Accommodating, active, dog-lover!
I'm Joy, and I love spending quality time with dogs! Before taking time off to focus on pursuing my masters degree, I fostered dogs in Chicago for 7 years. I've had the wonderful opportunity to spend time with a variety of dog breeds across all ages. I recently moving to the Bay Area and am eager to spend time with dogs again! I live with my dog-loving partner in a spacious two-bedroom apartment and have the flexibility to work from home full-time. We currently have no pets of my own but I had a beagle named Toby in my younger 20s who has since passed. I love all breeds and have a special place in my heart for dogs in the hound family. Through my fostering experience I am especially skilled in potty training puppies, teaching tricks, walking stubborn sniffers, and of course playing with dogs and showing them an abundance of love!

Joy was awesome with my dog (Banana). She followed all provided instructions and lots of updates and photos throughout the stay. She was extra flexible with my schedule. I will definitely reach out to Joy when we need a sitter next!

We were so happy Joy was able to watch our 4.5 month old Golden Doodle, Kota! We were nervous since this was our puppy's first overnight away from us but Joy provided us with regular updates and pictures. We will definitely book Joy in the future when needed and would highly recommend her to anyone.

Schedule
I have the flexibility to work from home full-time and spend an ample amount of quality time with your dog. I am intentional about setting aside time for walks and playtime in my calendar throughout the work day.

Safety, trust & environment
I live a 4 minute walk away from Foster City Dog Park right along the lagoon so your dog will enjoy plenty of fresh air in addition to full access to my furniture! I also have a spacious fenced patio where I love to play tug and fetch with pups. It also includes an area with artificial grass where pups can take quick potty breaks as needed.
A typical day
I live right on the lagoon and love taking frequent walks outside on the waterfront path to enjoy the weather. I enjoy playing fetch with dogs and if your dog is up for it, I'd love to bring them on dog friendly outings (e.g. coffee or brunch on a patio, shopping at Home Depot or book shop, etc.)
