Our pet parent history: Over 18 years, we've raised puppies (black Lab and Boxer mix) and then a cool cat found us, making a party of 5. Post-trio, we rescued a middle-aged Boxer who was sweet on humans but not so much with other dogs and spent several years walking on the wild side with her before she became street-settled. We've been dog park regulars and hosted furritos of friends for slumber parties and were short-term vacation fosters. We've gently nursed our dogs through neuropathy, lung cancer, and Cushing's disease. We found great people to care for our girls on Rover and want to do the same for you! We miss being dog parents dearly and will care for your pets as if they were our own. If you happen to have dog & cat siblings, they are welcome, too! It’s summer break for one of us and the other is self-employed, so we have tons of time to dedicate to your furrito! We prefer not to leave your pup unattended — generally one of us will be with your doggo at all times. Your dog(s) will have access to all parts of our non-smoking home, sofa and beds included! Our dogs were free range, we do not have a crate. We are happy to use yours, please bring if needed. About: I am a physically active recent retiree and capable dog lover who recently lost my beloved Wheaten Terrier after 11 great years with him, so I'm well able to care for your very active or senior dog that might have special dietary or physical needs. I'm recently retired and home every day, so I have lots of time to care for your pet. Drop-off and pick-up very flexible every day and evening. Although we have a securely fenced and paved back yard, it contains a swimming pool, so we kept our own pet indoors or on our fenced in, covered deck/patio which is also secure. We have a large dog crate which our dog slept in every night, but this is flexible depending on your own dog's sleeping preferences. I do not let pets sleep on my bed. We live on a very quiet street with no 'through' traffic, so it's easy to walk your dog regularly without risking encounters with other pets. Our own dog was not comfortable around other dogs and this was easy for us to manage.

About: Have volunteered at a cat shelter for six years with young and senior kitties, and have had puppies all my life! Very comfortable with the grouchiest or shyest of the bunch. I focus on socializing and enriching activities so that your kiddos can go straight to a nap after I leave. Happy to do some cleaning during my visit to keep things tidy. Laid off right now and apart from studying for a certification, I'm home and available for visits! My radius is set small so I should be a max ~10 min drive away, easy :-) When doing home visits it's important to me to show respect for you and your home while you're gone. Open to following any additional non-pet instructions to keep your home fresh!
About: My personal approach to dog care is grounded in genuine care for their well being. Working with my clients I provide prompt communication to ensure your dog is safe, happy, and healthy! Growing up my family had a beautiful 30lb dog that I helped care for from a puppy to old age. Being a part of this process has shown me how to support dogs in each stage of life from rambunctious puppies (structure, training and enrichment) to easing the aging process (special diet, new steps to climb onto the couch, shorter walks etc). Depending on the activity needs of your pup, I’m happy to provide daily walks or short runs (1-3 miles). I'm currently taking a gap year so I have plenty of time for your pups! I'm available weekdays and, with advance planning, can provide housesitting through weekends as well. I live in a single family home with three dogs. However, our family dogs like their space, and it is not available for dog boarding.

About: I have taken care of and been around many dogs since childhood. Growing up, my first dog was a Jack Russell Terrier. We got him in 2009 and he lived a happy active life until 2021. In 2022, I adopted an Australian Cattle/Great Dane mix. I also have experience caring for and looking after Golden Retrievers, Labradors, Maltese, Pitbulls, and Dachshunds. My schedule is highly flexible! I am able to switch my schedule to my client's needs to make sure their pet is taken care of. I am available on weekdays, weekends, and most holidays. My dog is super friendly and loves having doggy friends around. I am able to go on long walks and spend time doing enriching activities.

About: I have lived with cats and a dog since I was a little kid. I have learned to take care of them and walk my dog around the neighborhood. Also, my aunt owned a small farm so I grew up around some bigger animals. (Recent pictures attached =) ) Currently I live in a small place in Burlingame so unfortunately, I don’t have place for a furry friend. Thus, I am looking forward to walk and play with your dog! I have a full time job but it has a pretty flexible schedule. I can adjust my agenda to walk your dog when it is more convenient for you. About: I am my mother's fourth child (I grew up with three golden retrievers). Two of the goldens still go to the beach everyday at ages 15 and 16 (they still live with my mother). I've been swimming, walking, playing, washing, cooking for, feeding, cleaning up after, chauffeuring and generally chilling with dogs almost everyday for 15 years. I'm accustomed to medication regimens and mindful of safe play, especially for elderly and disabled dogs. I'm also very comfortable with large and extra-large dogs. My childhood friends include a Newfoundland and St. Bernard. I have experience pet sitting in clients homes in the Bay but am new to Rover. I just started a sabattical from lawyering. Happy to be your dog's lawyer though (this is not legal advertising). I am on a work sabattical, so I am happy to tailor my schedule to you and your dog's needs. Please provide me with advance notice of your schedule whenever possible. I prefer to care for your dog in their home so that they are the most comfortable. Otherwise I would prefer that your dog and I establish a few walks or activities before boarding at my place, so that they feel safe and comfortable with me.

About: I grew up with pets in the house. I love animals and would love to take care of yours. I have a GR named Flash I work from home 4 days a week. I can take them out for walks twice a day or more. Bathroom breaks is anytime cuz my big yard I have a large, flat, fenced yard, and an energetic, occasionally crazy golden retriever to keep your pup endlessly entertained.
