a few years now whenever she’s away. During that time, I’ve handled daily walks, feeding, and making sure the dog feels safe and comfortable at home. I currently work part-time, which gives me a flexible schedule and extra availability to care for and walk dogs. I’m able to provide consistent attention and accommodate different walking times throughout the week. I like to follow their normal routine to keep them comfortable. I make sure they are fed on time, get regular walks, have fresh water, and receive plenty of attention and playtime.
About: I prioritize the safety and happiness of your dog combined with clear and prompt communication with you! Vacation can be stressful to prepare for...rest confidently that your pet is being cared for by someone who loves animals! Pet care is what I centrally plan around. From my day to day to my evenings and weekends! I am working as a side job but give my full attention and care because our companions are our family! I will treat your dog and home as if it were my own. A well exercised dog is a happy and sleepy dog! I would do my best to give them the stimulation and attention they'll need to thrive in your absence!

“Xilin was an amazing cat sitter! She did daily drop-in visits while I was on vacation and took such great care of my cat. Every visit, she made sure he was fed, his litter box was cleaned, and his water was refilled. She also spent time playing with him and giving him attention, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. She was reliable, attentive, and clearly genuinely cares about animals. I came home to a happy, relaxed cat and a clean space. I would absolutely book Xilin again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and thoughtful pet sitter!”

“This is my 3rd time booking Criss to drop in on my cats and as usual she’s AMAZING! Can’t recommend her enough to others :) She’s so lovely with both of my cats and it’s evident they love her from the pics she shares with us. She plays with them, gives them treats and food. I always have such a peace of mind with Criss. This time around I also happened to receive some unexpected edible packages and Criss was so generous putting them in my fridge. Criss, you’re amazing!! 💕✨”

“Heidi took very good care of my kitty while we were away over the holidays, and even spent some extra time with him on Christmas. Our house was immaculate when we came back, too! Thank you again for everything, Heidi!”

About: I’ve been a dog lover my entire life and grew up around dogs of all sizes, including our own family Pit Bulls. Caring for animals has always been a part of my life, from helping care for our family dogs to pet sitting for friends, relatives, and families through UrbanSitter. I’ve also provided house sitting and cared for both dogs and cats, giving me experience with a variety of breeds, personalities, and routines. My husband and I became dog owners in 2021 when we adopted Beau, our rescued 8-year-old Chocolate Lab/Weimaraner mix. I’ve trained him myself, which has given me valuable experience with large breeds, daily exercise, basic obedience, and understanding each dog’s unique personality and needs. I’m comfortable caring for dogs of all sizes and breeds and take the time to get to know each dog’s individual personality, routine, and preferences. Whether your pet enjoys long walks, playing fetch, puzzle toys, or simply relaxing at home, I’ll tailor my care to what makes them happiest and most comfortable. I offer boarding in my home, where your dog will be treated like part of the family. Beau has a calm, gentle personality and enjoys the company of other friendly dogs. He thrives on his routine, and because of that, I understand how important consistency is for pets. I always prioritize safe introductions and make sure every pet feels comfortable, secure, and loved while they’re in my care. As a middle school administrator, I’m dependable, organized, patient, and attentive to detail. I understand how important trust and communication are when someone is caring for a beloved family member, so I’ll keep you updated with photos and messages throughout your pet’s stay. Since school is currently on summer break, I have flexible availability for boarding, house sitting, walks, and drop-in visits. During the school year, I’m available for morning drop-in visits before work, afternoons after 4:30 p.m., evenings, and weekends. During the summer, I have a very flexible schedule and am available for boarding, house sitting, drop-in visits, and walks throughout the day. Once the school year begins, I typically start work at 7:45 a.m. which means I’m also available for morning drop-in visits before work if needed. After work, I’m generally available beginning around 4:30 p.m., as well as evenings and weekends. I strive to keep pets on their normal routine and make sure they receive plenty of exercise, attention, and affection! Your pet’s safety, comfort, and routine are my top priorities. My husband and I live in a spacious 1,200-square-foot, two-bedroom apartment with our calm, friendly 8-year-old Lab/Weimaraner mix. We have plenty of room for dogs to relax indoors, along with easy access to a large grassy area right outside our home for bathroom breaks. We also live next to a walking trail, nearby schools with open fields, and two local dog parks for dogs who enjoy extra exercise and socialization. Every pet is different, so I’ll always follow your preferences and routine, whether that means leisurely neighborhood walks, playtime, or simply sticking to familiar habits. I carefully introduce dogs when appropriate, supervise interactions, and provide regular photo updates so you can feel confident your pet is happy, safe, and well cared for.
“Lisa did a great job watching our sweet, shy cats for a week. While they hid during her visits, we arrived to them in the best spirits of any of our travels so far. She was very communicative and left photos each day and also left our home in great shape. Would highly recommend!”

About: I’m an experienced two-rescue owner who knows anxious dogs, reactive leashes, meds, and senior-dog care. Scout just passed at 13 years. Now, I have my six-breed, 6-year old mutt Gemini. Real patience, not just promised patience is required with my dog Gem. For example, she doesn't always bring the ball back during fetch, and that's taught me to meet every dog where they are. Your dog won't be a job to me. They'll be a guest, treated with the same patience, attention, and affection I give my own. ✅❤️😌🐶 My specialties: anxious/reactive dogs, seniors, multi-pet households, big dogs (40 pounds+), high-energy dogs I'm currently working project-based contract work remote, so I'll have plenty of time to play with your pups! I'm a copywriter, so I'll see your requests for care ASAP! I'm available M-T, F 9-12. In your home, I follow your routines exactly — feeding times, walk schedules, medications, and house rules. I keep doors and gates secured, never leave dogs unattended outside, and send photo updates so you know they're safe and happy. In my home, dogs are treated like family: supervised at all times, given a calm space to decompress, and introduced slowly to my own two rescues only if they're a good fit. Safety, comfort, and clear communication come first, always.
“Angelica took such great care of our dog while we were away. From start to finish, everything went smoothly and gave us real peace of mind. She was reliable, communicative, and clearly attentive to our dog’s needs.”

“Poppy took care of my cat when I was away for a few days. She was great! My cat clearly liked and trusted her. I'm really pleased and wouldn't hesitate to book with Poppy again.”

“Felix is great! We always feel relieved when we go on a trip and Felix is available to take care of our cat. He is very cognizant of her eating habits, and adjusts when she’s being picky.”

About: I’m an animal lover who has been walking dogs professionally for over 10 years in the Bay Area. I’ve owned 2 dogs and they have been the best part of my life. I miss them while I’m in college, so would love to walk your dogs and give them all of my attention. I can help with leash/walk training while I walk. I’m bilingual and speak Farsi fluently and beginning level Spanish. I have a Golden Retriever at home in Northern California and used to have An American Eskimo dog. I have walked up to 10 dogs on my own at a time and know how to handle multiple leashes at a single time. I’m very responsive to texts and will communicate very quickly. My schedule is different everyday due to my class schedule for school, but I’m flexible to work with you to schedule something! I can’t wait to get to meet you and your pet and get my puppy-time in! I work full time, but have every Monday off! I would love to work with you to see what we can schedule during the rest of the week’ I’m very mindful of keeping doors and gates closed. I will always go by any guidelines you provide to care for your pet while you are away.

Yiheng was absolutely wonderful! I came home to two happy, well-cared-for cats, and everything was spotless. She took such great care of both my cats and my home. She sent lots of photos and detailed updates after every visit, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. I always knew how my cats were doing, what they ate, how they behaved, and all the little details that showed she was really paying attention to them. It’s clear that she genuinely cares about animals and treats them like her own. I would absolutely book with Yiheng again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, thoughtful, and caring cat sitter!

Mackenzie took wonderful care of our cat for an extended period of time. After every visit, she sent us detailed updates that gave us great peace of mind. We truly can’t thank her enough. Thanks to her, we never had to worry about our cat while we were away. Since she is a cat owner herself, she built a great bond with our cat. I would highly recommend Mackenzie to anyone looking for a caring, reliable, and trustworthy pet sitter.

Rachel has extensive experience caring for pets, is highly responsive, and always makes sure everything is clean and tidy before she leaves. It has been a pleasure working with her, and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter.
As ever, Kim took wonderful care of my cat and Russian tortoise while I was gone for almost a week. She has cared for them several times now and always does a great job, is very communicative, and always ask questions if there’s any doubt about something she’s supposed to do. This time she also had to take on my complicated plant watering schedule and did everything exactly as requested. I always come home to happy pets and everything peaceful and looking like it should.

This was my second time having Leonie care for my cats, and once again she was absolutely wonderful. My girls remembered her right away, which says so much about the kindness and care she shows them. I was away on a solo backpacking trip with little to no cell service for several days, so having someone I could completely trust gave me incredible peace of mind. Even when I couldn’t check my phone, I never worried because I knew my cats were safe, loved, and well cared for. She truly goes above and beyond in every way. She’s reliable, thoughtful, communicative, and genuinely cares about the animals she looks after. It’s rare to find someone with that level of commitment, and I feel so lucky to have found her. I wouldn’t hesitate to book her again, and I wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for an exceptional pet sitter. Having Leonie as a cat sitter make me excited now about going away, since I know my cats have someone who can look after them properly.

I cannot recommend this sitter enough! They took absolutely wonderful care of my cat, Anya. They were incredibly responsible and detail-oriented—making sure to refill her dry food, top off her automatic water fountain, and even fill up her extra water bowls. They also gave her the exact treats I left out (freeze-dried treats and Temptations) and spent a long time actively playing with her. In addition, they also sent me the most beautiful, high-quality photos of her! I felt completely at ease. Highly, highly recommend!

Yuemin is the best!! I've booked her so many times and she always does a great job. She sticks to my notes exactly, so I never have to worry about details getting missed. You can tell she truly cares about the cat she's watching, not just clocking in and out. Highly recommend Yuemin!

Deborah goes above and beyond to care for my pup Lyla! She even made time to come over and meet my dog prior to our first walk - which was booked last minute due to unexpected schedule changes - to make sure Lyla felt safe and comfortable with her. I really appreciate her flexibility in scheduling and I’m so glad I have peace of mind when leaving Lyla in her care. Thank you!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
