I absolutely adore all animals, but especially dogs and cats! I’ve owned 4 dogs and 5 cats over my lifetime and have always felt deeply honored to care for the pets of others. I strive to treat every animal with the same care and respect that I would pay to my own babies. I’ve been pet sitting for over 10 years independently and have been on Rover for almost 2 years. I’ve worked with a wide variety of personalities and reactivity levels. I am always open to learning more about your pets to understand how to give them the best care. If you have a reactive, “stubborn”, or medically-complex pet, please just let me know! I’m always open to work with any animal if we are the right fit for each other. I understand that your animals are a part of your family! ❤️🐾 Being apart from you can cause some anxieties, so I always aim to build a trusting relationship that will set them at ease in my care. I love returning to the same pets over and over and building a relationship that allows them to recognize me, feel safe, and know we’re going to have fun together!! I love to take dogs out to explore new places throughout the city but also recognize the importance of maintaining the schedule and environment they have with you. Please let me know what balance works best for your pet and what you are comfortable with! While I am getting to know a new dog, I will not let them off-leash. However, if you demonstrate their recall to me and feel comfortable with their ability to recall to new people, I am okay with working up to off-leash park time or fetch after a few walks on-leash. I want time to build mutual trust and respect but understand the importance of more vigorous exercise for certain breeds that off-leash running can provide.
