Responsible and caring pet sitter
I’ve been around animals my entire life and caring for them has always been second nature. I grew up with a dog and a duck, and have continuously lived in homes with cats and dogs through college and graduate school, so I’m very comfortable with their routines and behavior. I’ve also cared for pets for friends and family over the years, including feeding, walking, cleaning, and making sure they feel comfortable and well cared for while their owners are away. I understand the importance of consistency, attention, and keeping pets on their normal schedule. I also have three tortoises of my own, including one I’ve had for nearly 23 years, which has made me especially attentive to routines, environment, and long-term care. I am currently volunteering at the Kitten Nursery with the Peninsula Humane Society, where I help taking care of kittens too young for adoption.

When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on keeping their routine as consistent and stress-free as possible. I follow all care instructions closely, including feeding schedules, litter box or cleanup routines, exercise, and any specific preferences your pet is used to. I take a calm and patient approach, especially with shy or more independent pets, and make sure they feel comfortable in their own space. I also keep the home clean and organized, and treat it with the same respect I would my own. I’m attentive to any changes in behavior or health and will communicate updates regularly so you know how your pet is doing while you’re away.

Aik was the perfect cat sitter! Very friendly, was proactive and took initiative in the care, and was very communicative. He also took very good care of my home and cleaned up all messes. Would definitely work with Aik again, and my cat loved him too! They can tell who good people are. Thanks Aik!
Five stars for Aik — couldn't have asked for a better cat sitter! Communication was easy and prompt throughout, and the updates and photos gave me real peace of mind. Aik is genuinely warm and pleasant to work with, and it was clear our cat was in caring hands the whole time. Highly recommend and will definitely book again!

Aik came by the house before his petsitting visit to learn where everything was... he followed instructions perfectly and sent a picture of the one cat who came out to see him when he was here. Looking forward to having him take care of the cats, house and plants again!
Aik was great - easy to communicate with, came to visit the day before to understand the lay of the land, and took great care of Pepper on her walk.
We can't recommend Aik highly enough! He took wonderful care of our two cats for two weeks while we were away, and the entire experience was fantastic. We booked with him on fairly short notice, and he was incredibly responsive, responsible, and detail-oriented from day one. Since we were traveling in a different time zone, waking up each morning to a Rover card with detailed updates and adorable photos of our cats was such a great way to start the day. It gave us tremendous peace of mind knowing they were happy and well cared for. What we appreciated most was how at ease Aik made us feel throughout the trip. Leaving your pets behind is never easy, but we never had to worry. His communication was excellent, and it was clear that he genuinely cared about our cats. When we came home, our cats were relaxed, happy, and clearly very well looked after. We're so grateful for Aik's care and would absolutely book with him again. Highly recommended!

Zeitplan
I have a very flexible schedule through freelance consulting work, which allows me to be available for pet care most days of the week, including weekdays and weekends. I can accommodate a variety of schedules, whether it’s regular visits or last-minute needs. The only consistent commitment I have is volunteering on Monday afternoons at the Peninsula Humane Society, but outside of that, I’m highly flexible and able to adjust to your pet’s routine.
