“Aik came by the house before his petsitting visit to learn where everything was... he followed instructions perfectly and sent a picture of the one cat who came out to see him when he was here. Looking forward to having him take care of the cats, house and plants again!”

“We had Rebecca back to sit for us again and she did a great job. Our shy cat (who also loves attention) opened up pretty quickly and enjoyed all the treats, pets and play she provided! She took great care of both of our cats while we were away and we’d happily have her back again.”

“I highly recommend Yujia! She’s been taking care of my dog for the past 4 weeks and has been great. She feeds her, takes her to the park, and always sends me pictures and updates. My dog seems very happy and comfortable with her. I’m really glad I found her!”

“Samantha was so so great with our dog! Our husky can be a diva and she was so patient and communicative with us while we were away. It was so great knowing that our dog was so excited to see her every time she checked in.”

“Hope was absolutely amazing with my fur babies. She made the whole experience very easy, especially since it was my first booking, using the app. She sent me updates and pictures and communicated everything. Would definitely book again she was the best and just amazing overall!”

“Blessy was great! Super communicative before, after and during the week she looked after my cat. She even did some light cleaning since the litter tends to track so I didn’t come home to cat litter everywhere. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a sitter!”

About: Hi everybody my name is Maya! I’ve been taking care of animals since I was very young ever since I adopted my first dog at 8! 🐕 I’ve had so many pets from dogs, cats, fish, birdies to hermit crabs 🦜 I work part time and finishing up my degree at the local community college in my area so I have tons of free time to take care of your baby! I have a friendly older mini schnauzer and would love to meet your baby! Of course if not, no problem, we have a balcony and tons of space to roam!

About: I grew up on a farm in Colombia, where I was surrounded by animals from a very young age. Caring for dogs, cats, and other animals has always been a natural part of my life. I am attentive, patient, responsible, and affectionate with pets, and I always make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. I can provide feeding, playtime, walks, companionship, and basic care according to each pet’s needs. I truly enjoy spending time with animals and treating them like family. I am available to care for pets in the mornings from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the owner’s home. I can also take dogs for walks, provide companionship, feed them, and make sure they are comfortable and well cared for during my visit. I am reliable, responsible, and enjoy spending time with animals. I always prioritize the safety and well-being of every pet. I follow the owner’s instructions carefully, ensure pets have fresh water, food, and exercise, and keep them in a safe environment. During walks, I use secure leashes and pay close attention to their needs and behavior.
“Richard was beyond amazing! He took care of our Jasper for the few days we were out of town. We received daily photos and messages detailing his play time. Richard even brought over some cat toys for Jasper to play with. On top of that he kept the surrounding area of his litter clean, and also cleaned his dishes. He truly made us feel at ease. Jasper was in excellent hands while we were away. Highly recommend Richard.”

“Gina was great with my cat who warmed up really quickly to her. She is very friendly and has the patience to allow pets to get familiar with her. She made sure my cat was getting the care and playtime needed during the 4 days we were out of state. I highly recommend booking with her to watch your pets.”

“Amie did a great job taking care of our 2 cats. She is reliable and highly responsive. My cats felt at ease with her. I will definitely book her again whenever we need cat care!”

“Jessica sent photos of suki daily and seemed very well cared for. She had plenty of food and water and was in a good mood so I know she took good care of her”

“Heading back from a business trip and feel so relaxed knowing Maria helped take care of our big girl. She was on-time for each drop-in and provided great notes and pictures. All very much appreciated since this was my first time away. I have another business trip coming up and after I get done writing this review, I will be checking on her availability to help again! You're now stuck with us, Maria! :)”

About: Hey there! I’ve been pet-sitting friends’ dogs and cats for years. I’m the person at the party that hangs out with your dog near the snacks 😄 Open to overnight stays and also walks/check ins, or local hikes if your pet wants a little adventure. I’m a healthcare admin professional, currently working a hybrid work-from-home schedule. I’m available mid-day through the evenings, and occasionally weekends for overnight stays as well! I am able to travel a bit to petsit your fur friend where they’ll be most comfortable. Can follow any rules you have for your pets, just let me know!
About: Pets are humanizing. They remind us of our obligation and responsibility to preserve and care for all life - James Cromwell As a child I spent summers on a farm and have always been connected to nature & animals. My first pet was a chicken at 7yrs old and had cats my whole life, even throughout college! My first dog was a female Shelted Sheepdogs (sheltie) then we got her a brother a year later. What fun sweet memories and joy having them growing up. Humans can learn a lot from our pets, their unconditional love & playfulness. Caring for animals is a privilege. Similar to raising children (I have two teens) and requires lots of awareness, love, patience, attention to detail, and kindness. Safety is always priority number one I work an office job from 8a-5p during the week and am available for pet care after hours, early mornings, and on the weekends. If a client is near my office or home I’m able to visit sooner. I live in a nice neighborhood near a great park and walking trails. My home is safe, organized, clean with fenced yard and two pets (dog & cat) to keep your fur baby company. If your pet is crate-trained I can support that too.
About: I've cared for my own 2 cats since 2018 when they were kittens. Now an expert in convincing and bribing cats to love me (while sometimes shoving meds down their throat). An excellent poop scooper! I work from home in Burlingame (Hanover Burlingame, if you are a neighbor, hi!). Weekdays are wide open for me to care for your pet child. Check calendar or with me for weekend availabilities :D For drop-in visits, I first take off my shoes (always!). I strive to keep your home, your child's food & litter setup as mess free as possible
“Zahudy was great. She was very attentive our dog, Oliver, and communicated in detail with us every step of the way. Oliver behaved as if we never left home and I think Zahudy played a major role in him doing so well.”

“Lauri has been great and has come for a few drop ins with our 3 dogs. They love her and she gives them plenty of love and attention. She goes above and beyond and helps out with things like picking up poop without being asked. Thank you Lauri!!”
The median cost per visit for pet sitting in Burlingame is $30

Hope took great care of Biscuit for us. She arrived on time, followed Biscuit’s meal routine, walked her and got her back into the crate reliably. Hope sent me updates and photos, keeping me in the loop on how things were going. Biscuit enjoyed her time with Hope and we would certainly ask Hope to care for Biscuit again. Thanks, Hope!

This was our second time booking Andrea, and she did an amazing job once again! Our kitties really like her, and I can tell she gives them extra care and attention. She follows all instructions perfectly and always sends me such nice photos and videos and detailed report, which we really appreciate while we're away. We feel very comfortable knowing they’re in her care. We would definitely book Andrea again!

I highly recommend Yujia! She’s been taking care of my dog for the past 4 weeks and has been great. She feeds her, takes her to the park, and always sends me pictures and updates. My dog seems very happy and comfortable with her. I’m really glad I found her!

Jasmeen was fantastic watching our cats during our extended trip. Since we’ve used her before, we already knew they’d be in great hands, and she went out of her way to accommodate our schedule. She is truly one of the best sitters on Rover, we couldn’t recommend her more!

Outstanding! I cannot recommend Natalie highly enough. She looked after our cats for three weeks and each day gave them excellent care with detailed reports and photos. She outfoxed an invading ant colony, offered to do laundry where cats had sickup-ed, cleaned floors of accidents, brought extra treats, supplies and litter from home.

Jo-Anne took excellent care of our guinea pig, dependably coming over daily during our long time away. She was kind and caring to our piggie, even going above and beyond to bring over extra homemade toys and looking up ways to enrich our piggie’s day. It was such a comfort to know that Jo-Anne was there every day, and we really appreciate her diligent care of our little one. Thank you so much, Jo-Anne!

Aik went above and beyond when I had a time sensitive package unexpectedly delivered while I was out of town. Aik went back to the house 2 extra times to be sure it was put inside without me even asking... I was SO appreciative as it allowed us to enjoy our time away without stressing or having to track down someone else to put it in!

She was absolutely wonderful! She took great care of my cats, kept me updated, and made me feel completely at ease while I was away. She’s such a sweet and kind person, and I wouldn’t hesitate to book her again if I ever need a cat sitter in the future. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone reliable and caring!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
